Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
steelboy replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
i'm fairly certain the vote will go this way. the poor clubs - us, ict, st johnstone, dundee united, st mirren, ross county, killie, - plus rangers will vote it through and take the heat for it. celtic and aberdeen will vote against it because the majority of their supporters hate rangers vehemently. it's complete posturing from both of them as we know and lawell knows how much celtic fans stick by their team - we've played their twice to sub 20,000 crowds recently - and with no old firm games and a team who aren't competitive in europe every day is mother's day. milne is tight as fuck and wants a 10 team league but he'll be pleased to make an empty gesture with their white elephant stadium on the horizon. hibs will vote against it because petrie needs to get fans on side after running them into the ground and killing rangers is about the only thing farmer will invest his own cash in hibs for. the other owners will make sure vlad's vote is meaningless. -
michael o'connor signed for rotherham today. fail.

hearts owe all their debt to vlad. newco isn't an option for them. i don't think killie could pull it off either. -
or you just take it anyway knowing even if you don't kick a in ball three years there you'll still pick up the best part of a million pounds in wages.
-
it looks cracking. it'll be weird watching us play in it though.
-
that is champions route only. the non champions route only has 2 rounds.
-
if that is the books balanced now we will probably have to lose jenno or sell to get anyone in. a team for europe at the moment? randolph hateley saunders hutchy hammell humphrey carsewell lasley law murphy higdon i was thinking hateley might play in midfield in europe with saunders at right back the same as the last time we were involved but it looks like saunders will be at CB. getting either jenno or a new centre mid is the priority.
-
he's got two years left on his deal. brown was talking about taking him on loan again next season. deffo not released.
-
reynolds is apparently on over £10k a week now sheffield wednesday are in the championship. i'm sure he intends to get every penny. wednesday might loan him out again but it'll be to the highest bidder.
-
you're not playing ffs! wear a hat and drink plenty water
-
i was wrong about our final league position but we were headed in that direction until ojaama came on the scene.
-
copenhagen - we did well against odense and although they are a better team we shouldn't be scared of them. pana - if the drachma makes a comeback hopefully all their players will fuck off brugges - don't know anything about them. kiev and fenerbahce would ride us.
-
hopefully copenhagen can do it. nordsjaellend are playing horsens who need a point to clinch third so they have something to play for. brugges would be nancy part two so it would be a shame if we couldn't get them. athens, istanbul and kiev definitely in the hat for us now. only the great capital cities of medieval europe will do for the well in the champions league.
-
only the 8 permatations remaining..... pana from greece. nords from denmark bayern win - spartak, braga, kiev, fenerbahce, panathanikos chelsea win - kiev, fenerbahce, panathanikos, brugges. aek from greece. nords from denmark bayern win - spartak, braga, kiev, fenerbahce, brugges, chelsea win - kiev, fenerbahce, brugges, aek pana from greece. copenhagen from denmark bayern - spartak, braga, kiev, copenhagen, fenerbahce chelsea - kiev, copenhagen, fenerbahce, panathanikos aek from greece. copenhagen from denmark. bayern - spartak, braga, kiev, fenerbahce, copenhagen chelsea - kiev, copenhagen, fenerbahace, brugges. there is only one scenario where chelsea win and brugges aren't an option so i'll be supporting chelski tonight

he has to prove he deserves those wages. he was murder in his rare appearances for everton last season and has barely kicked a ball in two years. at the moment no team is going offer him any thing like what he has been earning since he left fir park.
-
if they had offered him a contract do you think he would have signed it? if celtic offer him better terms than he can get elsewhere he'd sign for them in a second. the main obstacle to him not signing for celtic is the fact they are unlikely to want him. the guy's stock has sunk dramatically over the last couple of years to the point where him coming back to fir park for a spell isn't that ridiculous any more. i doubt he would get an epl club after spending almost two full seasons on the sidelines and the last time he was in the championship he was extremely average in brum side that won promotion. he was never a great athlete and there are probably some doubts about whether he can recover fully from that injury. coming back here for 12 months to attempt to prove he can still cut it on the park before moving south isn't that bad an option compared to signing for forest or burnley and slogging it out in the championship.
-
how do you know this?
-
looking back for me that win - and the win up at aberdeen a few weeks later - papered over the cracks at the time and encouraged mccall to stick with tactics that weren't working for another couple of months. i doubt we'll ever score five goals from five shots on target over two away games ever again. novikovas' goal for hearts and our positive tactics against st johnstone was the big day for us. the fire was handy as well.
-
we've got another 30 of those performances to look forward to next season.
-
we've seen carswell because he's got the tools to play in the spl. if you had paid attention to my posts after the morton friendly in july you would have known bradley, mckinnon, halsman, lawless, smith and howarth were never good enough. anyone with their ear to the ground would have heard the nasty rumour about our youth development people being disciplined due to the amount of no hopers getting senior contracts.
-
the subs on today should have been players that we are hoping will contribute in the future. mchugh, page, carswell, josh watt, francis could all have benefited from playing today. i've no idea why forbes came on.
-
russia finishes today. ideally spartak and cska will drop points and dinamo will leap frog them to get the place. that would mean that russia would be off the agenda.
