  1. He can go where he likes, when he likes. He can also use his achievements here to get him that job. However, he feels the need to lay the blame for this season at every door bar his own, in print, on YouTube and now on radio. Saying 'the buck stops with me' is commendable if you're actually gonnae accept some responsibility for what's gone wrong, but he's not for doing that. Fair enough, his concern here is - and was - Stephen Robinson. Mine is Motherwell.
  2. 5 points from 12 vs 3 from 24, leaving aside the Hamilton debacle. Managing to equalise and showing some fight. I'd say those were the biggest changes. Robinson's free to say what he likes about his time at the club, but if he was really interested in what's best for Motherwell he could hang fire till the summer. But then, sounds like he's looking for a job now.
  3. Hartley claimed at the time he wanted to stay, but the club withdrew his contract offer for financial reasons. He didn't sign for the Indian club till September, so it doesn't look likely that was why he left. Robinson implied he had nothing to do with either of them going.
  4. In his interview tonight he said he had to bring on a young guy late in the game and that basically cost us the win. Easy enough to work out who he meant. Yeah, I recall him blaming the more experienced guys at the time. Too much of that for me: I'm not blaming anyone, but - and, the buck stops with me, but I didn't do anything wrong. He's walked away saying there are guys in that dressing room who don't want to be there. He won't name names, obviously, so that leaves just about every player under suspicion. As for his mumping about the strain dealing with covid put on him, now he's nice and refreshed and relaxed, mibbe he could do a few shifts in a hospital and take that clown Lennon with him. I thought his time was up but I had a lot of respect for him. That's diminishing every time he opens his mouth.
  5. Aw ffs, it's getting like an episode of Sorry. Language, Liam!
  6. Or Krivokapić. Can't recall that far back, but I doubt many of us were too hopeful when he arrived. In a general sense, sometimes you get a Billy Davies, more often you get a John Davies.
  7. There's an Andy Lynch showreel, but they're not on it. No sense of humour some folk.
  8. No much you can do if the families decide to get involved. Imagine they wandered in here...
  9. Like saying you don't throw players under the bus then blaming a young sub for the draw at Tannadice? Watch yerself Dean Cornelius, here comes the 240.
  10. Robinson claiming he couldn't keep Tait or Hartley because we couldn't compete financially. Did I miss something?
  11. Alexander said it himself, the difference in the second half was mental as much as anything. He got them in and got a reaction. Whatever you think of Robinson, it was obvious he wasn't managing to get in the players' heads successfully anymore. Or his own, going by his demeanour at the end.
  12. Difference with Kelly was you could see he was angry with himself and determined not to let it affect his performance in the remainder of the game. Chapman looked like a lost soul who'd wandered onto a football pitch. It was an awful goal, looked like the culmination of how poor we've been over a long period, and in such a big game. Huge credit to the manager and players for turning it round.
  13. I know someone who doesn't get to see the games, and when there was talk about players not trying or having an attitude problem, Watt was the first name he came up with. A real shame that kinda stuff hangs around, he's been by far our most consistent performer and a great example of what the fans are looking for.
  14. Looking a lot brighter after tonight but we need to consolidate next Wednesday. Celtic after that, while County have Hamilton then Utd. Don't want to end up back to square one in a couple of weeks. Livi's win keeps the top 6 a realistic possibility, though the way they've racked up the points, it looks like 6th is as good as it'll get.
  15. He really needs some time out, but he's not gonnae get it.
  16. 3-0 St Mirren at half time. Foley not amongst the scorers.
  17. Fair enough. Not a joke to some, apologies.
  18. I've removed my comment. It was a shit attempt at a joke. I'm a dick and I apologise to anyone who was offended/upset by it.
  19. Never mind who's coming in. Our 'best' players need dropped.
