  1. We're also ignoring the fact that McHugh/Archdeacon or both may have a bigger role this season. Sutton, Murphy, McHugh, Archdeacon...and two more for me.
  2. Put 2 1 us down on the predictor, so go with that. -----------Ruddy----------- Saunders Craigan Hutchison Hammell -------- Reynolds------- ------ Forbes Coke O'Brien-------------Slane -----------Sutton----------- and that line up is good with me.
  3. Thats the way i see this one. Hateley will have a very minimal first team role this year, more one for the future.
  4. St Johnstone 1 - Motherwell 2 Also spotted that out of the herald/evening times team Darryl Broadfoot and Bert Mitchell have tipped us for relegation this year. Think they'll be suprised.
  5. Was also bemused as to why they had Mark McGhee throwing in his tuppence about every team for the coming season. Filled me with hope though, as he doesnt have a clue about alot of the signings teams have made this year and has absolutely no idea how St Johnstone play

    Jim Gannon

Jim Gannon's the answer to all lifes problems
  7. John Sutton, won everything. Brilliant tonight.
  8. The referee was abysmal tonight. La Liga?? No my friend, you'd be chased off a junior park. Motherwell were tremendous. Fantastic fight, brilliant strike from Forbes. Coke, Hammell, Hutchinson and Big John were all exceptional. Optimistic about heading into the new season. Another striker and defender to give us options, but this team is looking good. Jim Gannon is the answer. Fair play to the Steaua boys, they were classy in the first leg and were clinical tonight whilst playing poorly. Onwards and upwards!
  9. Daryll Duffy? Banged in 13 for Bristol Rovers last season. Gannon may know a bit about him, has SPL experience, was handy enough at Falkirk. Think Rovers paid money for him last year, so maybe out our range
  10. Still one of the best oggies...
  11. Now thats a balls up!!!
  12. See they've picked up the german dutch portuguese and russian leagues. So coming together. Plus they've now got the AFL contract. So thats me sorted. Just a shame about Craig Burley...
  13. Craigan is a solid player who controls our defence very well. However, for whatever reason, he is more prone to cocking up than alot of defenders. Just one of those enigma's...would still have him in my team for the work he does do.
  14. Whoever voted for craigan should be fed to crocodiles. John Ruddy by a country mile
  15. Good craic at daniels the night. Shame about the result

    Paul Mcgrillen

    Tragic, RIP Paul McGrillen
  17. 6th would be a good effort, Semis for either cup would do nicely, Think Steaua will be too much for us

First clue then...its no gonna be blue
  19. McGhee came in, got the players fit, installed a bit of confidence in them, done all the things that a competent manager should do (Remember we had Malpas for a year). That goal against St Mirren on the opening day of the season seemed to be the shot of adrenaline that took the club through the Autumn months. Rightly or wrongly the sad death of Uncle Phil, i believe, gave our players the determination throughout the rest of the season to finish the job irrespective of McGhee (The Hearts cup game at tynecastle being a good example). However, Mark must be applauded for the way he dealt with this situation. I believe that the second season is the perfect gauge to judge Mark McGhee. His non-delivery of transfer targets, his bizarre team selections, two poor cup defeats. Yet on the other side he installed discipline in the players, played decent football on occasions whilst selling on players like McCormack and Porter and maintained our 'usual' league position. Mark McGhee has never been an outstanding manager. He is a competent one. One that does the basics of management pretty well. McGhee and the players gave us one season of magic that wont be forgotten. Nancy Away, going to celtic park and winning, the hearts cup game, the dismantling of Dundee United that fateful day. The after taste of Mark McGhee however, isn't a very pleasant one. He wont be missed by me.
  20. ........Just like Wales....
  21. McGhee's enthusiasm for the job in his first pre season and the job he done in year 1 will never be forgotten. However in year 2 he took his job and this club for granted...and also for a ride. Looking at his record...we should have known!
  22. The ESPN boss must of been out taking a piss when they were dishing out the games to each channel
