  1. Stop me if you've heard this one before.... https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/motherwell-captain-liam-kelly-everyone-29197077
  2. We could surely have signed better players in the summer, probably for the same money, but how much better I don't know. The league's full of players who wouldn't have got a game 10 years ago and I doubt it's bottomed out yet. Now we're about to bin our 3rd manager in 2 seasons, so there's more money that could be spent on players that will be needed in January gone. I really hoped he could at least limp through till the end of the season, but tonight must've put paid to that.
  3. Pointing out that Ross County are buoyant under a new manager in that post match interview might not be the wisest move.
  4. Could you no drop him off in the car park? We can't afford the repair bill.
  5. First up, just to be clear - at no point have I suggested you shouldn't be able to express a view on here. Where did you get that from? What you see as being defeatist and challenging, I see as being realistic. No, the board won't resign in the morning. Will any CEO they appoint recommend they go? And if they did bugger off, who replaces them? Others have said it often enough - if Motherwell want a better standard of player being managed by an experienced boss who is currently doing well elsewhere, it's gonnae cost money. I don't know the details of our current financial position, but I'm betting there's no that much hidden under the bed, so outside investment will be needed if the club is to go down a different path. Would it be negative to suggest that looks unlikely?
  6. And there's your problem. If you want rid of the board because you believe they're incompetent when it comes to appointing managers, why would you trust them with appointing someone to oversee a plan for the next 5 or 10 years?
  7. It might need it, but how will that happen?
  8. The comment you've quoted was based on us drawing tonight, not getting skelped.
  9. It was quite brief, but not brief enough on the day.
  10. Lambert and McCall want the Motherwell job?
  11. If I find anyone who's actually happy about how we've been playing, I'll tell them to sit doon. Preferably on their hands.
  12. We're definitely improving Derek Adams' life at the moment.
  13. Kettlewell might be about to get sacked at Ross County for a second time.
  14. When it's against us, everybody looks good up front 😁
  15. McInnes said after the game where we came back to beat them 2-1 at the start of the season, I've told the players - if you can't find a way to win a game, make sure you don't lose it. I imagine that's a common attitude with managers of middle to bottom sides.
  16. County have scored 7 less than us with a game in hand. Only the gruesomes and Hibs are better off. If we could just shut the back door a wee bit.... Looks like Brophy's out for tonight.
  17. No, I don't know it. I agree we need to be winning games and not relying on other teams, but fans of those sides will be saying the exact same thing. If a point tonight is a useless result for us, how will Ross County feel about it? And how can a team on such a horrendous run still be in 8th place, even allowing for the odd game in hand (Aberdeen apart)? There is nothing inevitable about this league other than average to poor performances from average to poor teams, and since I can't see anyone around us going on a miraculous winning run, I suspect it might come down to the wire, at least for the play-off place. So, as disappointing as a draw would be tonight, I'd still class this as a must-not-lose game rather than a must-win.
  18. What's inevitable - Ross County, St Johnstone and Livingston winning games?
  19. McGinn being assessed for a return today.
  20. That's a whole different story. But if we want to remain a top team at the end of the season, those points might just be the difference.
