We look like Brazil. Against Germany.
-
So Alexander can bring him on late and blame him. Oh, that was the other guy.
-
I defy anyone to explain why we brought any of those players here in January or why Alexander is persisting with these tactics. Add in a ward full of injuries/illness and the fucking hopelessness of the players who were already here and relegation looks entirely probable.
-
Happy hour? Fuck off.
-
Did Alexander get booked again there?
-
I don't care who's available and who's not, these tactics are utterly clueless. Again. And again.
-
Another tanking on the way.
-
Probably not. Nobody checks the players before they arrive here.
-
Jordan Roberts getting a glowing reference from the Hearts guy on View from the Terrace: 'The most negative winger in world football' Why did Motherwell take him on loan? 'I've no idea, it's baffling'. No just us then.
-
Remember when loans were generally young guys in need of experience at a lower level and clubs were loathe to let them go anywhere they wouldn't get game time. We now appear to be bringing in players who are not only surplus to requirements at their parent clubs, but here as well.
-
Imagine championship level.

It's a wonder we didnae sign Stanley Matthews on the basis 'class is permanent'.
-
I wonder if he meant formation rather than personnel.

Yeah, I get that Scotland caps won't feed a family, but playing (hopefully well) at an international tournament isn't a bad way to sell yourself to a bigger club. Even at 20 you might never get the chance again. Gallagher might no have been at his best this season, but if more of our signings worked out like he has, we'd be doing OK. Still comes back to the contract details being made public. That doesn't happen, we wouldn't be having this particular conversation.
-
To be clear, I don't doubt Gallagher's injured. Here's what I'm speculating about: someone shared his confidential contract details with the press, and it wisnae a window cleaning dog's neighbour. Everybody knows they're no shy about printing fairy stories, but this wee snippet has led to prolonged speculation about Gallagher's professionalism, which has now amplified because he's picked up an injury at precisely the point most folk assumed the supposed contract extension was about to be triggered. Bad timing for us, unfortunate timing for him. You said it yourself, any player behaving in such a manner would be delivering a huge fuck you to their club, and even a whiff of a possibility could seriously affect their future employment prospects. So, under the circumstances, if the contract story wasn't true, I wouldn't be sitting with my mouth shut. Though I'm shutting it about this from now on. It's not really much of a conspiracy theory (which I cannae be arsed with anyway), mibbe a cautionary tale about people imagining they can use the press. As I said in a later comment, injury permitting, I'm sure he'll be back in the team asap, hopefully make the Euros squad and off to bigger money in the summer, which will suit him and us, as long as we stay up. And I expect him to give 100%, same as the rest, whatever they think of the fans.
-
I'll go with Gallagher being back in the team soonish and the trigger disappearing. Needs must: He needs to play before the Euros. We know he's off and need him in the team now more than we need the transfer fee next season.
-
I've no idea what is or isn't up with him. I hope he's back sooner rather than later. But I would ask, did the media invent the story about an extension trigger, and if so, why? Honestly, who gives a flying feck about that other than Motherwell fans? And since when did we sell papers? Also, why has no one just said it's bollocks? So it's really a question of who told them? You widnae need Columbo to work that out. Given that info's out there, the timing of Gallagher's injury starts to look suspicious. Probably also bollocks, but if certain people had kept their traps shut in the first place, nobody would be discussing it now.
-
I don't know what's going on with Gallagher , but talking about scans... Gareth Bale didn't feature in Spurs squad the other night. He, or someone representing him, posted on Twitter about having a good training session that day, so the media started asking questions. Mourinho said Bale had been for a scan, which came back clear. Despite that, and the advice of physios etc, Mourinho said he can't play a guy who feels/says he's injured. If Burrows doesn't want to talk about the trigger and the papers didn't just invent it, where do we imagine it came from? And why would it be disclosed for absolutely no reason?

No better than what's already there. Got skinned for the 4th goal. Was he no meant to be the speed merchant, cos he turned like the Titanic. Mibbe we were still deliberately allowing the cross to come in though. Can anyone honestly look at those signings and offer a reasonable explanation? This season, of all seasons, if you're no getting a game for the first team you're not playing, period. So these guys were not match fit, obviously prone to picking up injuries, niggling or otherwise, and therefore unavailable for selection. That's leaving aside what ability they have/had/ever will have. Lawless might not have pleased everyone, though you could see the point, but the rest?
-
He's also gonnae have to re-evaluate his tactics, which I assume he was alluding to in the post match interview on telly. If he was previously unaware, today he found out what most of us have known all season - that defence can't be put under pressure for too long before the cracks start showing. O'Donnell's out next week, Mugabi must be doubtful, Gallagher unlikely. Magloire aside, who else comes in? Midfield wise, the question being asked is who comes in for who, but I don't see how we can continue with just the 3 guys. Every manager in the league must already have worked out how easily they can get at us if we stick to that system. The front guys are working hard and are undoubtedly the best area of the team, but we still don't look like we're going to give anyone a hammering. And god help us if Tony Watt succumbs to the kickings he gets every week. We should manage to scrape to safety eventually, but today showed a lot of that team will never do in the long term. Alexander's got a huge task keeping us up now, then another one rebuilding in the summer. I hope to christ he had hee haw to do with the January signings.
-
Hiya, Mrs O'Donnell.
-
Jesus, imagine having that lot as your options.
-
Where would we be without each other? We're the main source of points that keep them up and they're a buffer that ensures we don't get relegated.
-
I'd bite your hand off for that. The worry is, we won our 4 games under Robinson pretty much on the bounce, then done nothing for how long? Hopefully Alexander makes the difference now, but watching that today brings home how easily that same group of players could go on a run of shit form again, which might well be fatal at this stage. They've got the chance next week to prove that won't happen. Disnae excuse today though.
-
January's just increased the number of players who are either no better than what we had or unavailable for selection, so we're relying on a team who've just reminded us how we got here in the first place. And reliable is not an adjective you'd use to describe this lot. (Here) we go again.
