Hard to judge until the new guys bed in and we see what they’ve got at this level. For what it’s worth I think we have 3/4 key players that if they stay fit (get fit soon in Butchers case) we’ll be ok, just. However If we spend any length of time without Kelly, Casey, Butcher and/or Spittal I think we’re bang in trouble.

Looks like a back 3 again with O’Donnell RCB. Making most of the running and should be at least 1 up with Obika’s miss. Although we’ve had a couple of hairy moments at the back!

Yeh, it’s an interesting one that and I think he would be good in there (when fit), however he’s played so so well at centre half it would be a big call to move him out of there. I suppose it'll depend on how the defence does without him at the start the season!

Fantastic news! I’d go as far as saying, get Butcher fit by the end of Sep (and keep both of them fit) and we’ll deffo stay up. Just a RB, LB, centre mid and centre forward before the window closes please.

No doubt today, Butcher was superb!

Did exactly the same yesterday. It’s bizarre that some clubs Utd, Livi allow you to use an e-ticket but others are still in the dark ages.

Just back from the game and encouraged we at least made a game of it at times. Better team won the game and we were a bit fortunate not to concede another couple towards the end. Slattery should have been hooked 10/15 mins before he was sent off, you knew 1 more foul against that mob and he’d be walk, but the decision itself is a joke, Cantwell kicks Slattery when he’s on the ground a few mins before it = no yellow, Slattery catches Cantwell with his arm whilst protecting the ball and the ref didn’t hesitate to get the 2nd yellow out.

If this is true it’s a huge risk! Appointing someone who has never managed in Scotland, won’t know other teams players, styles or formations and with 13 games left he needs to hit the ground running. I’m scared….

Hammell had VV playing wide left last weekend, was deffo not 2 up top. He only went through the middle when Obika got subbed at HT. Also, to my knowledge he only went 3 at the back at Pittodrie and O’Donnell was one of them i.e destined to fail

Over the moon with that 3 points! Massive credit to Kettlewell, the back 3 and matching up against St Mirren worked a treat. Thought all 3 of them stood up really well to the physical threat from Watt and particularly Main. Was a bit shocked by St Mirren’s tactics of constant high balls! Credit to Goss and Spittal (I’d have had neither of them in the starting line up), both played well in spells and certainly much better then they’ve been.

No McKinstry OR Crankshaw! Wonder if he’s going with 3 at the back in Casey, McGinn and Butcher. He said something about tweaking the shape in his interview, and St Mirren normally play with 3 at the back….

Way too early to say he's shite. Ineffectual would probably be the best word to describe him so far, but as I''ve said its likely to have been a bit of a culture shock coming half way across the world to an under performing team. Needs time to settle, but should be nursed along from what I've seen.

Maybe just needs some time to settle given he flew half way across the world a few weeks ago, to be dumped into an under performing team.
