I think it's more like he's hoping to get his coupon on a docuseries but he's not got the balls to come out against fan ownership.
-
Does anyone know if Tam Cowan talked about the takeover on Off The Ball today?
-
2-1. Can't get the ball in the second half. SOD outjumped at the back post as usual. The Steve Clarke tactics are brutal.
-
His left foot is good. Running is his problem.
-
2 nil. Miller drove into the box and got pulled down. The ref gave a pen, the linesman changed it to a free kick. Halliday shot and Moses hammered in the rebound.
-
Aye. A nice set piece goal. Halliday with good delivery and Blaney volleying in at the back post. We are struggling to create though. Paton seems to the Spittal replacement in the same system.....

Seeing how many people are queuing for a ticket rather than buying them online I don't think Barmack's going to have much success with his hi tech plans for the club.
-
No wonder they struggle with spelling. Not a bad idea. I couldn't be any worse.

Is Kieran not Irish for Kevin?

https://x.com/GavinMcCafferty/status/1809347134002454718?t=TyZbd2am63JTu-M4HwTvnw&s=19 Barmack's document use incorrect figures for our financials from Kevin Maguire's Twitter account. The correct figures are freely available on the Companies House website where anyone with half a brain can find them. The guy wants to be our chairman next month and he has no clue what our wage bill is.

No one in the world who isn't already a Motherwell fan wants to watch a game between us and Ross County or St Johnstone in the pouring rain in the middle of winter. Even Barmack who is presumably writing off his expenses against tax could only be arsed coming to one game. 'Global' is delusional.
-
It'll be the money the club have sitting in the bank. It's pretty obvious that he wants to use the club and funds from the Society and the club to develop and test marketing tools. Is that we want for the future of our club, a focus on marketing, developing AI and global branding? The entire situation is absurd. Roll on the 23rd of July so we can get back to reality and focusing on our core business and improving as a team and a community club.

Looking at Transfermrkt and Livi have brought in 9 new players the same as us. Not the most exciting game on paper but we'll see plenty of new faces. We're at home 4 out of the next 5 Saturdays and on the other Saturday we are at NDP. Hopefully we can build some good momentum.

Gavin McCafferty on Twitter Feeley told us the other night that we had no need to worry about this as Caldwell and Lindsay are now "Motherwell men" who could be trusted 100% despite the fact they have already been siding with Barmack over the majority shareholder. The guy is completely deluded. When asked what happens if they leave and are replaced then it was another thing that "we'll deal with that when get to it".

Grant Russell is making some good points on Twitter about Barmack's plan not including ongoing costs of staffing and support for the CRM system he is proposing. The AI and CRM have to deliver profit of £300,000 a year just to break even according to Barmack's plan but there's zero detail of how the marketing actually results in more money for the club.
-
Barmack is planning to spend £1m of the club's money on 'predictive AI marketing'. What's the odd the company providing this service is also owned by Erik Barmack?
-
£75,000 in income for a docuseries. Plus "international sales rights" of an unspecified amount. Absolute peanuts.
-
He wants "auto registration" of international fans into the Society. So instead of being a community club we are some online joke outfit.
-
First line. "Our vision for Motherwell FC stems from a passion for the club...." Erik Barmack is a multi millionaire who has found the time to attend one solitary Motherwell game in his entire life. If you swallow this shite you will swallow anything.

I'll try to summarise one of the best points I heard from a board member.... At the moment board members are sacrificing time they could be spending with their families or on their careers to contribute to the Society and club. Members are contributing money they have worked hard for. if Barmack's deal goes through any time or money put into the Society will be a free contribution to Erik Barmack making a profit on his investment. Why would anyone want to do that?
-
We've finished 3rd and played in Cup Finals under that model. 300 grand a year from Erik Barmack isn't going to change anything on the park.
-
I'm the same. I'm feeling optimistic after tonight. It was very clear that all the board members against the proposal are well prepared for the vote and moving the Society forward and that they have put a huge amount of time and effort into dealing with this issue. As far as Tom Feeley goes I'll give him some credit for coming out and putting across his position but whenever detailed criticisms of the deal were addressed to him all he could respond with was "I would hope" or telling us to trust Barmack and other non WS board members. Considering that we are talking about the future of the club and millions of pounds of Well Society member's assets 'hope' and 'trust' are nowhere near good enough. There was a point just before I left where Tom Feeley and Sean Baillie were discussing the future of the Well Society if Barmack takes over and the contrast in detail pretty much summed the night up. Sean clearly explained the likelihood of the WS not being able to meet the funding commitments in the deal and the danger of Barmack's marketing of the club leading to match going fans being outnumbered by new online fans in Society votes. All Tom could respond with was 'we'll deal with that in a few years if we have to'.

The day to day running of the club and dealing with employees is the CEO. If the Executive Board have officially directed Caldwell to bury the plan online that's a huge red flag against them. If he's done it off his own back it's a black mark against him. We'll find out tonight. People at the club beyond McMahon obviously want this to go through. Suzanne Read and Bob Park are very clearly pro Barmack on social media. It's extremely unprofessional but that's their MO.
-
The social media channels are controlled by club employees. Caldwell is responsible for those employees.
-
Caldwell seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth. One day he's pro ownership, the next day he's refusing to promote the Well Society plan on the club's Social Media. It's sensible from his perspective but it shows he's not at all trustworthy in terms of representing fan ownership on the board.
