My linkhttps://www.kickstarter.com/ being serious mccall is the most important man at the club, he has publicly spoken about his lack of his staff and the scale of his job. taking time off when we are struggling doesn't set a great example. if he agreed with strachan to miss this trip it would send a message to the players, the support and our opponents that we are serious about improving.
-
the only reason for the sub was to get ramsden an appearance fee. Josh law was dire in the first half on the left so mccall sorts it by sticking him behind the striker so he could ruin more of our play.
-
credit to cummins for this. he was moving like a man 14 years his senior in his appearances last season, if he wants a career in football it's something he'll need to work hard at.
-
maybe if they leave him one of their free tickets he might go?
-
hopefully we will see a reaction today. st johnstone will be confident after the hammering they gave us in the midweek game and tommy wright will be telling them they can dominate us in the middle of the park. it's up to our players to step up and match them physically.
-
banned ffs! the pair of them obviously get a bit worked up but it's not like we're struggling for space at away games these days. anyone who is that bothered by surely can move a few rows. we had about 400 down at killie on saturday, there is no need to chase anyone away.
-
law is a tidy player but he's not contributing anything. he gets the ball takes 7 or 8 touches running into space then plays a nothing pass. he was an empty shirt yesterday, out his depth.
-
have the club said what injury sicknote has this time?
-
what position do you think he should play and what do you think he was told to do yesterday? i'm at a loss as to what this guy will give us. yesterday he seemed to be playing 10 yards outside vigurs doing nothing. not giving us width, not helping reid, not competing in the middle of the park. i can't understand what mccall saw him doing that saved him from getting hooked. when nicky law was here the players called him nicky mccall because he was the manager's favourite but at least he was a player. josh law seems to be getting the same preferential but he doesn't have a tenth of the ability.
-
if we can find the funds i think we have to. twardzik is a liability and the goals we are losing from outside the box will be hurting team morale. gunnar has the tools to be a decent keeper but has confidence issues and mccall seems to have burnt his bridges with him anyway so he's not going to get over them. another randolph or ruddy is obviously unrealistic but someone solid, even at the level of meldrum would help a lot.

how is it possible to play that badly for 80 mins and not make any subs? you could have pulled anyone out the crowd and they could have done the same as josh law, the guy is an imposter. we have a centre forward that scored 20 goals last season from service from wide areas but we had carswell and reid as our width and four centre mids who got owned by sammy clingan. vigurs was knackered after 20 mins, was limping about after 70 yet played 90. what does dom thomas need to do to get on the park? the keeper is the biggest problem. counting the fulham game he's lost 6 goals from outside the box in 7 games, i would say a good keeper would have saved every one of them. the guy is 5 foot 10 max, we're shooting ourselves in the foot every time he walks on the park. the rest of it is fixable. when hammell comes back and ojamma and ainsworth get fit we'll pick up enough points to be comfortable bottom six. anything above 11th which allows us to do a complete squad overhaul next summer has to be seen as a success now.

one week to get a keeper in.
-
it's woods vs fraser for our worst ever keeper.
-
is that player wages or the entire payroll of the club though? edit - that works out as £62,000 per week so it can't just be players.
-
do you think mario bilate is getting paid more than lasley, sutton, hammell and mcmanus? the guy was without a club and was previously playing for sparta rotterdam in the dutch second divsion. we have £1.5m to spend on player wages. if we can't afford his wages it's because we have chosen to pay too much to too many mediocre players. on the topic of dundee united they seem to be doing quite well recruiting players at the moment, possibly due to darren jackson having spent some time working as an agent prior to joining their coaching staff, they also seem to have good contacts in holland.

we sat through some of the worst motherwell performances and football matches i've ever seen last season and other than the attitude and commitment of the core players there were almost no positives. the club responded by raising prices and setting an ultimatum for the well society whilst preparing so poorly for europe that we were beaten over 210 minutes by a part time side and also making no attempt to fix the glaring deficiencies in our squad. in the last two games we have been totally shut down by inverness and dundee united despite the fact that neither of those two sides have a single player who is out of our price range. the club has the resources available to put a competitive team on the park but we are wasting them on too many players who are either too old, not good enough or don't have enough respect for the club to get themselves properly fit. how many season tickets do we have to sell just to pay the wages of nielsen, cummins and mchugh this season? i'd estimate 600.
-
how exactly? if you were watching a game on tv and one team didn't put a single shot on target what would you think about them? rangers under smith or scotland under levein got slaughtered for those types of performances.
-
the bar isn't on target. if we were playing advocaat's rangers or o'neill's celtic fair enough but we should be able to test dundee united's goalie over 90 mins.
-
90 mins without putting a shot on target.
-
trialists aren't allowed in league games.
-
he sounds more like another tony thomas. injured in december 2011, comes back for 11 games in winter 2012 then gets injured again and hasn't played since.
-
i had a look at the site and it seems like we finished in 13th place in the tournament.

he was 47 when he left fir park (3 years younger than SMc is currently) and he only had another three seasons as a manager after that. he obviously ended up with a cushy number at ibrox but given the increased budget that was made available to mcleish he must have some regrets that he didn't stick around at fir park. litigating against hearts and then walking out of raith rovers after 6 days probably made him unemployable for any chairman other than his brother. alan curbishley has barely worked since taking west ham to court for selling their own players,he probably has some regrets as well.

what does he say about jumping ship to the jambos?
