There have been failures in Kettlewell's time - Shaw, Wilkinson & Obika - but Van Veen, Biereth & Bair all scored more goals than their previous stats would suggest likely. I see very little criticism of Vale from their fans when it was announced he was leaving. The negative comments were more along the lines of 'why did we sign him but hardly play him?' Either way, doesn't matter. Different club, players and management now. Be nice if the fans gave him some encouragement, which I'm sure most will.

Bair's scoring more goals that anyone at our relegation rivals - he's no good. We sign someone who doesn't have a great goalscoring record - he's no good. Our current form is better than the teams below us, funnily enough, but if we did end up in a play-off, who would we face?
