  1. Absolutely. In-form players who are on the radar of bigger clubs know exactly how the game works. If they're entering the final year of their contract and won't sign an extension, we have 2 opportunities remaining to make money from them. Now would normally be preferable to January, but we've Europe to consider this year. We'll see what transpires if and when offers come in. I'm certainly not greetin about our situation or fighting reality. Life goes on, irrespective. We've just had an unforgettable season that's re-energised the entire club. Now we continue down the bumpy road, even if it's with a new driver.
  2. I'm not expecting a mass exodus, but if we lost Slattery, Just and Watt in the same window, that would be hard to take. I assume that's not the plan, but you could see how close they were to JBA and each other in that dressing room video.
  3. I'm sure you know what I meant. We've all seen it often enough.
  4. I'm sure they knew. Jens staying for another season was always likely to be our best chance of holding onto a few of our most saleable assets this summer, and when footballers get to thinking they'd like to take up attractive offers, contracts won't stop them.
  5. That'll be Welsh sorted for an escape to the sun. Question is, how many of our guys decide it was good while it lasted, and follow Jens out the door?
  6. Sounded like he was staying, then going, then staying.... His body language at the final whistle suggested it was goodbye.
  7. Tweet been posted by a Belgian 'transfer specialist' (207K followers) saying a deal's been agreed between the clubs, JBA finalising details with Toulouse. Edit: just saw this was posted on Ins & Outs.
  8. If we remember Davie Hay or Terry Butcher taking over, it's a different story. Rogers comes across well, but who really knows if he would keep us moving forward, or if he's even interested.
  9. Nothing unexpected so far, other than Liam Gordon in discussions, possibly. Happy to see Olly Whyte has agreed an extension.
  10. The one that sells tinted glasses?
  11. Great news. Was a wee bit worried they might get homesick with their new arrival.
  12. Nice touch, releasing the squad list on the back of a Scotdisc album.
  13. If we want the Dunfermline player, Oxborough mibbe part of a deal?
  14. If anyone still fancies a laugh/seethe about Wednesday night, check out the 'accidental' handball decision for Man United's second goal today, complete with a referee overruling VAR.
  15. Nicholson's signed for Livi.
  16. Sometimes, the stars align, and my gut feeling is, he'll stay. As you say, I think that's the key to convincing a few others to give it another shot.
  17. An amazing day to end an amazing season that, whatever happens now, we'll never forget. Thanks to all the players and staff for taking us on the ride.
  18. How can a decision taken on a clear and obvious error be subjective?
  19. Dunfermline keeper sells the Thistle equaliser.
  20. Absolutely agree with everything you said. And it looks like everyone's going: 2 seats remaining. Edit: Sold out now.
  21. Leaving the corruption angle aside, maybe someone will eventually get round to asking Willy Collum why John Beaton continues to be given so many high profile games, despite repeatedly demonstrating he can't actually referee a football match without VAR being there to 'correct' his mistakes. In our games alone: Pittodrie: missed 2 red cards. Parkhead: missed a penalty and red card. Tonight: missed a penalty. That's assuming VAR got all those decisions correct, of course. If they didn't, that means Beaton is incapable of standing by his own calls and can't tell right from wrong. Either way, he's worse than useless.
  22. Sparrow or Koutroumbis at centre half?
  23. Had a bad feeling about tonight, but the drink's helping. One way or another, I think 4th will be ours by 10(ish).
  24. Is this the first time we're looking at a final day shoot-out between 2 teams going for the title since Rangers v Aberdeen in 1991?
