  1. That clued up manager has already lost against us under Hammell this season! We’ll just ignore the soft red card and dodgy penalty that contributed to that win 😉
  2. I bought 2 yesterday for the East Stand and they say Away fan on them 🙂
  3. That’s my point, some of the players are just not good enough (majority Alexander signings), yet you expect Hammell to have us sitting pretty in the league.
  4. I hear you but had we appointed an experienced manager I suspect he’d be dealing with the same issues. None of these issues are new since Hammell took charge, all of them have been happening since Jan 2022 if not before. We need to back Hammell in the window (if we have any cash to manoeuvre) and give him a fair crack at it.
  5. “No threat, can’t defend, can’t keep clean sheets”, maybe take a guess and why that might be the case? Maybe the players (or some of them at least) are just not good enough and need replaced. Remind me how long Hammell has had in charge to replace players he doesn’t fancy?
  6. Worried like the rest of you but can we give Hammell a bloody chance?! Any manager would have struggled with the state Alexander left us in. I get that we need to start picking up points asap, but a pile on the manager is just not going to help. We need some bodies in quickly but surely Hammell deserves at least one full transfer window to see what he can do with the mess left to him. We’re still outside the bottom 2 (just) and we have a game in hand against a good few of the teams around us, so all is not lost yet.
  7. Haven’t seen any of tonight’s game but if Kelly and Lamie are the biggest culprits then god help us, two of our better performers normally.
  8. Must have imagined McKinstry out there tonight! In all seriousness you have a point, we’ve struggled badly since the days of Turnbull, Campbell and Hastie coming through. How much of that is down to Hammell I’m not sure to be honest.
  9. The only say Hammell potentially had was at the backend of the window, last minute panic mode after being beaten twice by an Irish League team. We were woefully under prepared for the start of the season and that’s in no way Hammell fault. Let’s at least give him one proper transfer window in January to try and bring in a couple of players that can make a difference. 4 players is possible in Jan but not a chance we’re signing 4 players that walk into the first 11, just don’t see us having the budget for that.
  10. Hammell’s had a bad night tonight but Alexander is 100% to blame for the ridiculously poor squad we have. Need at least 2 players in during Jan that’ll improve the first 11 or we could be on our way down.
  11. Van Veen is frustrating but we create so little without him. Scored one and made the other tonight!
  12. Where to start with that…. 😞 Absolutely coasting at 2-0, then with the deserved red card for that thug Power it really did look like there was no way back for Killie. Obviously we had other thoughts! The lack of changes was baffling after such a long break. Not hindsight as we were screaming for subs at 2-0, Cornelius for Spital was a bloody obvious change to give us more legs in midfield. Might be proven wrong when I see it on TV but think Kelly will be very disappointed with the equaliser, thought he should have saved the Polworth shot, despite how well it was hit. The only positive to take away from tonight is that for the vast majority of the game we were better than one of our relegation rivals.
  13. He wasn’t great pre the break but god help us if it’s true given the lack of options. Is the rumour that he’s picked up a knock?
  14. Moult absolutely plays for it, no doubt, but goalkeepers fouling strikers in that way happens the length and breath of the country every weekend and they get yellow carded as a matter of course.
  15. Just back from Tynecastle and to be honest when you’re in the ground it’s hard to tell if he got the big decisions right or wrong, but if he decides Gordon brought Moult down (and he clearly did) then he should yellow card him as a matter of routine. We all know the reasons he didn’t is because they were already down to 10 and that it was Craig Gordon the Scotland goalkeeper, disgraceful.
  16. This is what I’d play, but with one change being McKinstry for Tierney.
  17. I really think we need to keep a sense of perspective on how things have gone so far under Stevie H. Whilst Rangers were poor yesterday, Van B hasn’t lost a league game to anyone other than Celtic since he took over. As many have said Stevie inherited a mess of a squad that had just be beaten twice by Sligo Rovers! In terms of defeats this season we have lost to the Old Firm, Hibs & Hearts, Kilmarnock away and St Johnstone at home. With St Johnstone at home being the only one we would have been favourites to win! We’ve beaten St Mirren, Livi, Aberdeen and Ross C, with probably only the Livi game seeing us as favourites to win! By the end of Feb I think we’ll have an idea of how things are going to play out. Like most I don’t think we have enough goals to make top 6 (unless Louis can get fit and stay fit) but I also don’t think we’re poor enough to end up in a relegation scrap.
  18. Hope to be proven wrong but with Tierney, Morris and McKinstry starting, we look very light on players that are good out of possession. Would deffo have had Cornelius in over one of them.
  19. No Snodgrass then, off to Hearts. If he stays fit he’ll be a good signing for them.
  20. With what we have available I think this is what I would have gone with. Hoping a change of shape as well. After seeing Goss play more centrally in the 2nd half last week, it may work to have both him an Slattery centrally. Think Aberdeen will have too much for us today, but a good performance would give us some encouragement for the next couple of winnable games.
  21. Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibs and Utd massive favourites to be top 6, as for the rest wouldn’t be surprised to see any of us in a relegation battle. We’ll be ok, just I think, although I also think we’re Kelly and KVV getting injured away from being bang in trouble…
  22. He’ll be a happy man today then. Grrr…
  23. We now have 3 forwards and Tierney on the pitch, is he genuinely trying to lose by as many as possible?
  24. Can anyone put up a reasonable argument for us having 3 forwards on the pitch, it’s ridiculous…
