  1. Looking at what we have left to choose from I would go with a 4-4-2, Gillespie, Tait, Aldred, Hartley/McGuire (hopefully at least one of them will be fit enough), ATS, Grimshaw, Gorrin, Campbell, Turnbull if fit (Frear if not), Johnson, Sammon....Sad to say against the wee team, however I would take a draw now, given our injuries, form and points advantage.
  2. Slow and not in good form? Who the hell should be playing today then? Unfortunately that describes more that half the team at the moment...
  3. Agree with the point above re players playing in correct positions. I'd go with 3-5-2 Gillespie, Tait (RWB), ATS (LWB) Aldred, Hartley, Dunne, McHugh, Gorrin & Turnbull, Main & Johnson..... I like Campbell, however he seems to be really out of sorts at the moment. Don't rate ATS, however I don't see any other options......Suppose the one alternative is to move McHugh back and put Dunne at LWB and bring in Campbell/Grimshaw, however I think we need McHugh's presence and battling qualities in the middle of the park at the moment and I think Dunne is more suited to playing centrally..... I fear another narrow defeat beckons........Wonder how different a season it would have been for both/either of these teams if Main had stuck that pen away to put us 2 up at Rugby Park a few months ago......
  4. Spot on Kmac, this is the exact team I’d play. McHugh is better at the back in my opinion but I think with Dunne back we could do with his grit in the middle of the park. The rest pretty well picks itself....
  5. Has to be Turnbull, however Cadden and McHugh not far behind. Pass marks for all for a change!
  6. I agree with the sentiment here (going 4-4-2), however playing two guys under 21 together in a two man central midfield would be very risky.......Think I'm in a minority, however I think Mchugh has been one of our better performers so far this season, not saying much I know, but I still think he needs to play..................
  7. My take on this is whilst we have been poor, ok very poor, I still think we have enough in the squad to finish above at least two of St Mirren, Dundee & Accies (in fact I suspect we'll finish just above all three)......However, anything less than 4 points from the next games will see us looking for the panic button! Dont fancy going into that really tough run of games Nov/Dec with confidence levels as low as they are.............I still think we'll do enough to stay up but it may be tight and it deffo wont be pretty.........For those of you who insist that we are doomed you can get 8/1 on a bottom 2 finish and 22/1 on a bottom finish from Skybet! Lets hope the bookies are right...............
  8. Not convinced his job is on the line just yet...........Hamilton & Rangers apart, we've lost the games we would have been expected to (by the bookies) and won the ones we have been favourites in, so maybe 2 points below where people would have expected by looking at predicting individual games. That being said, the 2nd half last week was the worst for a long long time........... I'd ditch the 3-5-2 and go with 4-4-2 with Carson, Tait, ATS, Aldred & McHugh, Cadden, Campbell, Rose, Frear, Main, Johnson. Subs, Gillespie, Hartley, Bigi, Bowman, Turnbull, Rodriguez, Maguire Not convinced at all by ATS, however options at LB are thin on the ground. Far from perfect, but gets us back to Tait & Cadden together on the right and Frear playing further up the pitch.
  9. Agree..the mistake for the goal is clouding peoples opinion....Grimshaw has been worse! Keeps giving the ball away....
  10. Deffo wouldn’t drop McHugh. Been one of our best performers so far this season (not saying a lot admittedly). I’d go with a back 3 or Aldred, Hartley and McHugh, wingbacks Tait and Frear, 3 in midfield of Campbell, Rodriguez and Bigi with Main & Johnson up front. Cadden, Sammon and Rose on the bench. Alternatively go 4-4-2 with Tait, Aldred, Hartley and ATS at the back, Cadden, Campbell, McHugh and Frear in midfield and Main & Johnson up front. Cadden should not start unless is wide right with a RB behind him.
  11. Great post! Exactly the team I’d like to see start in the absence Bowman, Tanner and Dunne. Would deffo give us more ball players but still keep the endeavour of Campbell, Tait and Cadden. I am a fan of Robinson and he still has a lot of credit in the bank in my opinion, but if we start with Main & Sammon on Saturday I think we better start worrying........
  12. Or alternatively they prefer a player that puts a shift in versus one who doesn’t.........
  13. Totally agree. I’d go with him and Main (Bowman if he was fit...) On the basis of last weekend and today Sammon is one of the laziest players I’ve seen in a Well shirt in many a year......don’t think I can cope watching him this season. Also think we need to bring in either Bigi or Rodriguez to give us someone in there who can pass the bloody ball! If Cadden is not fit he needs the time to recover, if not he should get a rocket up his a**e for clearly ducking out of a 50/50 towards the end of the game. Nightmare day, however they are a good side, we had a few players out, Carson had one of his poorest games in a Well shirt and all of the luck went against us (Hartley hand ball, Johnson’s shot hitting the post and his disallowed goal) We’ll have better days but our manager needs to react to what we can all see......
  14. Just got an email reply from the club to say that the ticket office is closed tomorrow but that tickets will be on sale at Easter Road from 1pm.
  15. Surely Rodriguez plays after his 45 mins last week? I’d have him in for Grimshaw or Rose, although if Cadden doesn’t make it then it’ll be for him.
  16. Anyone got any idea if this game is all ticket for us and if so does anyone know if the ticket office is open tomorrow? Been working away and club haven’t answered my tweet or email.....
  17. Shows how we all see it differently..........I couldn’t disagree more, thought nearly everything good we did in the 2nd half came through him. Got on the ball, dictated play, picked the right passes and even put his foot in at times. Think he really showed up how poor Rose, Campbell and Cadden were. Not getting the chat that Cadden had a good game today, couple of good crosses in the 1st half, apart from that did nothing. Only Rodriguez, Frear, Carson and Johnson with pass marks for me.
  18. Long shot but anyone got 3 tickets for The Shed going a begging?!
  19. Was brought up round about Hampden. I would try parking around the Crompton Avenue/Elmore Avenue area. You can then walk passed three bridges on the way down to Mount Florida. Hopefully avoiding most of them on your way!
  20. Long shot but went online to get tickets for The Shed pre match event and it’s sold out! Was hoping to go with my Dad and daughter! If anyone has tickets that they’re are now not planning to use can you let me know?
  21. Anyone know if you can get tickets on the day at the ground or do you need to buy in advance?
  22. If it is called off or indeed a replay is required, does anyone what dates are likely?
  23. Tait in the Kipre position, with Cadden & Frear wingbacks?
