  1. there's not a chance it costs that much. i would hope the horses that are these matches to give them and their riders something do rather the police forcing us to pay for them.
  2. even after VAT the club make £20.83 on every 25 quid ticket and the costs of putting the game on are surely less than 10k. Playing two or three ties at home is a very good money spinner for the club.
  3. agree with that. watching their midfield harass and get on top of dundee united in the cup final was night and day from how we approached our three consecutive thumpings from them.
  4. we're in a bad position having to get a win or a high scoring draw on an astro pitch that won't suit our players. they will be very confident. putting fraser kerr on to play right mid was unbelievable, he has always struggled there but he's massive now and has the turning circle of mid size truck. the game started with us almost losing a goal from from our own set piece and ended up with us losing a goal from our own set piece, it reminded me of the scottish cup game at pittodrie in terms of utter ineptitude. vigurs was meant to be at left mid but i can only assume he was chasing the ref along with half our team.
  5. i don't think anyone cares about individuals going but if we only have 3000-3500 fans in the ground tomorrow night it will have an effect on the atmosphere and possibly the performance. this is is the first time i can remember feeling that the club are ripping fans off in terms of the price of a home match and it's something that i hope never happens again.
  6. so admission prices should never be up for discussion?
  7. four years ago the club thought £15 was a fair price for playing an icelandic team at this stage of the competition, at this point in july. there is no reason for this fixture to be a tenner dearer and fans are right to consider or not whether they want to pay this amount for this game.
  8. i estimated at the first meeting that you only probably needed 20-30 votes to get onto the board. barnstaple was the wrong choice for chairman due to his links to the club and also because of his clique's attempts at the meeting in dalziel church to change the rules of board election so they would be able to vote two barnstaples onto the board.
  9. i thought he eventually showed a few good touches when he started going to look for the ball but he didn't have much of a clue about what he was supposed to be doing playing behind sutton and looked utterly lost for the first 15-20 mins.
  10. he might have changed his mind after saturday.
  11. 3500 at £25,£15,£10 should generate roughly the same amount as 5800 at £15, £9, £5. it would be better to have more fans in the ground imo.
  12. patrik twardzik couldn't get a game for livingston last season.
  13. the last time we played an icelandic team in this round and in the same week we got 5,990 at £15 and £5.
  14. £25 is a ridiculous price, no surprise.
  15. if we get through it'll be one of these 43 teams. the teams with stars are seeded teams in the 2nd round and the teams without coefficients are the teams playing seeded teams in the second round who we (or the icelanders) could get if they pull off an upset.
  16. there were two or three or crosses that should have been easy that ended up over the bar. if you have to fly across the goal like superman to save an average shot a lot will go in. the first goal was a flashback to last season, a free header in the six yard box from a corner. the number one jersey is still free so we might be looking for a keeper.
  17. law played right back for alfreton town last season.
  18. how many established premier league players did they have in their team? scott parker. they obviously have a bigger budget than us but we weren't hugely outclassed. the general fitness level was positive, the keeper and our efforts going forward were the negatives.
  19. from what i saw of him he is more a playmaker.
  20. there are euro 2016 qualifiers on the 12-14 june 2015 when we are away to ROI so i think the sfa will want to keep the season going for as long as possible. the FA cup final is the same day and the championship play off final the previous monday. the EPL finishes the same weekend as the champions league final which could cause problems.
  21. it was difficult but aberdeen just got less likeable. langfield, anderson, considine, robson, jack, flood, mcginn, pawlett and goodwillie. cocksockets one and all.
  22. i don't know about that. u20s games at fir park still have a few stewards working but the close door games i've been to at dalziel park with as many people in attendance don't.
  23. if this doesn't work out there are loads of tour companies on the main road who loads of different day trips. i went white water rafting when we were there against braedlibek. also if anyone thinks going swimming at the geothermal beach is a good idea beware it's a lot colder than it sounds.
  24. that's a longer return journey than a leg of the krasnodar trip. 2000+ miles.
