Shaun Hutchinson knew he was London bound in his last season. He was desperate to go out on a high at Aberdeen and IMO played one of his best matches in Motherwell colours. He loved it at F.P. and gave 100%. Can the same be said of current players? I have no faith in these players putting it on the line, so irrespective of turn out of supporter numbers, they will fold at the drop of a hat!

Ross County were worse off than us by a long shot, yet with new management and shrewd player signings have overtook us in the league. Yet you say nothing could be done at MFC due to the January transfer window being sub standard players. The difference is they picked wisely to get out a hole and unfortunately we've dug ourself into one.

Ya Bezzer, What fans appointed Ian Baraclough? I totally agree regarding the auld heid appointment though!

The difference regarding Fergie, was he had talent and served his time at East Stirling, St.Mirren (excellent young team) and then the glorious Aberdeen team. Where does The similarities equate with Baraclough other than the problematic start at the club? I also enjoyed swanning around the country watching Davie Hay's 1 season team, however, I've absolutely no desire to re witness the crap endured for 2-3 seasons before the "right man" changed poor to mediocre football. It gives me no pleasure, seeing Motherwell FC slump into its current predicament, but mistake after mistake has compounded our demise. I just don't see the quick return many express, if we do go down. Gutted!

Reality won't yet have set in for the mega optimistic in our support. However, Partick Thistle the other week and tonight's match has cemented our play off position. I guess while there is a mathematical chance of escaping the play off, we've got to go for it. The dilemma is, 5 cup finals will inevitably cause injuries of sorts to key players, suspensions and possibly rotations of players and formations. IMO we're stuck between a rock and a hard place. We need to get a solid system that everyone understands and cut out the recurring mistakes that have plagued us this season. For this to happen we need every player fit and playing at the top of their game, in a system that works. How would you play the next 5 or potentially 7 matches? I'm sure the management team are already thinking about this already. Difficult choices ahead folks, I hope they choose wisely and we receive that little bit of luck that has deserted us so far this season. What are folks thoughts?

We had no out ball going forward yesterday. Ainsworth was doubled up on from the first minute and received zero supply and Sutton cannot play this target man role. The comments around where I sat, seemed to draw a similar conclusion. Nothing delusional, nothing malicious, just stating the bleeding obvious. The shape of the last few weeks dynamically changed. We ended up playing hoof ball again and looked a sorry lot. IMO 10th position is gone. the management team got it wrong yesterday and then persisted with it at 2-0 before baffling substitution switches. A relatively poor Partick side showed up major deficiencies in our line up, so we need to address all these issues prior to The Rangers Play Off match. Good luck on that one, I just hope the new players hold no fear and get stuck in.

This team has turned the corner. The shape, formation and commitement are miles ahead of a few months ago. The unfortunate situation is that Ross County have hit an unbelievable run of form and my main worry was we would run out of games and end up in the play offs. However it all pans out, we must continue to improve and get that winning mentality again. 10th position is our target, but if we lose out, we must be mentally and physically prepared to win a two legged play off against either Hibs or Rangers. However, if we can match or better R.C. in the remaining games, the head to heads will be absolutely crucial. Motherwell Fc need to pull out every stop to bring back supporters in huge numbers, whether at F.P. or at away matches. Incentives, buses or whatever, get the fans backing the team, because there is only fine margins between staying in the top flight or dropping down. Keep it going lads! COYW.
