  1. Imrie just been awarded the manager of the month curse. Pretty confident we'll pump them on Friday now. Disclaimer: this post may not age well 😁
  2. Great team effort and very difficult to choose. I'm going to give it to Butcher. I was critical of him after his first half against Alloa but much improved since. Solid and kept it simple today. Very assured performance.
  3. It was. Left Kennedy in a crumpled heap and jogged away like a hitman. Amazing
  4. I was shocked when Kev took to the pitch today. He's put on some beef. Gna take him weeks to get up to speed.
  5. Yer 25 year, hot dinner then gave up hat and balloon are in the post.
  6. I don't believe we're overdue a relegation. Yes we've looked vulnerable at times but ultimately we've prevailed and often finished the season strongly. I've seen enough of the league this season to believe we'll stay up. That said, if we don't get some regular investment from somewhere our future in the top division could well be under threat.
  7. I'd rather we didn't break the bank for him. This is nothing but an example of an agent trying to create a bidding war. Let him go. I'd rather we spent a bit of the budget on keeping Spittal.
  8. Think I'll drop him a line. Needing a few fence posts after last week.
  9. He will forever be synonymous with the luminous yellow (Pony?) Kit. What a player. Wonder where he is now.
  10. He did sign cult hero Shivute. Give the guy some credit. 😆
  11. I'm in much the same position as yourself and I'm careful not to let negative results affect my life away from the football. It's very easy to become too invested to the point that a defeat can ruin your whole week. If it gets to that point it's time to take a step back and find something else to do on a Saturday.
  12. Agree McGinn was excellent again. Mr Dependable. Gent had another good game, just need a penalty box finisher with the instinct to get on the end of his cross balls.
  13. Supporting Motherwell will always be an up and down experience and often more downs than up. It's very easy to get into a "yes we're doing ok but we'll fail next week" attitude. There are individuals in this forum unfortunately stuck in this rut and can't wait to see the team/manager fuck up so they can air their grievance. Tragic in truth.
  14. 2 points dropped. Need to be far more clinical in front of goal. Pleased with the response after going a goal down so early and thought Nicholson looked a tidy player when he came on. Hopefully we see a forward with a bit of an instinct early next week.
  15. Filthy bastard that Phillips. Hasn't kicked anything other than our players all afternoon
  16. He kicked us off the park at FP earlier in the season. Leveins hatchet man.
  17. Paton got to hit the target there. Freedom of the Saints box.
  18. We're playing some neat stuff at a good tempo. Hopefully we can keep it up. Steven needs to give the match a chance, can't wait to blow his whistle the weed.
  19. I didn't in all honestly but their goal was 100% on Butcher. He was 3 yards off Sammon for what felt like an age as he strolled unchallenged into our box and scored.
  20. Gent was excellent today. Always an air of anticipation when he gets the burners on going forward. Just need a predatory forward to get on the end of his delivery to really get us off our seats. I'm going to mention PJ Morrison for Alloa. Thought he looked really good in sticks.
  21. A tough watch but safely through. Thought Butcher should have been hooked at half time but he had a much more assured second half. Makes me wonder though why Mugabi is always the fall guy when often he's playing better than the rest. Two outstanding strikes from Spittal which also beggars the question of why his corners and often passing in general is so poor at times. Gent was excellent again, look forward to seeing what partnership he can forge with Montgomery once he settles in. We really need that kind of energy on the right. Miller slotted back in seamlessly. He really is a boy with the game at his feet. A Rolls Royce at the tender age of 17.
