  1. Not long left but its on this Twitch stream. https://www.twitch.tv/fctstreamnl
  2. Turns out he had a niggling injury to his calf before he was signed.
  3. I actually love it. It is nice to get a change every so often, hated the 80s throwback a few years back mind you. In less than a year it will be etched in the annals of time as Paul McG will be holding aloft the 2025 Scottish Cup trophy.
  4. Signed a new centre back, Liam Gordon ex St Johnstone.
  5. I'd imagine his wages would probably be too high for us and no doubt Hibs or Dundee United would be sniffing about. I wouldn't be surprised if we got landed with Scott Bain tho.
  6. I seen a post by Linlithgow Rose on Twitter saying we are playing them in a Testimonial match on the 9th July.
  7. Rab McKinnon, Stephen Pearson, Chris Cadden, Steven Saunders, and Brian Martin.
  8. Derek Adams is named the new manager of Morecambe.
  9. Stevie Mallan and former Aberdeen center-back Clark Robertson are looking to find clubs in Scotland. Robertson seems to have a decent enough CV but I can't really remember much about him. Mallan always seemed to flatter to deceive, St Mirren would seem the obvious choice. Hopefully, Kettlewell has put a deadline on the contract renewals as opposed to last year when someone signed on the eve of the campaign.
  10. Livingston at home is confirmed for 6th July.
  11. Here, my wife's gone to the West Indies.
  12. It was a great game, I remember it well. It was gutting that we just missed out on Europe after such a great result, the Rangers had only lost one other league game that season. We had beaten Celtic both at home and away as well but we had some poor results along the way which ultimately cost us in the end.
  13. Is Simon Murray out of contract? County paid a transfer fee to Queen's Park only a year and a half ago so you would think he would be on a longer deal. He's a player that never really impressed me while at Hibs or Dundee United but was done well down the leagues with the likes of Arbroath but at 32 he has just enjoyed his best season in the top tier. The Joe Lewis rumour originated from Pie and Bovril as did the one about Obileye signing away back in the January transfer window.
  14. He never made an appearance at Somerset or Firhill last season, I wonder what the issue is.
  15. Even the Daily Ranger is reporting Liam Kelly is away to Ibrox.
  16. He still has a year left and we would need to fork out some dosh. Joe Lewis is a name that keeps popping up via various sources.
  17. Going back to a fair old bit but we once canceled a contract of a Finnish defender that Harri Kampman signed on a PCA called Harri Ylonen. I don't know if he was recompensed or such or how we got out of that one. Saying that I'm sure things have changed a lot since then.
  18. I liked O'Hara as well, one of those players that could be deployed almost anywhere as he played mainly in a defensive midfield role for us but he did well filling in at center back, right back, and as an attacking midfielder but he did suffer several injury setbacks. According to the guy that runs Pie and Bovril, St Midden offered him an extra £500 a week.
  19. Six sub appearances, not even played 90 minutes in total and he has scored twice and assisted with a goal, it would have been two if it weren't for Oli Shaw, but I'm quite pleased with Moses' contribution all things considered. I think that is going to be the case. No offense to the guy but hopefully Obika is on the released list, Butcher and Maguire are the only real names I think that will be concrete. There were rumours of Mugabi heading to Dundee United. Apparently, it's going to be a busy few weeks.
  20. 3 points from 12 against a pish St Johnstone side this season. I thought the match was gearing up to be an entertaining affair as it went back and forth quite quickly without either keeper being tested. It was a great cross in to be fair from Carey for the opener but it's so frustrating watching everyone ball watching other than the forward. I had that feeling Bair was going to come up short with the penalty, he loves to hit them low to the left and I'm sure that was well researched by his former club. The less said about the second goal the better. They certainly identified Mugabi as a weak link as they kept pinging long balls right to him. I thought the ref was frustrating again at times, a Bair effort was well blocked in the first half and you would think the goalkeeper and defender celebrating the tackle and with everyone heading into relevant positions was enough to convince him otherwise but no. He also seemed to take an age making his mind up at times denying Bair a great opportunity in the second half like 6 seconds after he won the ball. I couldn't help but feel the footballing gods were watching over them today, a routine cross early in the game ended up being cleared off our own defender and it took a great save by Kelly to claw it away from the top corner. I'll give them credit for the three blocks on the line from our effort but when Spittal's shot came off the inside of the post and rolled into the keepers arms you just knew it wasn't going to be our day. However Moses goal was nicely taken, just typical it came on the 94th minute. Ross County hit the post twice late on in the game at Dingwall. TBF I hate travelling up that neck of the woods so hopefully Raith Rovers can do the business but I feel they will come up short.
  21. Chance to make yourself a hero and he does that. Quite a few former players involved in different playoffs across the board lately, most seem to have endured some misery.
  22. St Johnstone fans getting fired up the top tier today. Hopefully sign off the season with a nice win. I suspect they might fold like origami if we score first but I'm not too confident in us keeping a clean sheet.
  23. I seen it mentioned somewhere that Jon Obika was helping with the warm up versus Hibs. He is 34 in September and his injury record the last two or three years hasn't been great, I wonder if he is looking to transition into a coaching role. Hopefully that optional year on his contract was in our favour rather than his. I was pleased when Halliday signed as it gave us some league experience in the middle, he seemed to start brightly enough but he is so slow and ponderous on the ball and will never last a full 90. From the list of players posted above there isn't many I would be too sad to see go. If Kettlewell has made contract offers to any I hope he has put a deadline on them before we move on to other targets.
  24. Apologies. He was Stevie O'Reilly brutal in the games he covered.
