Good work Eight16, that's us getting the price down already! To StuWell, I completely agree with you Claret on both sides and Amber on both sides, keep it simple!
-
Cheers Eight16 and PM sent to Kylie.

A3 card ideally Kylie! I spoke to Ink Spot earlier just to get a rough idea of what the high street value of this kind of stuff is and they are selling 30 sheets for around £3. Now I could be wrong but if this is going for 10p a sheet in a shop I would like to think we could get it a great deal cheaper, especially in the quantities we will be buying.
-
Welshman, I actually speak to one of the lads who used to run the Red Ultras / Red Army and in terms of the card displays they used to get it very cheap as they knew a lad who ran a papermill. If you look at the attendance for that Rangers game aswell you will see that the stadium in full hence why everyone is holding the card. Regarding the Green Brigade, they run fundraisers throughout the year and have a PayPal account set up which takes donations all through the year. The main difference between us and them is, they have much larger fan bases and in turn can take in much larger sums of money. Also, they benefit from buying in bulk, if you look at the till roll video from the OF Derby, every single person in that ground has a till roll, maybe people with more than one, meaning the overall price is cheaper. Relating this to our card display, I am currently gathering prices at the moment and a card display will be significantly cheaper than a till roll display simply because it is easier to source Claret and Amber card. We considered a card display for the Semi but without full capacity sections we felt it wouldnt have been as effective.

Good man SG, I will keep you posted with our plans nearer the next home game. For the time being lets get some donations in via PayPal please
-
Probably looking at A3 size, no personal preference to gloss or matt. Would probably just be double sided colour with a small message on it saying something along the lines of "hold up when the teams are coming on to the pitch", do you have a supplier in mind?
-
Alright folks, I'm going to be looking at all possible suppliers to help with the display for the Cup Final. Obviously we won't know exactly how many pieces of card we will need till we see the seating and allocation plans from the SFA however I thought I would open this up to fellow 'Well fans who may know someone who works for a printing or stationary company? Obviously it would be great to get a fan who could do this for trade price or mates rates, so does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers

Won't know exact details until we know the allocation and seating plans from Hampden!

Been liasing with the Advisory committee and the club regarding the matter, I'm going to go down to the Civic this week and enquire about the lisence. For the time being, those with a PayPal account, please get donating. Card display it will be by the looks of things, we have the 40 1.5 metre squared flags which didnt arrive in time for the Semi, which will be getting saved for the final also. Shaping up to be a great day in terms of colour, lets hope we can match it with noise!!

The PayPal for donations this time round will be josh-171@hotmail.co.uk , not sure if a Mod could maybe put this in the line below the title? The sooner we get donations in the more we will raise and the sooner we will be able to order materials, so please get involved and lets see a sea of Claret and Amber!!
-
Looks like a card display is the best option and I think it would be feasible. Regarding your post SG, if you read one of my earlier posts in this thread you will see that it is extremely unlikely that WB86 will return as it is working well just now, everyone seems happy and all the fans, as well as the club, seem supportive of the current set up! That said the more people that want to help involved with these displays, the making of flags / banners and generally bringing back the atmosphere to Fir Park should get involved.
-
May I also suggest that this is un-pinned so that more people notice it?

Alright guys, First time I've been on since the Semi so big thanks to everyone who made the till roll display possible. Most folk seemed happy to get involved which is always a good thing. By skimming through this thread, it looks like a few people are enquiring about a final display and quite rightly so. Anything which can give us a wee edge, make Hampden claret and amber and potentially spur the team on to victory is a MUST in my opinion. In terms of plans for the final a few of the guys are going to try and get together this week and discuss possibilities. I notice a few have suggested card displays which I reckon could be a good idea however lets remember these take a bit of coordination so it wouldnt be anything too complex. Other ideas like Neil's for long strips of material are also possible. Keep the suggestions coming folks and they will all be taken on board. In terms of collecting for the display I will be going down to the Civic at one point this week to enquire about a lisence so we can collect at Home games and I will get the paypal account which we will be taking donations through on here later tonight! All the till rolls arrived today and will be dished out tomorrow inside the stadium. Delighted to let you know that the authorities at Hampden are supportive of this and I would like to thank the MFC Advisory Comittee and Alan Marshall for their help because without this who knows exactly where we would stand. I know a lot of people on this forum, maybe even myself included were maybe sceptical about the Advisory Comittee but in this instance they have been nothing but helpful and kudos to Stephen for playing a large role in this project. Just so you know, the till rolls have a wee sticky bit on them so if you peel this off before you throw them it will help create the streamer approach. Look forward to seeing the display and hopefully a 'Well victory!!!

Not looking good with regards to the 1.5 metre squared flags as they have not arrived from Poland yet and the UPS tracker still does not have them in the UK. They may arrive before Saturday but as the hours go by the less confident I become. Till rolls will of course still be good to go, as well as the message banners and the other wavey flags which we have been making. Sure the display will still look great but urging everyone to bring out as many flags as they can! Lets get a sea of Claret and Amber and try to get Hampden bouncing on Saturday!
-
Not taking anymore donations via Bop's paypal. For future we may set up a specific paypal for displays. Any donations at the Semi-Final will also be put to displays either for the final or for the last away game of the season! In reply to will these be allowed in or sneaked in, we are in the process of contacting the necessary point of contact at Hampden.

Alright guys, been a stressful couple of days with being refused to collect outside the game on Wednesday and with the game becoming closer and closer each day. So here's what we have ordered: 500 Amber till rolls (got the order i yesterday which was the last day and had to pay the price for overnight delivery etc. meaning they will be arriving on the 15th, cutting it fine) 80 white till rolls (arrived already as they do not need to be dyed) 50, 000 bits of confetti in claret and amber (works out a kilo of each colour) 40 custom made flags in 4 different designs, 1.5 metre squared (these should arrive on the 11th as they are coming from Poland) And the rest has went on lots of claret, amber and white material for message banners as well as black, claret and amber paint. So the plan is to have the 40 1.5 metre squared flags going spread out through the section with the till rolls being thrown as the teams come out the tunnel, likewise with the confetti. The message banners being held up also! IMO i think this will look absolutely quality!
-
Sounds a good idea Fudge, the only problem is the till rolls only work out at that price if you buy in such large numbers, which we have sadly found out. We recieved a statement from the club which stated: "Regarding collections, there is a rule from North Lanarkshire Council that all collections need a licence and the clubs permission, they can consider this email as an endorsement from the club for future activities, however they will need to consider the local authority in the future. I'm happy to supply a letter on headed paper confirming the club support if required" So for this reason, we did not have the collection buckets tonight, which has proved a problem. We are a bit short on what we had planned but we are going to go with a much lesser number of till rolls which I will put the difference to and hopefully over time we shall make it back. Like I stated earlier, the confirmed plans for this Semi-Final display will be posted tomorrow once the final orders have been placed.
-
Looks like the display is going to be a good one! All the plans will be finalised tonight and posted up tomorrow around lunch time. The suppliers of the till rolls have gave us an extra day so we can collect more funds tonight at the game. There should be buckets outside both the Cooper and the East Stand up until Kick Off and for those who don't see these guys or are running late then there will be buckets up the back of the far end of the East Stand at Half Time. Need one big push so we can get as many rolls as possible, we have also invested in some other materials for the Semi which will be announced tomorrow. Cheers.

Well in with Church OF Fudge getting the ball rolling, lets give this a big push!
