  1. Thats similar to what I'd play also, Brill should play and if McDonald and Ainsworth dont start I'm finished with MM. Only other option I would consider is Hammell if he is fit at LB and Clay or Lucas for MacLean.
  2. I'd agree with most of this, although I'd play McHugh on the left of midfield when fit and I'd keep Las in the middle of midfield, rather than Clay and McFadden. Need to get back to playing Moult and McDonald where they are at their best.
  3. First thing to say about tonight was the better team won, however with our tactical line up we didn't half make it easier for them than it should have been. Firstly Scott McDonald does not have the pace to play wide in a front 3 (never really had) and needs to play centrally or not at all. Secondly Louis Moult is a centre forward, in the first half he was regularly in the right back position. These two players in my opinion are the best forward players we have, so for god sake let's play them where they're at their best! Thirdly, sitting off Hearts in the 1st half was showing them far too much respect, we were at our best in the first 20/25 mins of the 2nd half when we pushed up and got Moult and McDonald closer together. Goalkeeper has had a nightmare at both the 1st and 2nd goals and should now be taken out of the firing line. Say what you want about Las, however in my opinion he has been our best centrally midfield by far in the last two games (despite be taken off in both games). In the whole MM has done a good job for us but his stubbornness to refuse he is wrong at times in seriously infuriating!
  4. Complete lack of urgency and competitiveness. Exact opposite of the 1st half last week. Looks like we thought we just needed to turn up. Don't get me wrong they're not much better and only got the goal due to a shocker from Hammell. McDonald looking lost wide left, need to push him up front with Moult or get him off, although god knows who you play there instead....
  5. Las and McHugh for me, with Cadden and Johnson in the wider areas (although the latters billy big b@lls attitude is really starting to get on my nervous). Clay played well on Saturday but would still go with Las and McHugh when all are fit, although in saying that I don't think we can rely on Las to play 40+ games this season in the position he plays.
  6. Agree with all of that Lukemfc1. Also went against my better judgement and also left in a rage, but having time to cool off there were many more positives than negatives. We are clearly miss Louis and with his goals back in the team we'll be ok this season in my opinion.
  7. I picked up on that also! To be honest they were a cert for a soft pen tonight after the air time their moaning was given at the weekend! On the bright side at least it didn't decide the match.
  8. To get beat 4,5,6 zip without having a single player booked is a disgrace! 28 shots they've had, why because we've hardly put a tackle in.
  9. Someone please hold onto the bloody ball! Game is over, hold it and try and stop it from getting more embarrassing. Have we had a single player booked? Soft, respectful, easy to play against, yes all of these....
  10. Exactly this, we'd have pens being given at nearly every corner! In saying that we've been awful and deserve to be more than 2 down! Midfield, what midfield?!
  11. This could ruin what has been a good season. Disgraceful attitude.......should be throughly ashamed of themselves.
  12. Spot on! Without Las in midfield teams just pour right through us!
  13. Disgraceful performance.............should be ashamed....
  14. Unfortunately Watt out his depth.........more goals to come from our right side unless we make changes..........
  15. Spot on, still our best midfield player!
  16. Anyone know what date the final will take place at Hampden?
  17. Skippy and Moult both great yesterday. Went for Skippy though, hardly wasted a ball, gave 100% as ever, the way he battles centre halfs nearly a foot taller than him has to admired!
  18. Close one between Las and Skippy. Went for Las as he set the tone with his drive, energy and enthusiasm, not to mention great running to win the pen.
  19. Completely disagree about Pearson, he's be awful for weeks and it came as no surprise to me that in recent weeks the only game we've won he was missing. For some reason we have a support (on here at least) that would rather criticise Lasley. Las has had a poor season by his standards but part of the reason he makes mistakes is that he's in the game 90-95% of the time, unlike Pearson who plays when he feels like it, which in the middle of the park we really can't afford. To be honest his style of play hasn't changed much since he was with us first time round i.e disappears for 20/25 mins and then does something eye catching, then disappears again, we can't afford that in a relegation battle. For that reason he'd be taking a seat on the bench if it was up to me!
  20. With my limited knowledge he seems to do a good job. Certainly works exceptionally hard and without doubt has the clubs best interests at heart and as fans that's all we can ask. He seems to be forward thinking and deffo makes an effort to understand fans point of view (I know this from personal experience)
  21. Was also at all of those games and fully agree with all of this, particularly the team selections in the Hearts and ICT games and the criticism of players in public. Suppose you could put both the Thistle and Hamilton games down the bad luck but the late subs he made certainly didn't help! Heres hoping for an improvement in team selection and result today!
  22. This is the team I would play as well, although possibly given Ainsworth a start on the right rather than Johnson.
  23. What a stubborn, pig headed, arrogant manager we have. From blaming Ainsworth in public during the week to coming up with a tactical disaster today, that he then refused to change until 15 or so mins to go. Not often mad after our games (disappointed a lot), today there is one man to blame for our defeat and he's the one that makes (or doesn't) the big decisions. Not quite demanding his head but he really needs to take some responsibility for that shambles. The set piece goal (which to be fare may have come from him) should not deflect how bad that was today. Not a Pearson fan to be honest but much of his poor performance today was down to where the manager deployed him. Cadden tried hard but should not have lasted the whole game and Lasley had his poorest game for a long long time, again due to the system.
  24. Another terrible first half performance. Pearson looks lost where he's been asked to play, McDonald isolated and there's nothing for defenders to hit when playing long balls. Get Moult on at HT for Cadden or Pearson and at least give it a go. Bet he waits until it's 2-0 before he changes it though.... Rapidly going off McGhee and his arrogant style.
