  1. i don't understand this at all. 1. "in dundee" an unavoidable drawback of drawing dundee united away. it's slightly over an hours drive, plenty people do a longer commute every day. 2. 1.15. the dundee game was at the same time and there was no problem. if you want to get pished you'll be pished, if you want a pint you can get a pint. what's the difference between 1.15 and 3 on a sunday? 3. sunday, most leagues in europe split their fixtures over two days. we might lose some people who have to do other things but we'll probably pick up as many if not more people who are busy on a saturday.
  2. there's no way craigan would bail out on his country when he had had the armband and no way mccall would tell him to. they're not brown and lennon. team for saturday if craggs, lasley, hammell and saunders are all out randy hateley hutchy page gunner humphrey jenno meechan jones murphy sutton average age 23!
  3. hopefully not. saunders and hammell are out for saturday already.

    John Sutton

soccerbase are dodgy with the euro games. they've only got him down for 4 when he's played 14.

chrissy p looked a cert for it at xmas 07 but post phil the games were a bit more of a grind. porter's record of 27 in 67 games is still very impressive though. right now sutton's record is very similar to foran who had 35 goals in 104 games. if sutty had the stones to take (and score pens) he could have another dozen or so to his name.
  7. up the other end from gilmour though
  8. only if there's somewhere to land the team lear jet.
  9. mon the fox in the box! would the people who are greeting prefered we signed no one?
  10. not having a go at you, i just think we've been dropping points by small margins for a while and it has to be taken into consideration. accies - missed a pen and should have had another one hibs - saunders equalises with a good goal offside st mirren - jennings and gow missed sitters, higdon should have been off hearts - murphy misses a header from 6 yards with five mins to go rangers - pumped celtic - they score with a huge deflection. hateley shites out a good chance at the end accies - murphy hits bar dundee united - humphrey hits a header straight at the goalie at 1-1 with five minutes to go ict - both sides were unlucky st j - murphy shot hits sutton on the line, they get a dodgy pen rangers - haddy edu fires in a 30 yarder. alexander flukes save at end tonight - nae luck at all it just seem that nothing is going for us at all this season. going right back to the hibs game at the start of the season with missed chances and shite refereeing. we missed loads of chances and had a couple of stonewall pens denied against odense. the maloney dive against celtic. jenno missing the header against aberdeen. last season everything went for us, this season it's not happening.
  11. give him a break. anyone with a clue can get away without punaction on here. on saturday i'd leave esteban in up top with sutty and jones left, murphy right. humphrey needs some time out.
  12. if jenno nets his chance, murphy's made a goal. we were extremeley unlucky tonight. jenno misses a one on one. jenno stupidly gives away a free kick. the ref/linesman makes them retake a free kick for no apparent reason. hammell gets injured. it starts pishing down. randolph misses a cross and they score. no one let us down tonight. we've lost 3 midweek games in a row by very, very small margins. i'm going down to stranraer on saturday to get behind mccall and team and hopefully we'll have a scottish quarter to look forward to. in the league we've got a hard game at ibrox coming up after that there are points to take. aberdeen (a), accies (h), st mirren (h), celtic (h), ict (a) killie (a), aberdeen (h).
  13. you're wrong on two counts 1. wellfan1984 clearly has major contacts inside fir park 2. nae chance grimmy would give him the time of day.
  14. casagolda put in a decent shift tonight. he worked hard and played a few decent balls. if he wasn't that involved it's because the other players weren't looking for him.
  15. casagolda hasn't looked out of place whenever he has come on. he had a few decent touches at mcdiarmid and tannadice, he also looked not bad when he came on against st johnstone when we were 3 up. he's obviously a guy you'd rather not need to use but he's not some sort of steve mcdonald/andy smith/keegan complete imposter of a player.
  16. aye and foran is still doing a job for him years later. gannon would have probably have subbed marshall off before extra time started in the semi at easter road for trying to give a team talk without permission.
  17. i wonder if this has anything to do with the club moving out of boyle's control and potentially into some sort of trust. that's the most dramatic news we've had all season but there doesn't seem to have been much mention of it recently.
  18. does that not say more about gannon than craggs? gannon clearly has problems dealing with grown men who aren't going to cower in fear of him. in his autobiography big tel speaks of how valuable phil, marshall, leitch and craggs were to him when he was manager, would gannon have tolerated that kind of input? the gannon craggs relationship always made me think of the frank grimes episode of the simpsons. gannon obviously thought craggs was a diddy and the fact that craggs had achieved more in the game and had more of a media profile clearly rankled with the stockport superstar .
  19. our accounts are due at the end of the month, even although it'll cover last season it should make for interesting reading.
  20. the guy is clearly a screwball and is never going to have any success as a manager unless he has some kind of lobotomy/shock treatment. the motherwell players had a party when he left, the port vale players who got micky adams a move to sheffield united are already complaining about him and the first thing he did a peterborough was send their best player out on loan. he clearly can't deal with anyone who has a bit of experience and might question his methods which is why he always wants to work with young players. look at the performances lasley and jenno put in on sunday, the two of them could barely get a sniff under gannon. his parting comment about being impossible to keep clean sheets was shown up to be nonsense as we kept 23 in 53 games since he left. i've yet to meet anyone or hear about anyone who worked with him at fir park having a good word to say about the guy. what are people who still support him basing it on? he talked a good game but the end product was completely different, the first half against st mirren away on the saturday was the worst i've ever seen us play.
  21. they were doing the biz for micky adams.
  22. players we've signed on deals longer than a year (or extended to longer) recently. summer 08 - o'brien jan 09 - naebody summer 09 - humphrey, jenno, hateley jan 09 - naebody summer 10 - randolph, hollis jan 11 - naebody it'll eventually catch up with us. players likely to be here in july. randolph, hollis, saunders, hutchinson, page, craigan, hammell, lasley, hateley, humphrey, pollock, murphy, mchugh. 13 players plus possibly halsman, meechan and quinn.
  23. the squad is ridiculously thin. we've majorly rode our luck with injuries but we've got guys who clearly need a bit of a rest - humphrey, hateley and murphy in particular - but we need to play them every week and usually for the 90 minutes. jenno is a certainty to leave in the summer and sutton is likely to move as well and they are the only outfielders in our squad who could be described as mid twenties. casagolda and the cypriot will be shown the door and a couple of the younger ones probably as well. we'll be at least 10 outfield players down on what we had in the first half of this season and craigan and lasley will be a year older. succesive regimes have spunked all our money on short term deals and loans rather than trying to secure players who will make a commitment to the club.
