rangers and celtic have never been relegated in 120 years. they have never finished outside the top 3 in the history of the spl. in my lifetime they have never finished in the bottom half of the league. the only way they wouldn't be in the league would be by either resigning or being kicked out or having heavy sanctions placed on them. sky quite smartly protected themselves against those outcomes.

every football club in europe designs their business model around the tv deal. only one country in europe has fans stupid enough to force their clubs in financial penury.

all i want is a club to support. a half million hole in our budget this season is putting that at risk. we are supposed to be taking responsibilty for the club through the society yet the first thing the society does could put us into administration or liquidation. no wonder derek weir quit.

have you not been reading these threads? the majority on here - and in the society - don't care about a jot about the future of our club. sporting integrity is their priority. at least if we go into administration we'll know exactly who is to blame.

these tickets costs are the price of sporting integrity. the club will lose income if the newco aren't allowed in. they have to replace that income from somewhere else. any motherwell fan who is suprised that the shortfall is going to have to come out their own pocket is an idiot.

if the clubs choose to invalidate the contract by refusing the newco share transfer then sky and espn are well within their rights to cancel the contract. they're not a charity.

we are facing a long term threat to the club at the moment. i've been told there will be a cash shortfall and that the begging bowl will be coming out to hit the support up for more money. if we run out of money what is sporting integrity going to do for us?

you are ignoring the fact that the rules allow newco share transfer. they could have been allowed to remain in the spl entirely punishment free and it would have been completely within the rules. the rules were changed whilst rangers were in admin to create harsher punishments. the same could have been done to us but wasn't. the second place team in the first division look like they will replace them. the same thing could have happened to us but didn't. i'm not saying the two situations are the same but as i understand sporting integrity if you are in admin and finish bottom then you should probably vacate the league.

but what about the sporting integrity? we'll do what we have to to survive again and if we lose a few fans then who cares...!! we're better off without those who would happily see the club in financial difficulties or withdraw their support on a whim.

there was an spl vote scheduled on newco share transfer. society members were balloted on which way the club should vote. in what way is that a sham?

the juniors rejigged their entire league structure for the benefit of the bigger clubs not too long ago. getting a ten point deduction and demoted to the first divsion is punishment, a lot of people might not think it's enough punishment but it is a punishment. where was your indignation when we got away with being in admin and finishing bottom without even a slap on the wrist? and obviously i think scottish football is great. i wouldn't go to 40 odd games a season if i didn't.
