totally agree. £600,000 seems cheap for keeper in the january window. if a club really wants him asap they should be willing to pay a bit more. i hope we keep him until at least the summer. after having randy and ruddy and even buzz's strong final season it would be a boot in the baws to end up with some micheal fraser type character again.

it's not really illegal tapping if the club have agreed a fee.
-
good work stevie's looking at another 3 full seasons of consistency after this one to match that, it would be some achievement but he's only 29 so it's not not impossible. hopefully we can get a few decent euro and cup runs in to get him up there.

it'd be good to get a big crowd but we beat them in february with the east stand as sparsely populated as i've ever seen it for an old firm game. scoring in the first minute obviously helped but the atmosphere was dynamite that day. for me it's less about how many turn up and more about the attitude of the people that are there.

i don't suppose you know his all in total by any chance? i've never seen the point in focusing on league appearances, cups are just as important.
-
is that definitely wark's total appearance record? i think i've seen that listed as his league appearances before.
-
the official site has hammell at 399 appearances. obviously after saturday we might be waiting a while for the big 400th appearance but hopefully it will be marked by the club. he's obvioulsy still behind at least ferrier, wark and kilmarnock but he's got plenty of time on his side and i'd wager on him getting up to 500 no problem. stevie seems to get the least attention out our old guard. craggs has the media profile and las gets the man love but hammell's contribution and consistency over the years just noses him ahead for me. whenever it arrives 400 appearances is a big deal and stevie deserves all the praise coming his way

my take on things higdon - he's upped his workrate but still not contributing enough. we should be looking for another striker in january. if we had a striker in the clarkson/jutkiewicz mould we'd be well away from celtic. we're 15 games into the season and there's not one game where you could say he's earned us a result, not good enough from a centre forward. humphrey - a shocking start to the season. passenger is the perfect description. forbes - mccall will already be planning what to spend his wages on next season. hughes - get him signed up. lasley isn't getting any younger and even if jenno survives this betting thing he's still not guaranteed to be here next season. we won't get the chance to sign too many players of his quality.

there have been champions league and world cup winning goals less celebrated than that third goal. utter chaos.
-
the problem is that with a few exceptions - benstead, tom english - they are a bunch of absolute muppets and the worst of the lot are the utter retards on sportsound. richard gordon, murdo mcleod, billy dodds, alan preston, chic young. a complete waste of oxygen.
-
that's the one.

by the look of things on twitter there's a bit on the prematch program tomorrow about lasley doing his coaching badges. so everyone get their sky plus set and some man size kleenex in.

is there any info on joining this?

let's hope the best is yet to come. we've got away trips to ICT and aberdeen coming up and a belter against hearts at tynecasltle on xmas eve . at home we'll hopefully put celtic in their place in a couple of weeks then united and hibs with the floodlights on after that. potential highlights aplenty there.

the first day of the season with the sun, the goals flying in and the football flowing had a great feel good factor. hateley's free kick flying in at st mirren park was probably the best individual moment.

the guys didn't march into hampden with flutes and drums did they so what's the problem. being a motherwell fan doesn't imply any political or religious beliefs/identitiy. all it means is you support motherwell.

kirk broadfoot was pulled up for 4 or 5 in the one game on rangers' run to manchester.
-
he did well with the header but he should have done better the three times he was in behind their defence and he should have got onto the one murphy rolled across the goal. i'll need to see the one after craggs' header again. not sure if the keeper saved it or if it hit him. a much better performance than the last time i saw him, hopefully he keeps improving.
-
it will be if misses half a dozen sitters again.

great result. if las had scored his header we would have romped it no bother. it ended up quite nervy as we fucked up 5 or 6 great chances in the 2nd but it was a well deserved 3 points. good shifts from everyone and clancy especially looks a lot more comfortable playing centreback now. hibs are brutal. what a decline they've had, in the past they always had a dangerman - stokes, riordan, miller, zemmana recently and other going back further - but now they're awful. their entire support didn't look up for it, the players didn't look up for and calderwood is surely only passing time until he gets his pay off. it's shocking how far a club that have took in a fortune in transfer fees and have a decent level of support have have fallen.

commons and mccourt are apparently in lennon's bad books for being piss artists. they punted maloney, mcginn is out on loan so that only really leaves naeneck forrest.
-
club statement says he's available for selection.

get a grip. the club is bigger than one man.
