it's amazing how liewell gets away with continually making statements to the press without ever being asked how he's getting on banning the poppy protestors.

i had a great time on sunday. the east stand turning their depeche mode tune back onto them was a great moment. there was a lot of moaning on h*n websites after the robbery last february. they took offence at the well fans charging down the stairs when we scored and the stick that papac was getting for being a dirty prick. let's hope we keep pissing them off and maybe do it louder and in bigger numbers so the arm chair arseholes can hear what we think of them as well.
-
the world's first 21 year old u19 player?
-
it's just general liewell deflection tactics. yes we got five players booked but our manager wasn't charging about square going people and allegedly racialy abusing oppo players.

a month long party.

celtic would need to come 2nd in the league and win the scottish cup. i think win on saturday sees us in as well. it would put us 8 points ahead of ict with them having to play dundee united (a), celtic (h), killie (A), hearts (h) and they'd be doing well to get 8 points from that.
-
i wouldn't read too much into the cup game up there. it was minus 12 and we had been playing 50 hours before hand. same team as sunday, if it's not working it can be changed easily enough.

he would have been better going abroad. a defender who doesn't commit many fouls is never going to do well in the english lower leagues. he's put in some good performances against the old firm and in europe so i think it's daft to say that he's not good enough. i doubt he would have been too enthused about heading to sheffield, he was apparently gutted about not getting the move to rangers then we knocked back swansea in the summer and they look like going up to the epl and he probably jumped as his options seemed to be decreasing all the time. it looks like he'll have a few years sitting in the stands picking up a large wage sure in the knowledge that when wednesday evetually hit the shitter again the pfa in england guarantee his wages.

there was an FA scout there yesterday to watch hutchy according to the papers, he must have been impressed. i haven't seen it commented on but it was the big man's desire to win the ball back after he hit the bar that got us the 2nd goal. he did a similar thing in the league cup semi as well, he's like an nfl linebacked when he's chasing someone down. watching the game back forbes had a superb game but every tackle was a foul! he won't get away with that too often. the pen was top class, i called sutty out on not taking pens on a thread a few weeks ago. good to see the big man responded

16 clean sheets in 39 games is a superb record, hopefully he'll get a few more before the end of the season. i noticed hollis wasn't on the bench yesterday, anyone know why?
-
craig brown: "john sutton is an exceptional player to have up front." why did you play gow ahead of him then ya old tosser? why did you only give him two minutes at easter road? why did you drop him after he scored against st johnstone? mon the sutty!
-
i went for sutty. it was close but the big man was superb and him squaring up to that big swedish chuff was brilliant. we need to get him signed up asap, he's added so much to his game since he came to fir park and he's a proper leader on the park now. keithy was a close second. i see comments on here about how some people don't see the fuss about him, surely they saw it today? he won enough tackles for an entire season and managed to keep the aggression in his game even though the ref was itching to send him off. everyone else was quality as well

if we were licensing our brand to the girls that's a good move on our behalf, hopefully we milked them. pretty daft on the part of whoever was running the girls team though.
-
it's the greatest channel in the history of tv! right now scott minto is standing in front of telly the size of a motor moving wee man u players about.
-
motherwell fc is what's on the park on a saturday. what benefits do a girls team bring us?
-
we're maybe waiting til after the quarter final and the split to see what we can offer jenno and sutty. i'd be delighted if they both stay.
-
aberdeen seemed a bit suprised by our formation. you can still see the weakness at their goal however, hateley has to push out because their is no midfield cover and hutchinson is left exposed. billy reid was at that match and obviously decided rather than try and counter with width he'd block up the middle of the field and man mark murphy. you've got to imagine that inverness, killie and dundee united will attempt to use their wingers against if we play that way. for the celtic game we should be lined up as we were in the semi.
-
surely a wind up! he was excellent up at aberdeen and decent on saturday. however i don't see this diamond midfield lasting too long as other teams will adapt and try to stretch us with wingers, i've got a feeling we'll see it on wednesday then it'll be put away for a wee while. not sure where forbes will fit in after that.
-
3 good signings out of 3 is extremely welcome after the last couple of windows. as mccall says we have options now and we'll need them during the next 8 matches. wednesday is our 38th match of the season already and we'll play a minimum of 50 but hopefully 52 or 53 (craggs has already played 42 games which is good going). if we're going to have a strong finish we'll need contributions from everyone and those signings could prove vital. a wee bonus fact is that tom hateley has appeared in every game since he signed, 78 games in a row.
-
it wasn't really anyone's fault, the boys at the front started celebrating in the aisle as you do and then more and more wee guys started running down the stairs and piling on until it became ridiculous. there's not a lot you can do to stop something like that unless you tie people to their seats, i ran the best of 80 yards when we equalised at hampden. i've heard this incident might count against us when it comes to not having plod at the matches. i think it was reported on the radio as fighting and apparently we're trialing steward only matches and being monitored and has apparently been noted as some sort of incident (even though it's happened plenty of times in policed matches).
-
i read a match report the day saying the hearts fans were giving goodwillie pelters. result - missed penalty. BEAST!!!!
-
well done randy. for me what's almost as impressive as the shut outs is that we've only lost more than one goal in 9 out of 37 games. quite an achievement when you have a centre half playing in every game that half the crowd seem to hate and are desperate to get the knives out for at any opportunity.
-
i think he's a total haddy but... the last time we played them he won every ball in the air and pretty much won the game for them by setting up russell's goal. i'd be happy if he missed the game just because of his presence at set pieces.

get well soon gary

there's still an decent chance of 4th getting europe. the scenario would be that the old firm side that comes 2nd wins the cup. it could be quite controversial as if us, dundee united, st johnstone, or ict make the cup final against an old firm side and the top six we'd know which team winning the league guaranteed us europe. by the same token kilmarnock and whatever sides aren't in the final would know that their only chance of europe is of the other team winning the spl. there's a lot of potential for for manipulation.
