I saw him play 5 minutes against us. Unless he's lost a limb he'll still be a better option than today's trio.
Van Veen is an intelligent player with good technical skills. The three today were various shades of Ollie Shaw.
We are in serious bother.
We need the Australian to be a Premiership level striker and also sign two midfielders to play with Miller. If we ever end up with Davor and Halliday as the two man central midfield in a league game we get a severe doing. Signing Halliday was utter stupidity.
Kettlewell slaughtered the players on the radio but needs to take a share of the blame. The formation change at half time completely nullified our best player. Kris Doolan must have been delighted.
Either he is away from his newborn for 10 months or he moves his wife from Australia to Scotland in winter with an infant. Both options make us spending money on him riskier.
So this Australian guy is on his way and will presumably be here for the whole season with a newborn in Australia?
That would seem dicey for us even if we weren't paying a fee.
We need two midfielders minimum. I'd expect we will hear more on Nicholson and Callachan at the Q&A on Monday.
Craig Napier had a perfect view of the foul on Paton and chose not to give a penalty. Scottish refs are a joke.
Wells is actually older than Miller so there's no point holding him back on the basis of age. He should get a run out at some point against Thistle.
Aberdeen, Dundee, Livi and Ross County are the teams with 100% records. We'll obviously know what we need on Sunday but I don't see us catching two of them to get a seeded place.
This isn't quite right. He didn't play at all for Columbus before he was loaned to Oxford and there wasn't even any photos of him in America.
He only signed for Columbus on paper for the league minimum salary to save Oxford money.
Cadden obviously knew he was signing with the Americans in an attempt to exploit a loophole to benefit Oxford. The contract he signed in the US was worth less than he was on at Fir Park so he knew exactly what he was doing.
In the end he only shafted himself. The stereotypical thick footballer.
We haven't really done that though. Maybe Seddon and Kaleta will improve us but it looks a stick on just now that SOD will start at least the first two games of the season and as we saw today he hopeless.
If you look at areas of the park central defence hasn't improved at all. The midfield is a shambles. And the two strikers who played today showed zero composure. We've signed a dozen players and there's not one of them you look from these games and think they will improve us from last season.
