Yeah, totally agree with that. To paraphrase one of his comments I'm sure he said he hasn't done anything to prove he is a professional-level footballer despite playing in the MLS, tempting a club to spend money on him in our league, getting capped at international level and finally our management team signing him.

Theo Fucking Bair

Yeah the official twitter said a pay at the gate facility will be available tomorrow.

Mcfadden needs a trip booked to Turkey pronto.

Tbf like Semih Ayildek as well under McGhee we got offered to take both players without paying a wage opposed to us really wanting them. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

It's not a luxury we are afforded anymore due to the high turn around of players in this league. By all accounts the young guy is getting rave reviews from Arsenal fans so hopefully he can make a great impression at senior level. A teenage Anthony Stokes went from Arsenal to Falkirk in the SPL without playing a senior game and smashed it.

You're correct that it's great to have this forum to discuss all things Motherwell but your posts on the matter are coming across like you're having a bit of a meltdown over this particular transfer. Generally, you're a poster that seems quite reasonable but in this instance, it seems like you have made up your mind already that he's going to be a failure before he has even kicked a ball for us. Many seasoned Scottish footballers had stinking seasons by all accounts with St Johnstone last season one of which was highly regarded by us, I seem to remember Saints fans on Pie and Bovril moaning about Davidson deploying attacking-minded players in defensive roles last season.

I think he was on the verge of packing it in as he had been rejected by Dundee United prior to joining us. I'm sure McDonald actually took a while to settle in and only scored one more goal near the end of his first season with us. We could probably all rhyme off examples of players that we might have thought would have done well and others that wouldn't. I remember signing Steven Craig from Falkirk who were playing in the First Division, a guy who wasn't playing regularly or scoring much but we signed him after he was let go, done us a turn and we were never in trouble during his stay. Plus the likes of Nick Blackman, tremendous for us and later in the same season not so much for Aberdeen. Kettlewell signed Ross Stewart for County, a guy who couldn't get a sniff in a poor St Mirren team and he developed alright.

And just for even more perspective Stevie May is up there with Kyogo and Harry McKirdy for having one of the worst barnets in the league.

Having broke through into an MLS side at a young age, getting capped by his country and being sold to St Johnstone for over 100 grand you would think many have the opinion that he is a more than capable professional level footballer. While he did make 34 appearances in the league last season 28 of these were from the bench and just clicking through his soccerbase profile he was thrown on with 15, 10, and 1 minute to go regularly. I'm going to assume that's Kettlewell has signed him as a 'project' going by his statement the other week about signing someone who didn't enjoy the best of seasons (or words to that effect). I've been impressed by Kettlewell and how he has managed to move on so much deadwood, hopefully his gamble pays off.

Theo Bair confirmed.

Funny how careers go as Craig Broon much preferred him to Hutchy.

Jermaine Hylton signs for Arbroath.

O'Donnell and Obika are both a doubt for the weekend according to the recently posted social about the match. On the seeding front, obviously it would be great to miss the Old Firm at this stage but Airdrie and Forfar could pip us to the final seeding spots and we could potentially draw them or if they slip up and we end up seeded if we win our game it can throw up the same potential ties. So I'm not too fussed either way. I'd much rather everyone was just fired into the same pot, the clubs in Europe get to miss the group stages for the aforementioned reasons but they're like one tie away from already being in the Quarters.

Declan Gallagher joins Dundee United. Interesting one as Goodwin hunted him from Aberdeen not so long ago and I'm sure he was filmed in training telling Dec G that that he wasn't good enough before landing st St Mirren.

Conor Shields will be moving on asap according to Burnsy.

Riku Danzaki signs for Western United.

It had lots of blotchy patches for sure, I have no idea what causes that.

A wins a win, not a classic but the three points are most welcome. Queens retained the ball well early in the game passing confidently at the back but they kept over hitting long balls out the park. They had a spate of corners around the ten minute mark and it was around then I felt we started to click a bit. I felt we were our own worst enemy at times as Casey was one of the early offenders with a slack pass out of the back. On a few occasions we regained possession and played a ball forward but we were a bit static up top. Despite his miss it was nice to see Obika get some luck with his goal. That big number 5 in defence for Queens was having a nightmare it was a shame Obika couldn't punish him and the keeper for that miscommunication. It was quite funny when Wilkinson dinked the ball away from the keeper as he was rolling it out only for the long range effort to clip the bar. Special mention to Dom Thomas, he had three free kicks in useful positions and over hit each and everyone. Tough game as expected, we had a similar game against them at Firhill a few years ago which ended in the same scoreline.

I thought Queens were equally brutal at times, how many times did they sling the ball right out the park or lose possession trying to play out out from the back, if we were more clinical from those breaks we could have killed the game earlier. Our old favourite Dom Thomas had three freekicks in the second half late on and each and everyone one wasted. Kettlewell has stated that we are looking at a new forward, I think that young forward you mentioned only had a handful of senior goals. It'll be interesting to see who we get but I think someone with pace would be most welcome.

Also Mark Reynolds and Ross MacIver.

At 2-1, Obika managed to hit the post twice, Mugabi the underside of the bar and Wilkinson missed a sitter.

Saved by an offside. Another Lamie brain fart.
