the proclaimers vs david guetta played 3 times.
-
we would still have to pay for a replacement for murphy so i'd say we're better off hanging onto him and losing for nought next summer. if we wanted a fee we should have played him up front all last season so he ended up 15-20 goals and a bit of hype. i thought he played very well last night. he made quite a few opportunites and used the ball well. the pana coach switched sissoko over to his side in the first half to try and stop him getting forward as much.
-
how can you be sticking up for a guy who ended up a full 5 yards away from the man he was meant to be marking at a set piece?
-
hutchy was a bit naive with some of his challenges in the first half but being over eager isn't anywhere near as bad as not bothering to track your man.
-
boumsong's run is why randolph didn't get the ball. if higdon had bothered his arse to track the run he could probably have cleared it himself.
-
higdon losing boumsong cost us the first goal. terrible defending.
-
saunders has played at centrehalf for us quite about 14 or 15 times, inlcuding a couple of great performances against the old firm. the one time him and hutchy played together they were excellent. ramsden hasn't show anything to suggest he is better than any of the three of saunders, cummins and page. we got good results in the past throwing in hutchy, saunders and reynolds, we should have trusted in the young players and tried to get a replacement in for jenno.
-
mark mcghee led us to the exact same spot. should we not have questioned the signing of bob malcolm? also i predicted that higdon would score 17 goals. doesn't make him a player, his marking for the first goal tonight - again after the everton game - shows he is a liability. he is no less fat than he was last season.
-
we signed him because he is one of mcall's ex players. it remains to be seen whether or not he can play in a number of positions. tonight suggested he struggled in one. i've no idea who we could have signed but surely knowing that is why our management team get a wage?
-
a solid decade of league two experience. the guy is an injury prone nobody who has got a deal with us because mccall is deluded enough to think the players who got him sacked at bradford are good lads. we only can only be grateful he didn't get a two year deal like omar.
-
i think he has been signed to play cb. he's no better than saunders, page or cummins, we should have used the money on a midfielder. obviously no ex-bradford holding midfielders available this summer....
-
you pay £15, £20 or £30 to watch your team play their first ever champions league match.... you have an A4 sized bit of paper. do you.... (a) forget about the paper and watch the game, supporting your team (b) roll the paper up and throw it on the pitch hindering the game you have paid to watch, annoying the players you are supporting and risking the club getting fined by uefa.
-
what's clancy got to do with anything? on tonight's showing he is no better than our younger players who can play cb. use his money for centre mid who hasn't played for bradford and we might have done a bit better tonight.

what fucks up the east is that the idiots running the queue let one person past them to go through the gate then when they have went through the next person. you end up with the person in the turnstyle taking the tickets having a gap of 10-20s between entrys, extrapolate through the full queue and it's obvious there are going to be delays. tonight i walked down from the taggarts end at 7:15 and walked straight to the turnstyles none of which were being used despite the large line waiting all the way down to cooper. the stewards should be told to manage the crowd so there are always 4-5 people waiting to be seen by the person working the gate.

we played really well, they were average and we still got beat two nil. we made chances and didn't take them, we were unlucky that our chances fell to higdon and humphrey rather than players with a bit of composure. the higdon header in the second half summed us up. a great cross and a good player scores that goal. for us it goes straight to the goalie and we're well beaten. ramsden didn't look too clever but that's what you get with league two mate's rates. lasley, murphy, law and hateley were all superb and hutchy had a good second half. hammell and randy played below par and henrik struggled but they are all good footballers and if they all stay fit we should be riding spl teams this season. pao looked average but it's difficult to tell how hard they were trying. sissoko was the best player on the park and the wee guy sitting in front of the defence was superb. we've nothing to lose now so hopefully we go all out in the away leg, it's all about the first goal.
-
keith, law, murphy and hateley were all superb. las was the best tho, the guy is a natural leader and a club legend.

the joke was relating to the fact that taxi drivers here give you the same patter only it's rangers vs celtic.
-
it was a joke you muppet!

who needs the battle of the boyne when you have the trojan war!

i saw it when i got off the train back from town on saturday night. it looks that good i had to go in for a pint
-
exactly. anyone who is willing to shell out 650 notes can get flights, accomodation and a ticket no problem.
-
he booked that in the lobby of my hostel. i was extremely jealous.
-
no one deserves a seat on the plane more than anyone else. there is limited availability and there is always going be some who are unlucky and disapointed. the people who used a bit of initiative got the seats which seems fair.
-
the scenes after hateley's free kick in denmark were unbelievable. taps aff and a good 10 minutes of jumping about, you would have think we had won the tournament rather than defeated 2-1. if we can top that on this euro campaign we'll have a memory for life.

i was talking to flow at the game yesterday and he said that they had so much interest in the charter they could have filled two flights. the problem is that when they looked for a second plane to charter the best deal they could get was 3 times as expensive as the original charter so it was a no go.
