I'm sorry to see Bevis leave but I agree that consistency was never his strong point. On his day he's a brick wall but when off it could be partial to the odd error or two. That said, the back line being shuffled and changed week in week out last season can't have helped any of our defenders. The defence as much as any other department on the park requires a level of consistency in terms of selection. Allowing the players (the centre halves in particular) to forge a partnership and understanding. Much like we saw with Hartley and Aldred, Casey and Butcher before Butchers injury. We need to see a more settled back line next season if anything.

Nicholson signs on for two years. Happy with that as long as he's a squad player, non starter, off the bench in the last 10 only, etc etc etc.... 😁
-
I sincerely hope any talk of us signing Joe Lewis is quashed sooner rather than later. That guy is the worst goalkeeper I've seen play against us in my lifetime. I don't remember seeing a goalkeeper make so many successive blunders against us as he has.
-
I'm all in favour of that, in fact that is most definitely the way forward. Got to remember though that this is a fans forum and most fans are unlikely to have any idea of what's available beyond former stars and players of the same league. I've every confidence the club will think outside the box and unearth a few gems.

I don't think there's any doubting Turnbull's ability. I believe it's more to do with his laid back style of play and lethargic body language at times. It was clear from the beginning that he was never going to fit into a Postecoglu side with the mantra of "we never stop". I just don't think he displays the energy required to play at the top.

Right of a back 3 as he has been. He's the best defender at the club imo. We do need a new CB though and possibly 2 full backs should Gent not return.
-
For SOD certainly. I would expect McGinn to continue to be a first team starter next season. Reduced terms could potentially see us lose him to a rival. (For the record I don't know Paul McGinn or Stephen O'Donnell and am in no way associated with either player nor the club on a professional basis)

Sean Hutchy leaving Millwall. Granted he's now 33 and has had a bit of an injury hit season. Wonder if he'd be open to a return?
-
I'm neither satisfied nor dissatisfied if I'm honest. Based on goals scored we should be comfortably sitting in the top six pushing for the euro places. Instead we've finished 9th with what can only be described as a porous defence. I'm glad the seasons over as the last 6 months have been a real slog. Much improvement required next season.

Great result and excellent to score 5 away from home. I wasn't sure how we'd respond after the equaliser if I'm honest and we were under a bit of pressure at 2-1 but the third really knocked the stuffing out of County and we were home and dry. Pleased for those who made the trip, fantastic away day a win in the sun. COYW

The captaincy is a form curse. Give it to the Ox

Went for Wilkinson. He gets a hard time from the support but he does the jobs that nobody sees 😁
-
Went for wee Georgie. Positive going forward and had Boyle and Cadden in his pocket all afternoon. Kelly was also superb with multiple top class saves.
-
We got a massive break with the penalty but then we've had those decisions against us recently. One thing is clear though. That starting 11 today was never good enough. There was no spark, no invention and we resorted to hoofing the ball forward to Bair who couldn't hold anything up. We were much improved when O'Donnell and Miller came on. It tells me that the squad isn't strong enough. We lose a couple of players to injury and we can't play football.
-
I understand the frustration. That first hour was truly awful. I'm over the moon that we won in the end but we can't rely on coming from behind every week. We have to improve massively over ninety minutes next season.
-
If we don't win this I'm blaming the pitch
-
Maybe Moses will do a David Ferrer?
-
The pitch is poor but it's also the same for both teams. We're in a rut, low on confidence and lacking in identity and style of play. It's the same old slog week in week out and I can't wait for the season to end. Struggling to justify 400 quid to watch another 20 games of this.
-
Bairs reverted back to his previous form. Can't even do the basics expected of an amateur footballer. Truly awful
-
We've started playing a bit of football now we're a goal down.
-
Add neither should they be. Fan owned or not, divulging potentially sensitive information to the Society would be making details of the negotiations public knowledge basically. I'm more than happy to wait for the details then say yes or no. The one thing that worries me is do we have enough intelligent, level headed members to make an informed and correct choice for the good of the club when the time comes?

O'Donnell for me. Improved us no end when he replaced Devine on the right. Great assist and I thought we were weaker going forward when he went off.
-
Happy with a point in the end but that was a poor watch. Our passing was deplorable all game and at times it's hard to recognise our team as a professional outfit. Devine had a poor game in particular but that's likely to happen with the young lad still making his way in the game. We never looked like seriously troubling them at any time after the first 10 minutes up until our goal - which I never saw coming. Fair play to O'Donnell who made the correct decision at the correct time to get us back in the game. I felt we lost a lot of our attacking impetus when he went off. As I've said before, survival is the main objective this season and we just need to accumulate enough points to limp to the end. That said, this standard won't do next season. Big summer on its way.
