  1. Any word on whether he's investing £100,000 in us, like he did in Grimsby Town? Sorry, claimed he would.
  2. He wouldn't be my dream manager by any stretch. Doubt you'd find many, if any, on here who'd have him top of their list. But that list is the problem - how many realistic candidates are interested? Salary wise, mibbe we can find the money to pay someone decent, but if those guys look at the squad we have and find out we have a recruitment budget that matches it in shitness, which decent manager will take the job? If you were on the board, who would you go for right now?
  3. Ian Holloway shouldn't get a sniff at the job. https://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/news/grimsby-news/ian-holloway-inside-story-grimsby-4828611
  4. They get sacked that often it's hard to keep track 😁 I just hope Kettlewell gets a better reaction from the team than Lasley got when Robinson left....
  5. Kettlewell was co-manager with Steven Ferguson after McIntyre and Dodds were sacked in 2018.
  6. Technical assistant coach of the youth set-up. Does he clean the whiteboard or hand out bibs?
  7. I'd struggle to see why he'd come here now. Which just highlights the change in both clubs' fortunes.
  8. Holloway signed Bilel Mohsni and said he would be his Virgil van Dijk. No ta.
  9. Agreed, but he's in charge for Wednesday now.
  10. I'd love to hear if anyone still has any belief in Hammell turning this around - and if so, why.
  11. Just to rub it in, Jordan White scores. 1-1.
  12. We're desperate for a win, he'll be desperate not to lose.
  13. Sean Dyche showing the difference a decent manager can make.
  14. Alexander was at the Queens Park game last night. He must've dropped it off.
  15. That team get's the benefit of the doubt until we see what happens, for the simple reason we haven't seen anything like it before. But as someone said elsewhere, the word that springs to mind is 'random'.
  16. Hammell's job and his call, but that'll be an unforgiving line up if it goes wrong.
  17. Fair point, but it's not every game you're playing against another team devoid of confidence with a large home support just looking for an excuse to get on their backs. And let's face it, going behind to us right now is the perfect excuse.
  18. Given our form and their form, if ever there was a game to score first, this is it.
  19. Sounds like the last chance saloon. If - after hitting the bottom and putting in our worst display of the season as a reaction - we were to lose to an absolute shambles who just performed their manager out the door, any further delay would be ludicrous. This is it - win, or at worst draw with a battling performance, or it has to be over.
