Very worrying times indeed. We must beat St Johnstone one way or another a week on Saturday (I'm writing off Utd away as a defeat). One of the most galling things apart from the obvious is our lack of putting a foot in, committing fouls, getting yellows, breaking the play up and generally getting in teams faces. It's an absolute must when week after week you are facing teams who have better players than you. According to the BBC stats Celtic had a shot 17 shots at goal i.e must have been pouring through our defence yet we commit 4 fouls all game a get our one and only yellow card in the 84th min. Weak weak weak

Motherwell fans turning on Keith Lasley, heard it all now......disgraceful! Do the players need to take a hard long look at themselves, of course, do some of our 'fans' (and I use that term loosely) need to have a think before they shout/post, undoubtedly! Keith Lasey has had a poor season by his standards (although still managed to be 1 of our 4 or 5 better players in most games in my opinion), the rest of the midfield is struggling and yes Keith is another year older, however he is currently just being asked to do too much, going to Dundee and playing what was essentially 4 forwards after what we all witnessed at Hamilton was a big mistake from our new manager. Did Keith Lasley play a huge part in getting us to best of the rest 3 years in a row? Does Keith Lasley always give his all? To point the finger at him when the rest of the team is struggling as it is really is disgraceful (short memory's as fans).

Whilst Baraclough hasn't had long and has a huge amount of injuries to contend with, for me he has missed the fundamentals of what you should do when your struggling i.e pack the midfield, protect the defence and try to stop losing goals. Today we are (or were until Ojamma fancied a way out) playing with what is essentially 4 forwards, no bloody surprise the defence is under pressure and no surprise Lasley ends up running around like a headless chicken trying to do the work of 2 or 3. Not a popular move but given the injuries I would have played Reid in midfield with Las and Carswell, dropped Ainsworth and kept Watt at left back. Stating the obvious but we are in big big trouble, particularly with Ojamma now suspended and then maybe offski. Had thought until the Accies game that we had enough about us to escape, however I'm not so sure now. I also believe 2 teams will go down as whoever from the Championship makes the play off final (likely to be Rangers or Hibs) will deffo beat 2nd bottom the SPL. Worrying times......

Spot on! I dont post often but cant believe what I am reading! Yeh, time for a change in direction, obviously finishing 3rd, 2nd and 2nd in three consecutive seasons under McCall is not good enough! Eh, this is Motherwell guys.. what the hell do we expect?! We have had some horrible cup results and the last 4 or 5 games have been hard work but bloody hell show the man some loyalty after what he has deliver over his time in charge. Some of you guys are in for a serious wake up call, Stuart McCall has massively over achieved as have Motherwell over his time in charge, end of! I suspect when we look back this will turn out to be one of the purple patches in our history (just a pity we have managed to lift a trophy).

Best post I have read on here in a long time! Whilst it's disappointing to lose games we are expected to win do we really need the mass hysteria we see on here every time it happens? Stuart McCall has his faults and the fact that he sometimes doesn't seem to learn can be hugely frustrating, however in the most part he has done a fantastic job! We will, collectively, as a support look back on the last 5 or 6 years as being one of the best periods in the clubs history! Winning games, scoring goals, best of the rest, getting into Europe, let's not let 2 or 3 games (and I know it's frustrating) cloud what we have achieved over the last few years. One day, and maybe soon Scottish football will go back to being dominated by the city clubs (because they have the most money)

I suspect we'll see 4-4-2 with Kerr, Hammell, Hutch and Mick at the back, Vigurs, Reid, Leitch and Ainsworth in midfield and Anier and Sutton up front. I worry we'll get over run in midfield without Lasley, Carswell or even Lawson who are all willing to put their foot in but I suppose options are minimal!

Does anyone know if the game will be on in "the pub"?
-
Best memory of Parkhead is Kevin Twaddle thrashing one in, Shaun Teale got sent off and came and sat in front of me for the second half. Benito Kemble was dynamite that night!
-
Thanks. Will give it a go. If I need to pay for her then so be it.

Anyone know if an OAP's concession season ticket is the same as a child's? My dad is missing tomorrows game and my daughter would like to use his ticket to come along to her first game at FP.
-
Lasley just ahead of Humphrey for me!
-
Would love to go up to this one but don't fancy driving, I live in EK, anyone know what supporters buses are running and how you go about getting on one?
-
Thanks Foghorn & Real Dosser, will try calling my bank to authorise the Renfe tickets and will try using Paypal for the Alsa tickets. Thanks for the help.
-
Has anyone managed to book bus tickets with Alsa or train tickets with Renfe? I am having problems with both sites refusing payment! Trying to book the bus from Benidorm to Valencia on Thursday and the train from Valencia to Salou on Friday! Grrrr.....
-
Thats us got our plans in place, I think! Coach transfer from Alicante to Benidorm, Wednesday night in Benidorm, bus on Thursday from Benidorm up to Valencia, 1 night in the Eurostars Hotel, train on Friday from Valencia to Salou, Friday night in Salou, coach transfer on Saturday from Salou to Reus airport for the flight home. Just need to book a hotel/apartment for the Wednesday night in Benidorm and a hotel/apartment for the Friday night in Salou. Anyone been to either and have any suggestions?
-
My dad and I are doing similar steelboy, flying Glasgow to Alicante on the Wednesday with easyjet then returning to Prestwick from Reus on that cheap flight on the Saturday night. Not sure yet how we're getting from Alicante to Valencia or Valencia to Reus and not sure yet where we're spending the 3 nights either but going to work that out over the next couple of days.

Hope your right and I'm wrong mate! But better wages generally means better players and Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Hearts & Hibs all, to my knowledge pay bigger wages that us, hence they are likely to recruit better players in the long run! Obviously we have managed to buck that trend in recent season, partly due to Jim Gannon's (and Stuart McCall's) shrewdness in the transfer market, which has been great, however I don't expect it to last :-( . St Johnstone medium to long term are more likely to join Killie and us IMO fighting it out for best of the rest. Anyway I'm hoping for Copenhagen, easiest to get to and likely to be the only team we have a chance of competing with (unless the Pana really are going to have to offload most of a team).

"Likely to be Europa League contenders most years", you're having a laugh arent you? Normal service will be resumed some time soon I'm afraid with the ugly sister top two and the 4 city clubs fighting it out between them for the European places (their budgets are much bigger), anyone who thinks we can maintain top six football for the next number of years is being very optimistic IMO and for that reason I'll be making every effort to make it to all of our away games if I can get the money together. Nancy & Odense were unforgettable, Tom Hateley's last minute free kick in Odense was worth the money for the trip by itself!

Beating Hearts 3- 0 at Fir Park.

Lasley for me, just ahead of Jenno, Hutch, Randy & Hammell.

Agree with Tweed. First half was pretty even, a break of the ball either way could have seen one side up at HT. Second half we made individual mistakes that were punished unfortunately. We struggled going forward, although I thought Hump was one of the few that actually turned up today. I have defended Higdon all season when others have got on his back but he was dire today and has been for the last 2 or 3 games, if he can't win his fair share physical battles then not sure he should be in the team! Bad day, ref terrible, other results not in our favour, however keep the faith, we're still well clear in 3rd and we'd all have grabbed that at the start of the season or even at the turn of year. Bad news if Tom's family got grief today, some fans need to get a grip, however again I agree with Tweed twitter aint the place and McCall should be telling him that on Monday morning.
-
Hope its QOS. Easier game in my opinion and if its Aberdeen it'll likely get moved from a Sat 3pm kick off for TV. Utd v Celtic a cert for TV but think Well V Dons would be the other choice looking at the other games.
-
Lose Jenno and/or Randy in January and I could see us tumbling down the table and struggling to make top six. Our two most important players at the mo in my opinion.
-
More like can we play Aberdeen every week

Thought Hateley lost nearly every ball in the air to Samaras (maybe understandable given the height difference but still), wasted most of our corners (think one went on Craigan's head) and wasnt too clever for the winner either. Rules him out for me.
