As i said the other day nothing against Craig Reid but he should be nowhere near our team and him playing in midfield is a sad sight. The fact McCall and large parts of our support think guys of the level of Wee Dan, Reid, Law, Vigurs and Lawson are Motherwell standard is why there is a decent chance we'll be playing lower league football next season.

The only positive about McManus is that his general demeanor suggests he might agree to tear up his contract and take his skills elsewhere.

The worry is that Ross County usually splash some cash in January and come on strong in the second half of the season and that St Mirren might appoint a competent manager.

Harsh on Sutton. He is a limited player in terms of mobility but his attitude is always first class.

Every team we play the manager will be telling them the same thing. They are old, they're unfit, they'll buckle in the second half, press them high and they won't know what to do. Aberdeen will do from kick off what Partick did in the second half.

Who's going to turn into a good player? We have a squad full of guys who have various combinations of being too old or injury prone or suffering from chronic injuries or being completely unathletic or having displayed a consistently poor attitude throughout their career. These aren't issues that a manager can solve and I haven't even mentioned footballing ability yet. Also the reason you have been reading that we are pish for ages is that we have been pish for ages, we have barely played well in 18 months.

Paying good money for Lasley, Hammell and McManus next season doesn't inspire confidence. Lasley looks fit now so he needs to make sure he is fit for day one and not day 120 in 15/16. McManus has bad knees and looks as if he thinks playing for us is beneath him. We should try and encourage him to leave. Hammell appears to be knackered with injuries which doesn't help but he is where he is because he has played for us so much so we have to support him.
