  1. Wouldn’t disagree with that. Mugabi has made a couple of errors recently, so maybe the experience of O’Donnell is the way to go. A bit worried about KVV potentially being missing as I don’t think we have any obvious replacement. Maybe Efford through the middle and Roberts & Woolery in the wide areas..
  2. I’d go with 4-3-3 - Kelly, Mugabi, Sol, Lamie, Carroll, Ohara, Donnelly, Shaw, Woolery, KVV, Roberts.
  3. Feel bad not giving it to Woolery after a great assist and goal, however without Liam Kelly’s brilliance the game would have been out of sight by half time!
  4. Remarkable! Huge credit to the manager, coaches and players, even the most optimistic Motherwell fan wouldn’t have seen that coming at half time. I know I’d have taken a 4-0 defeat and gone up the road with no injuries! Rode our luck at times but battled well! Kelly was immense throughout and Woolery was amazing for both goals!
  5. Donnelly far from the worst performer out there. The madness for me is playing with 2 forwards and Tierney at a venue we know we’ll concede 70/75% possession regardless of what we do. At least one, potentially two, of Efford, Woolery and Tierney should not be playing today.
  6. Game over. How often do we lose 1 against Rangers and another straight after?! Seems to happen ever other game against them. Wouldn’t be surprised if we ship another 6 today the way we’re playing.
  7. I’d keep Ohara & Donnelly, not too fussed about the rest.
  8. A good few options for a change yesterday! Thought all of, Mugabi, Sol, Donnelly and KVV had good games but Mark Ohara brought everything we’ve been missing from our midfield. Energy, drive and will to win, fantastic performance from him and great to see him back!
  9. At least you’ve given me some hope reading that spiderpig! Despite the fact I don’t share your faith!!
  10. Not sure where we go from here to be honest. Losing soft goals, unable to score. Midfield poor. If it wasn’t for Kelly I’d be worried about a relegation battle coming. Aberdeen at 29/20 on Sat looks like buying money.
  11. Alexander just throwing sh1t at the wall every game and hoping something sticks. No wonder the players have no idea what we’re trying to do!
  12. Thought the 3 centre halves all played well last night, but had to go for Kelly for 2 great saves towards the end. Don’t get the nominations for Slattery, played 1 very good pass to put Van Veen through on goal in the 2nd half, apart from that I thought he looked out of sorts and out of position (too far forward). Although it’s bloody hard to see anything at that far end when your behind the goals!
  13. I’d change McGuire & McGinley for Slattery & Carroll. Would also have Shaw in for Donnelly if he was fit. The rest with a rocket up them after that 2nd half on Tue night. Fancy a 3-1 win.
  14. Are we always awful the first game back after the winter break or is it my imagination?
  15. History says when we’re bad under Alexander we’re very bad, just living up to that….
  16. Do we have any subs?! Been crying out for fresh legs in the middle of the park.
  17. Thought it was a yellow to be honest. Very harsh red, wouldn’t have be happy if it had been for us!
  18. A lot more to do with Roberts giving the ball away and selling O’Donnell in the process.
  19. Roberts bloody awful. Get him off at HT
  20. Cracking goal from the wee man! Very very similar to his strike at Fir Park against St Johnstone at the end of 2020!
  21. Thought Donnelly controlled the midfield and had an excellent game given how long it’s been since he started in the Premier League. Cornelius and Van Veen both took their goals really well, however had to go for one of the centre halves as they were both outstanding. Sol shades it from big Bevis.
  22. Was sceptical of Alexander before this week, despite his record being good on paper. Now I’m finished with him, constantly picks the wrong team i.e all of Carroll, Donnelly and Van Veen would improve that first 11. Leaving us outnumbered in midfield every game, not stopping crosses, allowing teams all the space they want until they get in the box, short corners, long throws, everyone back at corners etc etc
  23. Lose midweek and we’re bang in trouble. 2 or 3 players starting week in week out that should be no where near this level of football. Add to that our “best” players playing poorly and we’re only heading one way. Agree with others that 3-5-2 is the way forward with Lamie or Solholm and Carroll coming in at the back and Ohara into midfield (on the right) with McGinley, Grimshaw and Woolery making way.
