  1. Is hegarty in charge?
  2. Door to door. Get McCall, hateley, hutchy, Humphrey, ojamaa and randy into the team mini bus and on a tour of the uk's training grounds to try and drum up some business.
  3. is it not that we are hoping that dundee united pick up injuries against ross county on the saturday? it's still inexcusable moving it this late.

we were a better team last season with a more balanced midfield than we are right now.
  6. not a great performance but when your up against a defence of mannus-mackay-davidson-mccracken-wright you are always going to get chances. good finishing from higdon, he's scoring enough this season to paper over his flaws. that's 16 goals now with 15 games to go, he should be looking for 22-25. it's been a good season for strikers with higdon, griffiths, mcginn, hooper, russell and mackay all certs to hit 20+ and thompson and daly being likely as well. everything after the third goal was horrible. mccall's subs were terrible as ever and the team totally fell apart in the last ten minutes. we have the same problem all the time, we have effectively a two man midfield and las and law can't give 100% both ways for 90 mins. carswell should have been on after the 3rd goal and moving law forward made no sense. if we were able to see out games we'd be outright second, still in the scottish cup and a good deal less skint. it's a sign of a poorly coached team that we continually find ourselves utterly lost when a team who are chasing the game put pressure on. even when we were winning goal kicks, free kicks and shys we were doing nothing apart from giving them the ball back and it's a poor reflection on the coaching staff that a problem that first appeared in august is still with us in january. gaining points on hibs and aberdeen has made this a productive weekend but we've a lot of hard work ahead of us.
  7. I would guess that murphy was on 5 times the wage of fraser. He didn't sign a 2 year extension for buttons
  8. he did add body strength the last couple of seasons. he is always going to be rake thin though.
  9. i think a part of it is that we don't build up our players. aberdeen, dundee united and the edinburgh clubs' fans are all deluded enough to think they are big clubs and have local press which tell them they are: P&J, courier, EEN, the scotsman. that gives them a mini old firm mentality and they are desperate to believe that their players are better than they are. a little hype goes a long way: look at danny wilson and john fleck or even wanyama who was moved into the £10m bracket as quickly as izziguire and kayal were moved out it. there is no benefit for the media to hype up our players and our fans are too grounded/pessimistic to do so. when murphy was picked ahead of godwillie for the u21 playoff and was superb in both matches we should have been shouting from the roof tops about him and doing everything we could to market him as an exciting young goalscorer. instead he got papped out wide so alan gow could play up front. united and their media pals made goodwillie out to be the next big thing despite the fact that he was up on rape and assualt charges and most of his goals that season being tap ins, penalties and deflections and got £2m.
  10. a serious lack of games at the moment. 5 saturdays in a row without a match.
  11. i've heard rumours about holdalls of cash
  12. why is leeann dempster replying to emails to the well society?
  13. the society board doesn't need the club's permission to consult the members. if they sit back and do nothing while this 8-8-8 gets pushed through they open them to accusations that they are too close to dempster and co and don't want to cause them any problems.
  14. the club can do what they want the society should be contacting the members and communicating regardless of the club's position at the moment. as i said a while ago this is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate the society functioning.
  15. from their own document surely it's time to start?
  16. lawell on the the news saying all the spl clubs are in agreement about reconstruction. the silence from the society is deafening and in direct contradiction to the aims of the society outlined at the last meeting.
  17. st johnstone have signed richard brittain on a precontract. would have took him at fir park. there is something a fishy going on at mcdiarmid park imo. they have shitty crowds but a large squad yet they seem to break even every year.
  18. we'll sell him to big eck for £750,000. which funnily enough is the amount of our cash he spunked on shaun mcskimming, john hendry, eddie may and andy roddie.
  19. this new league system is the biggest change proposed in the history of scottish football. teams having their results from the first half of the season scrapped and going back to zero points is contrary to the principles of annual football seasons that we have had in this country for 120 years. surely the trust has to at least consult the members on these proposals and open communication with the club?
  20. i think that their top earners will making around the same as ours but they will have 9 or 10 players on that money whilst we have 4 or 5. niall mcginn came from brentford and i don't think they pay huge amounts and if they are paying any of the rest of them more than 3 or 4 grand a week they are being well and truly bumped. you probably do need to pay players a premium to live in a city with all the miserable bastards up there though.
  21. Who are aberdeen paying big money to? There won't be many players at pittodrie getting paid more than darren makes at the moment.
  22. i've got the one in the cup replay down as a langfield og but that might just be me being harsh.... for whatever reason players don't seem as willing to get their head over the ball and put their laces through it these days.

    2012

that was my highlight of the year. athens was great as well but the atmosphere for some reason was better in valencia probably due to it not being as warm and the ground being fuller. the performance of the young players that night was unbelievable and it was definitely one of my proudest moments as a motherwell fan.
  24. law and murphy missed in the shoot out. higdon, clancy, forbes, hateley, mchugh and hammell all scored. it does seem like our team are feart of penalties. in that shoot out lasley was subbed so he didn't have to take one and law went 8th. these are two guys that play centre mid, are on the ball often and shoot and score from range but they won't take a free shot from 12 yards. murphy hit a great penalty against hibs a couple of years ago, tried the same one ten days later against odense and was unlucky to hit the post and now he clearly has a complex about them.
  25. i've got a horrible feeling that mccall is going to use this two week break to convince himself that omar is worth another chance and that'll he start against st johnstone
