  1. My guess would be at the rear of the stand bud! The more the merrier
  2. No flags allowed inside Broadwood unless they have a Fire Safety Certificate and since the majority of our flags are homemade that is not possible. Really, what is the need? Would like to think it would be an easy win for us tonight but wouldn't bank on it as after all anything can happen in the cup. I'd keep the usual 11 and hopefully they can get a few goals and get the confidence back on track.
  3. Posted a couple of photos in the "Atmosphere" thread but noticed that in this snap you can see the flag being discussed: Clearly a home made effort by a youngster and after the actions by the police I doubt he will be as enthusiastic to make any more.
  4. Despite the end section of the East being the busiest it's been so far this season it didn't seem to gather as good an atmosphere as previous games. That said, this was the first time this season we had been behind so that would have had a knock on effect. Here are some photos of the display as the teams came to the field:
  5. The young lad got thrown out for having "h*n" on his flag. Coppers told him he would have recieved a football banning order but due to his age he was giving a warning. What I don't understand is how he got in with the banner if it was deemed offensive as every flag taken in to Fir Park over the past few weeks has been rolled out to show the exact content to the stewards before entry. Bit of an overreaction from the police if you ask me, they could have simply removed the flag and had a quiet word at the back of the stand.

    Fir Park Club

That is very true! However, with a club that size and the correct visions you could achieve quite a bit. I'm sure it was reasonably busy midweeks with the oldies? With so many rooms there is potential to have bingo, poker, live football, dancing etc. Almost something for all ages. That said, I'm not experienced in that field so I could be a mile out with that prediction.
  8. Maybe gutted would be an over-exaduration but I think Kerso showed last season how fantastic a goalie coach he is. Yes, it was Randolph who racked up the cleansheets but that also has a lot to do with his mentor.

Couldn't agree more but it will all depend on if the bar is owned by the brewery? Would be a fantastic opportunity for something new in Motherwell, especially with Starka shutting down. Perfect big hall complete with stage for live music, opportunity to offer one of the rooms to away fans before the match as well as pulling in 'Well fans. I could be completely wrong but I believe if run correctly, so long as the brewery isn't calling the shots, it has a great deal of potential.
  10. Heard in the pub before the game on Sunday that Kerso went to visit his wife and kids in Canada when the season finished and has yet to return. Not sure how reliable this story is. Will be gutted if we have Marshall in instead of Kerso.
  11. How many will be getting printed Matt? Sure they will all go quickly!
  12. Sorry if I've missed this but what time is the draw?
  13. Sadly I reckon we will be in the usual away fan during the goal but the best Killie trip I have been at was when were in the Main Stand and O'Brien got a double. Should be an easy win for the 'Well and hopefully a good turn out!
  14. Seen another poster linked this video in the ICT game thread so thought I would add it in here: Thought the atmosphere was really good yesterday, there was a period of about 20 minutes in the 2nd half where it seemed to dry up but other than that it was consistent and loud. Some newish songs aired and like Neil said on here, not sure if it was in this thread of the match thread, they are all simple, catchy and seemed to go down a treat! Lets remember though its easy enough to do well when were winning, lets hope we can continue this throughout the season, even on the rare occasions when were not top of the league As Rico mentioned, quite a few folk had brought their own wavey flags and that really helped to improve the colour in the section, keep up the good work guys
  15. Alright folks, As you will know there was a group of us who helped put together the cup final display and a few other displays at Fir Park and I believe that towards the end of the season the overall atmosphere at 'Well games was improving, with the United cup replay being one of the best nights at Fir Park in many years. Moving on in to the new season we would like to try our best to help improve the atmosphere and colour at Fir Park and would like to encourage as many others as possible to do so. Recently I visited Alesund in Norway and took in 2 game whilst I was over there and what really sprung to my attention was how many fans got involved in the singing. Men, women and children of all ages standing together, waving flags and generally just having a fantastic time supporting their local team. This is pretty much a contrast to Scottish football where you usually find, for example in the last section of the East Stand, a group of young males usually ranging from about 14 - late 20s singing the songs. Now I know this is down to many cultural differences and other factors such as traditions etc. and it will never be quite the same in Scotland but I would love to urge as many people as possible to help improve these things at Fir Park. Other teams in Scotland have introduced singing sections this season, with the obvious areas at the Old Firm; the Green Brigade at Celtic Park and The Blue Order and Union Bears joining up in the Broomloan at Ibrox this year. Added to this are Hibs who are trying to get a "12th man" singing section in the stand which used to be the shed and Aberdeen having a singing section. It is clear to those that go to Fir Park that the last section of the East Stand is the "unofficial" singing section so hopefully we can push on and have a good wee section that is consistent with singing throughout. Tomorrow we have a display planned for the teams coming out and we would love for as many people as possible to participate. Anyone can get involved so if interested please make your way to the end section of the East prior to kick off. Also, If anyone in the main has the opportunity it would be great if you could get some photos also. Looking forward to a new season, Mon the 'Well
  16. Buzzing for the game tomorrow! Got 3 Nancy fans coming over for their first visit to Fir Park so hopefully they get to see a comfortable 'Well win. We finished last season on a high depsite not winning the cup and the atmospheres were improving. We have a small display planned for the teams coming out, nothing major but would be great if those interested could get down to the last section of the East Stand prior to kick-off to participate and get the noise levels up!

    East Stand

Don't usually like to moan on here but I have to agree with what has been said. If you look at clubs all over the world, hate to say it but the OF being the perfect example, they play songs which get the fans up for the game. Now I know we don't have 'Well songs but surely there is better things the guy could play than the current crap thats being blared out!
  18. The more I think about this Leeds game the more I look forward to it. I see on the Thames Valley Whites website that their is potentially going to be a game in Norway? I'm over seeing Aalesund on these dates so that could be a belter, any further confirmation or info on that? I will be going along to the Falkirk game also!
  19. http://twitter.com/#!/robbie9fowler Brilliant to see his @ comments are just filled with Well fans telling him to sign!
  20. Sure McGarry has been involved in a few tweets!
  21. Not sure who exactly started the tweeting to Robbie Fowler, I think it was a 'Well fan called David McLean but over the past week or so various Motherwell fans have been sending messages to Robbie Fowler asking him to sign for Motherwell. This started when he announced he has left Perth Glory to return to the UK and wants to find a club. Earlier he asked "seriously, why are so many people asking me to sign for Motherwell?" then when I asked him if there was hope for Well fans he replied "Not my call..." If you have Twitter join the Fowler to Motherwell Campaign. His username is Robbie9Fowler
  22. Delighted at the prospect of watching Leeds at Fir Park. Marching on together
