  1. Going forward we need to find a way to ditch our manager and the vast majority of our squad without costing us anything or accept we are going to be terrible until August 2015 and cut the budget to the bare minimum until then.
  2. We played some great stuff under brown. 3 goal wins at pittodrie and rugby park, three absolute hammerings of hearts, sticking 4 past st johnstone, aalesunds, 6-6 and 3-3. Not bad for less than a year.
  3. Why did we only have five players on the bench? After the no show at Perth, only using two subs against Aberdeen, not bothering to put a sub on against united and losing a goal with ten men and now this McCall has been having a nightmare recently with the basics of being a football manager.
  4. i wasn't at the game but the albion rovers coach who watched us last week said they'd be hoping to keep it to 3 this is the team that mccall built
  5. hutchy, murphy and reynolds all signed three year deals which is as long as you can expect 20 year olds in their positions to sign. If we can't sign players to longer deals we should look at giving them deals that expire whilst we are still due compensation but agents are probably wise to that.
  6. I'd start Sutton and Moore to let them build a partnership and give big sutty a few cheap goals for his tally.
  7. I think Dunfermline are still the benchmark for shite defending. Jason Thomson, Austin mccann, andy dowse and alex keddie will take some beating. Killie seem they like they should be better than they are. They probably can't afford it but they need to sack Johnston ASAP.

    Kilmarnock

Moore. Sutton and Kerr runners up.
  9. I was at the game and he was shocking. Young guys like Moore and Johnston looked lively, Faddy was embarrasing.
  10. Moore, Sutton and Kerr played very well and the rest other than Faddy were decent. Killie are a poor, poor outfit and other than the wee number ten they were shocking. Our first away game in a month and it was another small away crowd. We usually take 800+ to killie, I'd guess we had about 400 today but I don't think they announced it. We'll see what effect the poor fare is having next Saturday.
  11. We've looked extremely unfit this season so this can only be a good thing. I was hoping that McCall might cry off his kettle and cones duty this week but obviously not. Having a guy airdrie sacked in charge for any length of time doesn't sit right.
  12. I read in the paper today that the Inverness players have given up there 5 days off during the international break to do extra training. I suppose there's no chance our players (or manager) have done the same thing following the shambles against united?
  13. Anier has been terrible the past few games so Moore should start against killie with Sutton. If he doesn't pick up extending his loan is just more money down the drain. Hopefully McCall will be working hard with the players in training to improve our attacking play before the killie game.....
  14. Short short term we should send Anier and ainsworth back to their clubs in January and have a serious discussion with Faddy about his future and contract. After that try and bring in a bit of creative quality on loan in January with any money freed up and blood erwin, Moore, Thomas and leitch to get an idea of what they can contribute to the first team. Next season we have Nielsen, Ramsden, cummins, Kerr, Angol, carswell, lawson, vigurs, Sutton and mchugh signed up. It's unrealistic to see us moving any of them on so there might be hard decisions to be made about renewing lasley, hammell, McManus and Hollis. Hutchy will be off. We've got a big rebuilding job and not a lot of scope to do it. The opportunity was there in the summer to reload the squad with young, hungry players but McCall chose to go the other way probably expecting a bit of short term success with experienced players winning him a move down south. With the contracts we've got it'll probably be summer 2015 before we can properly rebuild and I would be shocked if anybody in this squad other than hammell, carswell and a few of the younger ones are still here in two years time.
  15. i only lasted an hour but i thought sutton's attitude and effort was first class
  16. from carswell going down to getting off the pitch they had 2 minutes to make a sub but they let us play with ten men. Criminal.
  17. I'd be quite confident with Rambo and mick playing together. Fingers crossed.
  18. I'm Manchester that saturday so I'm definitely not going but this could be the first time in all my years supporting the well that it's been hard to get a ticket.
  19. We can definitely score a few against united, their defence is murder. Hopefully McCall and black spend a bit of time with Anier this week as his effort can't be faulted but his positional play needs improving, if him and Sutton link up well they'll cause problems.
  20. It's a bit different, he was training and not playing for four or five months before he signed for us and he was obviously trying to impress at Sunderland so he would have built up a decent fitness level doing that. It was painful to watch him struggle to get around the park at times today, he needs to pick it up.
  21. We don't know how much training he actually does due to his knee problems.
  22. it said leitch in the paper earlier this week
  23. Against SPL sides we've scored one goal (from a corner) with lawson on the park. No way should he start on Sunday.
  24. Playing for extra time against ten men. Brilliant.
  25. Mcleish has a cabinet full of winners medals as a manager, two promotions and big wins with Scotland. McCall was a disaster at Bradford and has done an ok job, he finished 3rd with the third best squad and 2nd with the second best squad but when he had to show some managerial skills in the summer he failed miserably. His record in difficult games is abysmal with 1 goal in the combined 18 games we've played in European competiton and against the old firm away from home. He's also took a club that had something like 40 clean sheets in the 100 games prior to him arriving and decimated the defence to the extent that we have only kept 9 clean sheets in the 60 games since the start of last season. You would assume that is the sort of thing clubs would look at when hiring a manager. I didn't expect us to stay well ahead of the city clubs this season but I didn't think we would fall back so far either. A signing policy that can best be described as 'old and slow' slow left us looking to a converted fullback who hasn't properly established himself as a pro and a winger who was available for the entire summer and ignored until we got desperate to create something in a massive game. He had money to spend and everyone on here knew we had to bring in creativity yet we didn't. Nielsen, Kerr, lawson, vigurs and McFadden have contributed nothing. McManus looks the part sometimes but our highly paid experienced defence still ships more goals than the blue square players Inverness are paying buttons to. I don't think expecting signings who contribute or to be occasionally entertained is asking too much.
