  1. Does anyone know what the dates are for any potential reply? Im guessing 13/14 March but not sure. Trying to book flights and want to make sure I can get to any replay if its needed.....(hopefully well do them at FP but its bound to close!)
  2. Campbell, hands down. Outstanding performance from the young man! Only Cadden & Ciftci below par, pass marks for the rest in my opinion! Back 3 solid, Rose & McHugh battled hard, Tait put in a shift and Main was a threat throughout (although probably should have finished more than 1 of his chances in the 2nd half). Carson had little to do but did it well.
  3. By no means would I say Rose has been good this season, however I thought he had his best game in a Well shirt at Tynecastle at the weekend.... I would deffo have started Bigi over Grimshaw when we have McHugh and Campbell already in there.....all too similar for my liking.
  4. Im more inclined to think Robinson would go with the following if everyone is fit: --------------------Carson--------------------- -----Kipre---------Hartley--------Dunne Cadden--Campbell--McHugh--Tait- --------------------Tanner--------------------- --------------Ciftci-------Main---------------- Aldred, Rose, Frear, Bowman, Bigi, Grimshaw, Griffiths
  5. Just went through security at Glasgow airport with the squad, didnt see Nadir Ciftci, however there was a smallish black guy with Curtis Main that I didnt recognise.......
  6. As some have said, a bit of context needed here. We were always going to go through a tough spell of disproportionate away games after playing 6 at home and 3 away prior to the semi final. That allied to Moult being out, plus a few of our other really important players missing games (Cadden, Hartley, Carson, Frear) has combined to see us really struggle. If you look at the last 5 games (since the game at Parkhead) weve only played 1 home game and we had to do that with 10 men for the majority of the 2nd half and still came out of it with a point! No doubt Saturday is now a big one given that we are at home against a team we would and should expect to beat, however if it goes against us I still believe Robinson has earned time from the fans to get it right. Turning on him at this stage, just over a month from him taking us to a cup final would be ridiculous in my opinion. He should and will be given the opportunity to bring a few in Jan and then lets see where we are come the end of Feb when those players have bedded in. Dont think well be top 6 but neither do I think well be relegated.....
  7. Looks like a 4-3-1-2 to me. Griffiths sold the first goal, for the 2nd game in a row, awful. Grimshaw and Fisher very poor so far my opinion.
  8. Anyone advocating Kipre & Dunne in the middle of a back 4 clearly hasnt watched these two players much......Whilst McHugh had a shocker on Wed night he must play at the back if Hartleys not fit. If the injury situation remains as is I would go Griffiths, Tait, Kipre, McHugh & Dunne, Bigirimana, Campbell, Grimshaw & Frear, Tanner & Bowman in a 4-4-1-1. If Hartley is fit then McHugh into midfield and Grimshaw on the bench. Think another defeat beckons if Im honest......we just cant cope with no Carson, Hartley, Cadden or Moult, give us any 2 from the 4 and Id give us a good chance but......
  9. Im hoping the team for Sat is Carson, Tait, Dunne, Kipre, Hartley, Bigi, Campbell, McHugh, Frear, Tanner and Bowman in a 4-4-1-1 formation. Need to play Frear as a winger not a wing-back. Assuming obviously that Moult and Cadden wont make it...I think weve seen Rose, Fisher, Petra and Griffiths are all squad players, able for the odd 10 mins here and there at best.
  10. Terrible terrible first half!!! Awful goalkeeping error for the first, awful mistakes by first McHugh then Campbell (I think) for the third goal. Look like I team that have never player/trained together......Only Frear looking likely to do anything at all. We so badly need Carson, Hartley and Moult back (and Cadden)..
  11. Agree with most of that, including the foul on Campbell, although however well Lafferty did, Kipre again very suspect and should have cleared it before Lafferty got to it. We were awful, Hearts were awful but defended slightly better than us. Would give pass marks to Campbell, Tait and Griffiths, the latter having virtually nothing to do (as did the Hearts keeper). Cant help but think a little more composure with the final ball towards the end and we might have got some joy. You could tell Hearts (and their fans) were nervous going into the last 10 mins with their recent record but we were so poor we couldnt really muster any pressure at all. If this is life after Moult its going to be a long long 2nd half to the season......
  12. Agree that Robinsons approach last night was correct. Would rather he concentrated on the players and preparing for the next game. The hierarchy at the club is in different matter in my opinion.
  13. Fully support the approach the club has take and urged them to do so. Well written statement that addresses the main points. There comes a time in all situations in life where you need to stand up and point out what has become completely unacceptable. No faith that itll change anything but the choice was to shut up and accept being shat on from a great height contually or take a stand and at least make it known we know exactly whats going on here.
  14. That's the team I'd play also. With Frear and Hammell together on the left for the first time in I don't know how long, we'll have better balance and attacking threat down that side. Although it will weaken us in the air defensively, not sure how big Thistle are as a team. Fancy us to win by goal with Moult again being the difference!
  15. Louis Moult, no contest! Scored twice and unlucky not to have had a hat trick with the one that hit the underside of the bar in the first half. Frightening to think where we'd be without his goals!!
  16. Hibs the better team and causing us big problems down the wide areas. Feel a bit sorry for Tait having to play on the left. Dunne is not good enough for this level (might do against the poorer teams). But the game has been dominated by as poor a first half refereeing performance in some time (and even I can't believe I am saying that after some of the performances I have seen in recent years) Lennon playing it perfectly by saying we are physical in the press this week, then clearly telling his players to go down on any contact......even having the cheek to complain so much about something he got spoken too. He really is a horrible wee sh1te....
  17. Great first half from Campbell. Carson with a couple of good saves. Louis missed a bit of a sitter. Dunne's passing, up there with the worst I have ever seen in a Well shirt! Rose anonymous...
  18. Good save from Carson IMO. As some have said, defence AWOL for the cross and after Carson's save. Let's hope Louis is fit enough to rescue us as we may need him too. Awful first half. Need to get Cadden wide and further up the pitch than Tait, change to a back 4 would be a good start.
  19. Happened to be on the same flight to Dublin as the squad this morning! Really hit home the amount of players I didn't recognise!!! Pretty sure the lad Cedric Kipre was there as he was sitting a couple of rows behind me! Nearly didn't recognise Dom Thomas, sporting a shocking bleach blonde hair do! Didn't see Robinson but all the rest were there.
  20. Spot on, agree with every word Gaz7. With Las being the most important of them all in my opinion. Would like to have seen him play another season and be phased out gradually and I think we may miss his drive and endeavour.!

    Dundee Motm

Went for Moult, the only hope we have of getting out of this mess. Not at his best but gave us hope with the goal and always works his socks off for the cause. Very surprised people went for Campbell, all for supporting the young guys, however he was virtually anonymous in the 1st half and not great for Dundee's 2nd goal. Also, for those of slagging off Ainsworth, he managed two assist (if the Henegans header had been given as it should have) in just over 30 mins on the pitch! I know he's frustrating but the question for me isn't can we risk playing him, I'd say can we risk not! Team for Ross C Samson (no other option), Campbell (I believe he has played right back before), Hammell, McHugh, Henegan, Cadden (playing central), Lasley (holding), Ainsworth, Frear, Moult & McDonald. Must get back to 4-4-2 and Moult & McDonald right up top in my opinion.
  22. Total undeserved lead for Dundee, all they have done so far is commit fouls and play high balls to the guy playing wide right. We have been on top but huffed and puffed with no real quality into the box. Get Bowman off and Ainsworth on, move Scotty up front and Cadden in one. As for the goalie, just cementing himself as thee single worst in our history. McGhee leaving us with him and an untried 18 year old is negligent.
  23. Agree re Gordon, did ok and certainly tried to get into the game. Also agree re Frear and Bowman, however Clay was poor, as was Pearson. Not saying Lasley was great when he came on but was far more involved than Clay. We really must not start with Clay & Pearson as the middle two on Saturday. Ideally we'd have McHugh in there but I don't think we can risk taking him out of the back line, so for me on Saturday I'd go with Lasley & Campbell in there.
  24. Mentions for Frear & Moult, however it has to be McDonald for me. Still think him and Moult will be the difference in keeping us up.
