RWB, a creative centre mid and a striker should be the three.
-
Erik and Courtney recovering from their experience of the Well.
-
If you had ever seen him play you would know Miller sits deeper and passes to more advanced players.
-
You don't think Nicholson and Paton being our only two creative players is a bit of a problem? A team built around Harry Paton is a team that's destined for relegation.
-
It probably means he can buy another one with the payoff. If Kettlewell doesn't get some creative players in look for it driving up Airbles road around November time.
-
Van Der Gaag sacked by Man Utd. Radcliffe obviously needs a scalp to save some face.
-
The U21s have only had one competitive fixture which was against Kazakhstan since last November so there was no point in moving them up when the u19s had a chance to qualify for the European Championship and potentially the u20 World Cup. The u21s have been doing well in their group anyway with Barron and Cameron starting in midfield. Miller and Watson will be involved in the big qualifiers coming up against Spain and Belgium.
-
The last time Miller was in the u17s rather than u21s it was when the u17s had bigger games. He would definitely have learned more from playing Italy u17s than Kazakhstan u21s. Yamal has been playing for Barca under top level coaches and in the same system as Spain. Miller is coached by Kettlewell and Ricky Foster and and despite having great technical skills had pass completion of less than 70% because the team is so poorly coached that he often has no one to pass to. Our young players are slower to develop because of the lack of quality coaching in the country. Abderdeen gave a 16 year old his debut this season. Miller played a few days after his 16th birthday and Celtic gave Ben Doak a game aged 16. I think Yamal would be fine here.

He's still with Canada for the Copa 3rd/4th place game which is Saturday night over there.

There's some incredible stuff on P&B with the club claiming they hadn't seen Barmack's spending plans before he published them on Friday. So either the Executive Board supported Barmack's takeover without asking him for a business plan or his published plans are different to his privately stated business plan. Either way it's a fiasco.
-
I think what sums this whole thing up is that they don't even respect us enough to give us 51%. The 50.1% is so obviously a way of making it as easy and cheap as possible for Barmack to eventually get majority control.

https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/24438541.motherwell-board-tarnish-legacy-handling-investment/ Graeme McGarry with another spot on article.

https://x.com/MotherwellWorld/status/1810343964286861434 Kettlewell is obviously saying the right thing by staying out of the debate about investment and fan ownership but i've got to admit if I got a notification for a 35 minute Youtube video where he gives his take on the full saga i'd be getting the beers and popcorn out and sitting down to watch.

The response on Twitter to the outgoing chairman's statement is quite something. I've obviously been keeping an eye on this for a while and on Twitter I've been noticing an increase in the number of fans favouring reject over the last week or so. And the flip side is no increase at all in accept as far as I can tell. Facebook might be different but I stay well clear of that.

McMahon "As has been pointed out, this is a vote on the Barmark proposal not the WS outline plan. But there is one key area where some read across is vital – new investment." Translation: This vote isn't about the Well Society plan but i'm going to make it about that anyway because I'm bitter and desperate. Talking about 'stringent safeguards' days after Barmack has published a business plan which commits to spending millions more than he is putting into the club is absurd and hypocritical. The club and Barmack's unprofessional behaviour during this process has been the biggest boost the Society could have hoped for.
-
That's a great statement to make today. Compare it to Wilson who had nothing substantial to say and there's surely only one way for sensible fans to vote. I've already got my Reject vote in.
-
Spending more on pre and post match entertainment than on our starting striker.
-
Wilson is an investment banker so it's not a surprise he is in favour of this. When he did the independence economic plan for the SNP in 2017 it was austerity on steroids, he's not exactly a man of the people.
-
Hopefully it'll be kicked out in two weeks and we can all stick this farce in the memory hole with Covid lockdowns and McGhee's second spell at the club. What's very telling is that this started out with a very expensive PR campaign from a prestigious Edinburgh firm and talk about Hollywood and Netflix but as soon as we got to a point where the fans were able to scrutinise the deal it all crumbled. McMahon and Barmack have embarrassed themselves with the grudgingly revised offer and the last minute shitty business plan. It's all been bluster from them while the Well Society have stood strong due to commitment to the core values of being a fan owned community club.

That's good we are getting more mainstream coverage. The figures in the document are back of a fag paper nonsense. Spending a fortune on an App for a support of our size is crazy and as I have said before you can bet all the money from this spending will end up back in California.
-
It might be because we signed a load of crocks in their 30s?
-
Moses clearly isn't capable of playing as a lone striker. It's early days for the Serb but it doesn't look like the role would suit him either.
-
Wells looked miles off it but it was a difficult one for him because of how poor our play in possession was. Despite starting 10 players who were at the club last season we had zero structure or attacking patterns. Wilson was decent and I'd say he showed enough to prove he can back up Seddon.
-
Ox SOD Casey Gordon Blaney Wilson Miller Halliday Wells Paton Moses He seems to be sticking with the Steve Clarke tactics despite the players not being suited to it. He's probably missing Seddon, Nicholson and Robinson from the first choice XI but it's still very poor.

We are getting linked with Callum Hendry. Kettlewell loves signing ex St Johnstone, Ross County and Accies players. What does the head of recruitment actually do?
