  1. "There was always a great atmosphere here when I played and I'm looking forward to having the fans on my side for a change!" A dig at 'Well fans or just praising the Jambos?
  2. Alright guys, First post I think I have made on here since the final. Firstly can I say a massive thanks to everyone involved; from those who donated to those who helped set up and even those who turned up on the day knew nothing about it but still participated as without all of those people it would not have been possible. Another special thanks must go to the Supporters Advisory Committee who were a fantastic help in liasing with contacts and another thanks to the people at the club; Leeann Dempster, Alan Marshall etc who were great to deal with along the way. Personally I am delighted with the participation and the way it turned out, especially for our first display on this scale. The photos look excellent so lets hope more keep appearing. Moving on, as many of you know, we are aiming to create a much better atmosphere both at Fir Park and at away games. This will be from more organised displays, a lot more colour with flags, banners etc and most importantly through vocal support. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to get involved in taking this forward as possible so please if you are interested contact me via PM or send an email over to wearemotherwell@hotmail.co.uk and I am sure someone will let you know about any future plans we have. Finally, like someone mentioned in a previous post, we are still a bit short on the display so any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again everyone for making this possible!!
  3. If they pull there's off it will be quality but it's not easy to do. Ours will be amazing also! Can I just say thanks very much to everyone who helped out today, it's much appreciated and I look forward to seeing it tomorrow!
  4. I am aware the person who took this has made himself known to the club, knowing who it is, I am sure you will soon see his photos when he 'decorates' this forum with them. That's a clue btw....
  5. Green Brigade Statement- "We will be organising a display for the cup final on Saturday against Motherwell. This one will be perhaps our most ambitious and intricate yet in terms of design. We ask all those in the East stand to help us in pulling this off, as we need 100% participation in order for it to work. We'd greatly appreciate if you could pass this along to anyone you know who is going to match. Lets hope that we can out-do them both in colour and noise!
  6. Just a big thanks to Del who sent me out his bucket hat, arrived the other day and it looks quality! Cheers mate
  7. Cheers to everyone who has downloaded the song so far, seem to be getting quite a bit of good feedback on that front! With regards to the night on Thursday, it looks like its going to be a busy one so please get down early to avoid disapointment...
  8. You can buy it via: http://thebanterthiefs.bandcamp.com/ at the moment but should hopefully be on iTunes in the near future!
  9. http://thebanterthiefs.bandcamp.com/ Posted in the other thread obviously but thought I'd throw it in here also.

The Banter Thiefs Cup Final song available to hear and download here.... http://thebanterthiefs.bandcamp.com/ No doubt it won't be everyones cup of tea but 99p for 2 tracks with a percentage of sales going to Youth Development. The words are simple and cheesy: Twenty years on from ninety-one, were going to have fun in the Hampden sun, Stephen Craigan and the boys, get behind them make some noise. Randolph then Hutchy at the back, Lasley and Jennings and then the attack, Humphrey and Murphy on the wing, big John Sutton he's our king. Flags and banners in the stands, time for new heroes it's in your hands, Stuart McCall he's the man, come on Motherwell – YES WE CAN! Cause we are Motherwell, o-way, o-way, o-way, Cause we are Motherwell, o-way, o-way, o-way Cause we are Motherwell, o-way, o-way, o-way Twenty-first of May is our day.
  11. Alright guys, Just thought I would let you all know that local band The Banter Thiefs have recorded a song for the Scottish Cup Final called 20 Years On and the song will be getting it's first play tonight at the home game against Kilmarnock. The song started out as just a bit of fun with the band as they are all 'Well fans and hopefully it will give other Well fans something to sing in the build up to the final on the 21st May. The lyrics are simply, cheesy and the riff is Status Quo-esque so lets all take it in good spirits. Download here: http://thebanterthiefs.bandcamp.com/ and through the official website soon with a percentage of sales being donated to Youth Development.... For more about the band you can add them on Facebook: http://www.facebook....thebanterthiefs , Myspace: http://www.facebook....thebanterthiefs and follow them on Twitter: http://twitter.com/#...thebanterthiefs There will also be a sort of Launch Night / Cup Final warm up party in the Cooper Suite on Thursday 19th May with the band playing the cup final song, Melting Pot DJ's spinning the decks and famous Motherwell goals on the big screens. Entry will be £3 and there will also be raffles to win Motherwell related prizes.
  12. Cheers Del, much appreciated I will keep this thread open incase del can't find his and anyone else has one as?
  13. Probably a long shot here but thought I'd give it a try. I have seen a few people wearing the old Motherwell bucket hats this season which I am sure are from the 91 season. Does anyone have one of these which they do not wear or wouldn't mind selling? Absolute crackers and I'm desperate to get one for the final! Cheers in advance.
  14. Sadly I'm working tomorrow night but looking like a couple of the lads will be in attendance taking collections. FAO joewarkfanclub, my only explanation is it may be the wrong email as we have not had problems as of yet? I will look further into this and see if I can identify any problems. Again guys, thanks very much for the donations!

    Cup Final Tickets

If anyone gets two £28 tickets in the ballot could you please take them and I will take them off your hands. Got a mate who needs 2.
  16. Bump! For those getting tickets from the ticket office this week, please donate to the bucket! And for those going to the Killie home game, we shall be collecting there also!
  17. Thanks again for the kind donations! Keep them coming troops!
  18. Quick off the mark DelBoy! Waiting on it being confirmed by a moderator, as this is the norm for all topics in the protected section.
  19. Firstly we'd like to thank everyone so far for their general support and donations for our Cup Final plans. The buckets will remain for the duration of the sales period as well as buckets at the final Home game of the season against Killie on Wednesday. Our aim is to make the end to the season as atmospheric and memorable as possible and continue this drive into next season. This leads onto the second point, today we've established another thread in the password protected part of this forum. The reason for this is we are going to discuss our plans in more detail and would welcome input from as many Motherwell fans as possible to achieve our aims. We also have an interest in keeping our intentions under wraps from the opposition for obvious reasons. Sorry to those without the qualifying post count or length of membership that you can't be involved to the same degree, but we're sure you'll appreciate the threshold set by the website. This thread will remain open and we will still be taking PayPal donations through josh-171@hotmail.com Dee
  20. Hold the boat.... watch this space
  21. Your quite right Stu with regards to waiting until the funds are raised before ordering any materials. That said, were just delighted people are happy to donate and lets hope there's a further push this week.

    Cup Final Tickets

Is this where it starts? Sit doon, get yer flag out the way, stop singing Not too sure if the whole West is a 'singing section' but lets hope it is. Need as many 'Well fans in Claret and Amber on their feet cheering the team on to victory!
  23. Got a text from one of the guys earlier saying so far we have raised £409.64, however I am not sure if that is including the PayPal dontions which when I asked last was at around £90. There is also a bucket in Fir Park ticket office for people to make donations when buying tickets and I am sure arrangements are in place for a bucket to be put in the prescint but I am not sure if this has happened yet. Big thanks to everyone who has donated so far
  24. Since I know a few of my mates got paid today I thought I better give this a bump...
