  1. The last forward we signed on loan from Blackburn did not fair too badly. Nick Blackman had like 29 appearances and 3 goals to his name before arriving here.
  2. Montgomery is away back to Sellick.
  3. I know the forward position is more pressing atm but I see Danny Wilson is on the verge of joining Queens Park, he might have been a decent addition to shore up the back but then again we have plenty options there.
  4. Least they can implement the old 2-3-5 formation. I know they were trying to get rid of Stevie May and Jephcott and one other.
  5. St Johnstone are about to sign a striker from the Northern Premier League, delving way down the tiers in England for talent. I feel quite calm about it all as it's not unusual for us to get many bodies in on transfer deadline day.
  6. Surely Colin Meldrum must pip him in that queue. He had some absolute clangers for us and I know he done the same at Rugby Park.
  7. I seem to remember O'Hara signed a pre contract with them around March time in 2022. I can't remember him getting much stick tbh but he thoroughly enjoyed Lamie's late equaliser against Livi which secured the top 6 place for us after it. St Mirren seem to have plenty of money to burn, I liked O'Hara but I don't think it was worth paying a premium for both him and Mandron.
  8. Well we're 1 point better off than we were after 22 games last season, four teams were all stuck on 20 points at the bottom at this stage, so its nice to see a side marooned at the bottom. Not trying to temp fate but you would think Livi would struggle to get back into things esph with the likelihood of them losing some key players this week, it'll be interesting to see how the match vs County goes tonight. Obviously Killie have been much improved this campaign despite the likes of Rory McKenzie still getting game time, the game at Fir Park earlier in the season was the proverbial game of two halves whereas the game at Rugby Park was a hard watch as we shoehorned people into positions they clearly weren't comfy with. It'll be interesting to see who we bring in this week, anyway hopefully we make it the third win at Fir Park on the bounce and get that feel good factor back.
  9. Yeah, in the league he has featured in 20 games scoring 3 goals. Still Lillian Gish tbf.
  10. Yeah, I heard that last week also and it has been in the works for a while. They paid over the odds for O'Hara and Mandron recently so won't be too surprised to see him rock up in Paisley.
  11. Did he not just manage United for a season in the Premiership?
  12. Felt we comfortably controlled that second half, hopefully we can add to the attacking front asap.
  13. It'll be interesting to see the replays of there goal as it looked well offside with Considonkey interfering with play. Delighted for big Bair.
  14. Colin Steven the ref today. I know we were well beaten earlier in the season but his performance that day ranked just under Stevie O'Reilly. I can see it being a stop start game with a single goal winning it, hopefully we aren't feeling generous up our end.
  15. I'm positive in the last year or so they offered great value family season tickets similar to what we do for the first time plus they gave out tons of free season tickets to Schools in the Renfrewshire Council Area.
  16. According to the guy the runs pie and bovril he previously mentioned that they apparently offered significantly more than us to sign the likes of O'Hara and Mandron. Seems like Lasley is taking the Dempster approach. Not too fussed on James Scott as he wasn't the finished article when he left us and hasn't seemed to have kicked on in anyway.
  17. Scott Burns mentioned we're close to signing right back Callan Elliot, capped recently by New Zealand.
  18. Yeah the Daily Rangers are reporting that it's us and Exeter that want to purchase Nouble for a small fee as well as Hearts gazumping us for Fraser.
  19. Obviously only when when we advanced to the next round but I miss the days of watching the cup action on the BBC on a Saturday night followed by the excitement of the draw where the team names were in blue ball's instead of being numbered. Ideally it would be nice to get a lower league team in the next round again and the ease checks draw each other would do just nicely but we'll no doubt get landed with Millie or St midden away.
  20. I expected more from Alloa today tbh, esph when some of their players have played at a half decent level. I thought it would have been a tricky cup tie but it was a pretty routine win, we were our own worst enemy at times with poor decision making, slack passing and so forth, you could actually feel the frustration as promising moves petered out with a misplaced pass. It's actually annoying to think that they never got into our final third until the 27th minute until they scored with their first effort, then they hardly got in our box again I think it was just the one other shot they managed to test Kelly with right after HT but that was that. Some nice goals today, also enjoyable getting a few back to back home wins. Hopefully we get another lower league team in the next round at home.
