  1. We’ve been poor and could easily have been 2 or 3 down before we eventually came into it. But the handballs a stone waller, how the 2 on commentary missed it completely I’ll never know. Then as some have said the ball doesn’t go anywhere near out from the pictures I’ve seen for the one Cole rolls in. Conspiracy theories will be rife if Gallagher gets sent off 1 game away from triggering a contract extension! Seedorf is a man down most of the time I’m afraid. Let’s hope he’s replaced before it’s 2-0.
  2. Well pleased with that today, as I really did fear the worst! Not just the point but the heart and desire to keep Rangers out after the equaliser. We've all seen us repeatedly fold after losing an equalising goal to one of the old firm. 2 or 3 point from the next 2 games and a couple of new faces in and I think we'll be ok.
  3. Can’t remember being quite this pessimistic heading into a game. Hope I’m wrong but 3 forwards (including Seedorf) against Rangers is madness and really asking for a skelping. With Crawford & Polworth in midfield, we better hope wee Alan plays out his skin.
  4. Not disagreeing, as he’s not had a good season, but the alternatives are undoubtedly worse! McGuire, Crawford, Grimshaw.....
  5. Totally agree but the only other viable option is Ohara alongside Gallagher and I think we need him in the middle of the park to complete.
  6. Might be pessimistic but I think it’s damage limitation tomorrow I’m afraid. Both County and Accies have far worse goal difference than us, let’s hope we keep it that way. I’d go with a 4-4-1-1 Kelly, O’Donnell, Gallagher, Mugabi, Carroll, Lawless, Ohara, Campbell, Polworth, Watt, Cole
  7. Also, we should deffo be noisily demanding one of these games (Killie or Saints) is played at the end of the month in the free Scottish Cup slot. Not a chance we should have a free weekend whilst Killie and Saints are allowed to pull games forward before these outstanding games are played.
  8. Spot on re Celtic. Bizarre situation when it would have been better for Celtic if Jullien had been a close contact of MORE players! That way they could have said they can’t fulfil the fixtures (both of which they have failed to win), take the 10k fine and play the games later in the season with a full team.
  9. I’d love to say it’s an unbelievable verdict but nothing should surprise us in Scottish football. Admit to COVID breaches and get a 10k fine rather than play a reserve team and almost certainly give up 3 points, I know which I’d choose! Bet Celtic are raging they bothered to play a weakened team earlier this week, the 10k fine would be far preferable, especially for a club with their finances. As some have said we need to try and use this to our advantage, to motivate the team into getting themselves out of the shit that we are most definitely in!
  10. No strong opinion either way but pretty uninspiring whatever way you look at it.....
  11. 100%. Don’t think they can have Celtic breaking protocols and playing a reserve team whilst St Mirren & Killie break protocols, get the games called off and then play them with a full team...
  12. I thought he was our man of the match to be honest! And I wanted him dropped...
  13. It’s a shocker of a decision. If it’s given against Gallagher for pulling then we should be seeing a penalty at every corner in every game.
  14. I know what your saying, however dont you think he’ll have watched recordings of our last half a dozen games over the last 24/36 hrs ? Not to mention any prep he did for the interview process. I think he’ll have a fair idea with the exception of maybe some of the fringe player who haven’t played much recently. You’ve also got to imagine Las will have a bigger input today than maybe in the weeks going forward. Suspect Ohara will come back in and Kelly will make his debut, don’t expect many other changes to be honest, although i hope he brings McGuire into the middle of the park, think he gives us a bit more strength in there which is lacking without Donnelly.
  15. Yeh, just a 1 game ban I’m pretty sure.
  16. I think it’s the end of this month he’s out of contract.
  17. Presuming potential transfers away from the club are not an issue with tomorrows team selection, I think 8 of the 11 pick themselves with 3 places up for grabs. We'll surely start with, Kelly, O'Donnell, Gallagher, O'Hara, Carroll, McGuire, Campbell and Watt. The other 3 are far more tricky! Think I'd go with a 3-5-2, play Ohara at the back and bring in McGinley to play with Gallagher in the 3. Polworth (I know...) in with Campbell and McGuire, then Cole (or maybe Long if fit) with Watt.
  18. Watt put in a shift and looked like he cared but less said the better about his finishing... McGuire the only player with pass marks for his short time on the pitch.
  19. A few thoughts after that today. Chapman and Mugabi are simply not good enough and should not be see again in a Motherwell shirt, not their fault but they belong at a lower level. Depending on how long Carson & Fox are out, we need to bring in 1 or 2 goalies. 1 with some experience. Presuming Gallagher & O’Donnell don’t leave, a defence of those 2, Ohara and Carroll should be more than good enough to keep us up. We need an attacking midfielder to play alongside Campbell and hopefully Donnelly. A defensive one as well if Donnelly not back this month. Although McGuire needs another look at in that position whilst Donnelly is out. Need a goal scorer and a winger to play with Watt. Long and Cole maybe be good enough as replacements but not as starters and the less said the better about Seedorf and Hastie.
  20. After today we need to act quickly. Tommy Wright being the obvious. Knows the league well, has kept St Johnstone out of trouble for years, will bring an organisation and determination.
  21. Genuinely think I would have saved that....
  22. The biggest issue in the next game is Hamilton will guaranteed be more up for it than this lot... Defeat on Saturday combined with County beating St Johnstone at H and we’ll be rock bottom. Happy New Year guys!
  23. This feels like some kind of torture..... From our terrible long diagonals, to losing another soft goal, to giving away a stupid penalty, to a complete lack of fight and desire, to Lamie giving the ball away every time he tries to pass it more than 10 yards, to listening to these two talking a lot of Jordan Whyte. The whole thing is grim grim grim.
  24. And why the hell was O’Donnell shooting on the 92nd min instead of heading to the corner flag. Experienced player, should really know better.
