he was our player of the year two years in a row, deservedly got into the scotland squad and got us a big fee. If his form of 2007-09 was guaranteed it would be no brainer but he has had some bad injuries. You would hope we would be cautious after wasting so much money on mcfadden.
-
if it's iceland celtic will be in town at the same time. I went in 2010 and had a great time but with the cost it's definitely not worth repeating a trip. Bangor would ideal if we get enough tickets.
-
there are 30 either/or options and 8 single teams we could draw.
-
josh law is a midfielder who played part time last season and has only ever played non league football. he should be extremely grateful to be at fir park and hoping we sign the best players available.
-
i know mccall is a law family friend but i doubt even he would have guaranteed josh law a starting place.
-
possibly. i thought there was scope for him to improve this season but i'm not too bothered he's away. we'll be better off with someone who is less of a blunt instrument playing alongside sutton.
-
if we have broke even on the total costs incurred by his loan, signing and wages we have done very well. remember that he was subbed off at tannadice after toiling for 45 minutes and dropped for the final 3 games which suggests the management don't value him too highly.
-
he's had good games and bad games. he was superb against celtic a couple of months ago and shut down jonny russell at tannadice playing at fullback the season before so there is some ability there. he has two years left on his contract, it's up to the coaching staff to bring him on.
-
it's not just one game though. it's the increase in the season ticket price, the extra cup game and the cost of the european games. on top of that if you have put money in the well society it looks like it will be a dead duck by the end of the year. the board used the carrot of fan ownership to entice half a million quid from the support and have abandoned the idea within a couple of years. the well society episode has made me think differently about how i support the club financially.
-
i don't think boyd would come here for the difference in money and status between us and killie.
-
great news. i'm glad to see it's a two year deal, he's barely missed a game through injury over the past few seasons i don't think it'll be a problem. he's obviously not as mobile as he was but he reads the game so well now he doesn't need to be.
-
goodwillie has probably went from over rated to under rated. if he focuses on his football and trains hard he'd be a good addition to any scottish team. however he is a an arsehole of man and i hope we don't sign him.
-
i only meant that it would make sense from a team in hibs position, especially since butcher knows him well and dempster loves a bit of ethos.
-
speaking of hibs i could see them making an offer to Las. they need experience and leadership and he knows butcher well.

ainsworth's goal at easter road was the best.
-
8 of them against celtic. twardzik made a few decent saves while he was here but he wasn't greatly tested.
-
in the 5 games he played we conceded 18 shots on target. in the 5 games gunnar played around those games (2 before, 3 after) he faced 39 shots on target. wee dan was in the right place at the right time.
-
he's not likely to get a deal as good anywhere else. he'd be mental to leave for any less than the remaining value of his contract..

leeann said they would try and ring fence the money. there was no guarantee or obligation. do you really think they have an account set aside with the £150,000 the society paid for 6% of the shares?
-
i thought that as well but that turned out not to be true. the society has to purchase the shares from the club at a ridiculously high price which the society board have made no attempt to negotiate on.
-
I don't really see any chance of the figure being met. Getting the society established was a strong motivation for people to put their money in initially, given that we are miles away from the MFC board created figure of £1.5m, any money invested now isn't likely to have any noticeable effect on the society or the club. Even now they are asking for over £300,000 to effectively stay in the exact same place we have been for the past year and a half. What happens if you upgrade your membership but the total isn't reached? By the sounds of it the money stays in the society even though the society is effectively on the way out. The likelihood is that you would be putting your money in for nothing. I've felt the society board has been too in thrall to the club from the beginning and the fact that they are willing to give up on their stated primary objective because the MFC board decided so proves that. I don't think it's fair to be critical of the society board for the lack of fundraising but they have failed to put the needs of the society they were elected to represent ahead of pleasing Weir and formerly Dempster.
-
which to me means over £99,999.
-
what do the well society board have to say about this?
-
mccall's obviously ran out of ex bradford players to sign so he's signing their relatives. Look out for leroy daley being handed a two year deal shortly.
-
if we have freed up the wages of hutchinson and mcfadden we should be able to sign a few guys to a add a bit of flair and fitness to the midfield. it's up to the manager to find them.
