  1. i'm going up to buy my season ticket on wednesday and handing my stamp back. i'd urge all well fans to do the same. if we cut back on stamps we can probably bring back shaun fagan to fill the number 8 jersey
  2. stamp addressed envelopes, a4 paper and printer ink?
  3. i am voting yes! pissing in the wind but i'm genuinely worried about a potential cash shortfall this season.
  4. dunfermline have a guy called gavin masteron who they owe £10 million to. ronnie macdonald allegedly uses some dodgy methods to balance the books at accies. also they only have two low maintenance stands and all their players are utter shite.
  5. i've seen a few first division fans saying they could handle a newco if they got a second promotion place or playoff. one year of hunnery for something that would boost the long term prospects of every club.
  6. we're already 18th. when the good year drops off we'll be mid 20s unless something unbelievable happens this season. bert
  7. they are banned from europe for 3 years regardless.
  8. i remember being at the game thinking that united's support was terrible for it being a reduced entry game. i also remember the east being so busy people were standing up the back and near enough every seat in the section i was in being used. edit - 900 according to their website. so the financial equiavlent of a 250 travelling support.
  9. when the points from 2007/08 - manchester, celtic making the last 16 of the CL and aberdeen getting through the group in the uefa cup - drop off next season our league ranking is going to drop to the mid 20s. we will have a champs league spot and 3 europa places.
  10. we won't have any more or less chance than we do at the moment. that's not going to encourage any extra bodies to come to fir park. we only need to look to the attendance at the st johnstone game to see lure of european qualification.
  11. what's funny about that? there were five places but it looks like we'll be down to four for a good few years. just read tam cowan's column about the well society and the fans backing the club. great stuff but i don't see thomas cowan anywhere on the members list?
  12. it was reduced entry and the final day of the season. i'd say our support was about the same as at the reduced entry hibs games. why will a one horse race be any more appealing than a two horse race? there's not going to be a greater chance of european football as we are about to slide down to 4 places rather than 5. bigotry is not the dominant factor in scottish football.
  13. there was a lot more than 5500 well fans at that game. it was reduced entry and the east was packed with the other two stands busier than usual. united's support was about the same as st johnstone brought through in the previous home game.
  14. i think we'll make top six no problem next year. hearts are cutting back, st johnstone look to be losing sheridan and sandaza, aberdeen are brutal, hibs are brutal, united have lost a good few players and killie are utterly rooked. a 22 point penalty is the only thing that worries me.
  15. i think that would probably be the best solution at the moment. it's in line with the punishment of juve over calciopolli, i'd maybe add in a 2 year scottish cup ban as well.
  16. what is going to spark the new era? rangers will be crippled for three or four years then it will be business as usual. the reduced tv income will hurt us more than the city clubs as it is a greater portion of total income. we'll hopefully see the prize distribution changed and the voting structure. i don't believe that will have any tangible effect, the prize money was discussed earlier and even if the voting is changed it's unlikely to lead to much reform. hibs, celtic and aberdeen all want a ten team league and if prize money is reduced we're hardly likely to want to spread it thinner by expanding. splitting gate money is pie in the sky. we are going to pay a high price for sporting integrity. hopefully everyone will be as committed to supporting the club through a tough peroid as they were to forcing rangers out the league.
  17. it says we'll make minimum £250k from europe. the club have stated many times we need to sell players. it's easier to do that when you have had a bit of success eg paterson, clarkson and quinn.
  18. i think it's friday. each ballot paper has a reference number on it.
  19. we made a £540k profit the season before. over the two year period we made a profit which is good going. the plan was clearly to use the profit from 2010/11 to cover a loss in season 2011/12 with the aim of having a good season, getting europe and hopefully selling a few players. rangers have thrown a rather large spanner in the works.
  20. yes. it also points out that although other clubs are in the same boat we would be docked more points (21) than any other club, celtic apart, who go into admin next season. the figures given are frightening. £500k loss last season and possibly losing net £650k of income next season. take all the well society money (£360k) and the playing budget reduction (£200k plus jenno's wage so maybe £300k) into account and we are looking at a shortfall of around half a million and that's if we perform the same way we did last season.
  21. £970k total patg income. 31% from rangers. 29% from celtic. 31% from the other 9 clubs. therefore 9% from motherwell fans which is £87,500. the other 9 away attendances at fir park were pathetic last season. hibs in the reduced ticket game and hearts in august were probably the only ones who broke 600.
  22. it doesn't mention how much queen's park or morton fans chipped in so it's probably only spl games. plus we had probably 11,000 patg fans at £15, £10 and £5 at the three scottish cup games so that surely isn't in the £87,500.
