  1. Gannon is now 4 games in to his career at the 'well and has dropped Hammell after the 3rd. Being honest, i don't think we'd miss Hammell that much if he left as Reynolds showed he is more than capable of filling the gap. Hutchinson had a great game tonight at centre half and i hope Craigan can use his knowledge and experience to develop the guy more. Is this the end for Stevie????
  2. Well well well, what can you say? Was that not just amazing? Start off with the negatives, although there is very few. Still not convinced by Fraser, every game he's played he's dropped a ball. Name Stevie Woods springs to mind. O'Brien is not a right back, should never be played there again. Although it was worth a shot eh? Why not experiment. Last but not least......Slane's celebration. Something the boy really needs to work on. Positives, well 8 goals in one game, magic. The young boys in Slane, Hutchinson and Forbes were all brilliant. Slane's goal, Forbes second all brilliant. Sutton proved me wrong tonight again as his link up play with Murphy was brilliant. Jennings came onto a game after looking rusty in the first 10 whereas Humphrey was the opposite. Hutchinson was brilliant. If he played a ball from defence it would've found a Motherwell man, unlike with Craggs it's just hit and hope. Reynolds got forward on the left hand side very well. If he could work on his crossing then this could work for him. Forbes has probably one of the sweetest left foots we've had at this club since i started watching the 'well. If pass or cross is just so pin pointed. Slane, another Faddy? If he keeps his head down and works and hopefully doesn't get over confident then we have a real star at the club. Get him tied down on a 5 year deal immediately. Last but not least, that was just great. Ratings for this evening.... Fraser - 5 O'Brien - 5 Craigan - 6 Hutchinson - 8 Reynolds - 7 Humphrey - 6 Jennings - 7 Forbes - 9 Slane - 10 Sutton - 8 Murphy - 9
  3. Hughes was a good player but like you said, his return on the field for what he was on a week just wasn't good enough. When we played the tidy, neat football we did in McGhee's first season it actually made him look better than he was. Last year i'd say he was found out really. For the players we have let go i'd say Clarkson is the only one i would've really kept.
  4. Not been to a reserve game in quite a while. Think one of the last one's i was at was when they were played at FP on a Monday night. Bathgate and Shotts are quite difficult places to get to, especially on a Tuesday afternoon due to work commitments.
  5. Not once did i say Hammell was shite. Like Faddyisgod has said he's no where near one of the best left backs in Scotland. Since he came back to Southend he's not lived up to the potential he had from his first spell at the club. I like Hammell, he is a good left back but Paterson was much better when he was at the club. Aye it's a shite opinion on Sutton, that's what you think. It's my opinion and i'm sure others share my opinion's on the guy. Couldn't care if its a shite opinion or not, it's my opinion. If i'm an old firm fan then how come i've spent alot money for what, 12 years of my life, on the club? I'd be going to Smackheed or Castle Greyskull every couple of weeks and not the fortress that is Fir Park. I said last week down in Wales to several people, i thought Sutton played well but my opinion of him was hardly going to change after one good game against a semi proffessional side.
  6. You shut the fuck up ya bawbag. It's an opinion, get over it..... I said last week at the game that Sutton did play well, even gave him my man of the match but really what did he do?! Score 2 goals that got us through against a pub team?! Half of the lot that play for FPC or WTFC should be able to do that. Yesterday he was really naive in taking the same penalty again, which if he didn't we would've came back with the away goal and with the other lot not scoring any. Also, he may be a 'striker' but no one should ever lose their marker like that. The guy just stopped! As for Hammell, once again another player who played well against a pub team. Yes it was in a horrible heat in yesterday's game but really he should've put in a better performance than that. So, if it was a choice between Hammell or Paterson for the left back slot i know who i'd take every minute of the day.....and his names no Stevie.
  7. Both of us Sutton's penalty's were terrible as he was lucky for the keeper to go the wrong way for his first one. Sutton at fault for the goal, lost his man and pretty much sleeping. Guy's an absolute donkey. Obviously it would've been really hard for the players to compete in such a climate but i thought we done well. Slane was good again, maybe didn't track back enough but he can only work on this. Referee was a disgrace and actually made the likes of McDonald, Brines etc look decent!
  8. 2 signings, a winger and a centre mid. Chuffed already but now all we need is a centre half, a right back, another centre mid and 2 strikers...oh and maybe a goalie. Although we may not know much about any of the new players, from what we've heard it does sound promising. Like many have said, exciting times ahead.
  9. Back around half 9 after leaving Llanelli at half 1 today! Whole day was absolutely brilliant. Drink consumed reached dangerous levels. A wee mention to the Met bar and Tam Peppers. Hopefully everyone enjoyed ma Neil Diamond Kareoke. Locals were brilliant and no trouble what-so-ever. Now i'm off to bed, the hangovers still here
  10. March was amazing. Recall being at the front at one point?! Anyone who knows me want to clarify this? Nae too sure.....
  11. Canny believe this....I'm voting for Sutton!
  12. Picked up at 630 tomorrow morning at the station to take us in to the airport. Flight from toon down to Bristol then train from there What are the Welsh like with Scottish notes? Are they c***s like the english?!
  13. Also McGhee's mind games last year during the whole Nancy period would have fucked up his head. "Am i playing or no?!"
  14. The guy's a cock! Never a footballer......plus his brother's a bit of an arsehole aswell eh?! Looks as if Joeboy is his biggest fan aswell?
  15. In my time..... Best 1. Graeme Smith 2. Martyn Corrigan 3. Jim Paterson 4. Simo Valakari 5. Shaun Teale 6. Brian Martin 7. David Clarkson 8. Phil O'Donnell 9. Tommy Coyne 10. Dougie Arnott 11. James McFadden Worst 1. Stevie Woods 2. Ange Ouefio 3. I'll come back to this one. 4. John Davies 5. Daniel Sengewald 6. Tony Vaughan 7. Derek Townsley 8. Bob Malcolm 9. John Sutton 10. Khaled Kemas 11. Andy Roddie
  16. Fraser Saunders Craggs Reynolds Hammell Forbes Lasley Fitzy Slane Murphy O'Brien subbies : mchugh, polish keeper, hutchinson, page, mcgarry, smith & a.n other
  17. Sutton and striker in the same sentance shocker Anyway, Murphy hasn't really shown to us a great amount but i'm sure if he beefed up a bit he could be a class act. He wouldn't get shoved off the ball as easy and it would make it easier for him to dribble past defenders. Also, that chance in the first 5 minutes up in bandit country should've been finished off to head start what would've been a comfortable lead.
  18. You aff yer tits?!?! If Faddy had to move to one of the gruesome twosome he'd lose it all by playing shite opposition and in a shite standard of league. Him staying at Birmingham could be good for his career especially now they're back in the Premiership.
  19. Had it on a day and have noticed the night that there is a couple of catches on it already. Quality of the material is pish! Countdown to Canterbury my arse, quite disappointed now.
  20. Embarressing to say the least, especially when it was the 'home' tie. McGarry, Lasley, Reynolds, Murphy and especially Sutton were all pish! O'Brien was nae bad, but then again everyone could have performed better. Folk have said previously, it's all down to one man and thats the selfish sheep shagging bastard up in Aberdeen at the moment. If anyone can call Sutton a striker then, a really begin to wonder........guy is fucking murder.
  21. well said that man, nae loyalty what-so-ever.
  22. Would take him. He had a good season at Killie last year and could be Stephen Hughes's replacement, albeit much cheaper wages etc Would do me fine.
  23. It probably would've been retired if Clarkson was not in the squad.
  24. Now that Clarkson's pretty much offski, does anyone else think it would be a good idea to retire the shirt? Would be a great honour to Phil that no-one else wears it because tbh, no one else would really deserve it.
