that was superb from boyle today. cardiff clearly don't give a fuck about paying their debts and the previous statement and legal procedures had no effect on them. now boyle's went on ssn went a bit mental and probably got 2 or 3 times as much airtime he was meant to and it's been on the news cycle all day. cardiff can't ignore it now and if they do the other championship clubs who are already beeling will be right on their case.

dundee united in the spl last season conceded an average of 1.23 goals per game. 5 points of 15 in the top six is also ok for us. our best return is 7 points in 08, in 04 we got 1 point and in 05 we got 5 points. when you also consider our early start and the fact we got sent to glasgow twice that's a decent return.
-
definitely not true. a quick browse at soccerbase shows that since mcghee's first game reynolds and craigan have played 97 games as a cb pairing and have conceded 111 goals. that works out at 1.16 goals per game which is decent for us and better than what dundee united managed finishing third in the league last season with all their big commanding centrehalfs. when we finished 2nd in 94/95 we conceded 50 goals in 36 games (1.38). you say we conceded 16 goals in the last five games last season but you didn't mention that we scored 13 (and missed a pen and had a good goal chopped off at tynecastle). motherwell going to ibrox, parkhead, tynecastle and having united and hibs at home and emerging with a -3 goal difference is nothing out the ordinary.

3 o'clock. same team unless something drastic happens in denmark. hopefully this time we'll take our chances when we're on top.
-
have a look at the highlights, saunders is exactly where he should be for the third goal. he's got riordan on the edge of the box before he slips the ball to miller. the problem with the third goal was the full midfield being far too far up the park away from the defence.

some people need to get a grip. we saw a cracking game today and narrowly came out on the losing end, that's fitba. where were the threads like this when we were keeping clean sheets every week earlier in the year?
-
i thought we played well very well today and totally dominated the first half, the game should really have been over before 20 minutes. the defence are getting a lot of stick but riordan, stokes and miller are class acts, imo stokes is probably the best striker in the league at the moment. hibs will always cause us problems and on paper should be clear favourites for third. we were are slightly unlucky that we had to play them on the first day before their imbecile of a manager fucks them up properly. we looked dangerous going forward today and when murphy, humphrey and sutton get properly into synch we'll cause teams a lot of problems. the same goes for the midfield it was a bit unweildy today but when they get used to playing together and figure out their roles it be ok. i don't think the heat helped us today either, we weren't able to keep up the same tempo in the 2nd half as we had in the first. craig thompson is a tosser. he gave us nothing at perth in march and even less today. he seems to think that his job is to make the game some kind of spectacle rather than just applying the rules. he gave us nothing at 1-2 but when it went 1-3 he gave us a penalty because it wouldn't be as vital to the outcome. a shitebag of a man who is clearly refereeing with one eye on the inspectors report and his attempts to get up the uefa pecking order. he knows if he gives a free kick every time bamba and hogg commited a foul people would accuse him of ruining the game so it's easier not to do it.

this is a load of shite. we win as a team and lose as a team. reynolds and saunders were both a bit below par today but were excellent last week. hibs have some of the best forwards in the league and will always cause us problems.
-
he's not that wrong. there's people that are 65 now that will have been born into the nhs era, took advantage of every benefit and have retired before the retirement age gets moved. they'll have made a fortune of house prices as well. they probably don't support motherwell though.
-
would it not be worth asking if you can do a pick up in odense on thursday?
-
not really. over the past three seasons we've had three wins, one draw and two defeats. same team as the aafk game. big yogi will do exactly what he did on his last two visits here when the pitch was playable and play riordan, stokes, nish and wotherspoon right up top, hopefully this time we will be wise to it. we need hateley, lasley and jennings to give the defence plenty of help, especially the full backs.
-
good idea, i'd perhaps take it a step further and suggest brown drops the entire first team squad and pulls 18 bodies out of daniels at half 11 on sunday morning to make up the squad. that'll really give the players something to think about.
-
you seem to be an expert on everything under the sun, maybe you should be the chief executive?

is the free kids in the cooper deal not still going?

murphy is still only 20, he turns 21 on the saturday between the OB game at fir park and the celtic game. could be quite a weekend for him. what no one is really talking about is that if the league reconstruction proposals get passed there would be no relegation this season. if that happens then there's no great need to sign anyone.
-
sport relief get all the free publicity they could ever need on the bbc, what would they have had to gain from linking up with us?
-
kyle scored one goal against top six opposition in 18 months. he is pish. hearts over the last two seasons average exactly one goal a game. which is pish. i'm not exactly shaking in my boots.
-
do you realise you can keep wearing it even if they bring out a new one?
-
what do you mean allow? this is more expensive than travelling to denmark yourself but the club aren't stopping anyone from doing that. all the club charters have been a couple of hundred quid dearer than the trip could be done independently but they've all been well subscribed as far as i can tell. it's always going to be more expensive. it obviously costs more to hire a plane for a one off occasion than it is for an airline to use one they own or lease. when my flight gets to denmark the plane will probably be cleaned, refueled and full of paying passengers again in a couple of hours, the club charter won't. booking one off ariport slots at short notice will be more expensive than block booking them for a long perid of time. thery're just a few of the things that push the price up.
-
who should support the club financially then?
-
they've not really put the prices up they've just returned them to a normal level. with 16 days until the game you only need to put away 32p a day. or find 17 hectors.
-
motherwell and dundee united fans make up a tiny propotion of the viewing audience, the home legs are likely to be the more exciting games where the scottish teams have a go and the tv money would stay in scotland rather than going to ob and aek.
-
after celtic blacked out the commentary on the braga match the bbc should be blanking them but with so many celtic minded working there that will probably be there first choice. the most sensible option would be to show united at home first then if we're still in the tie after our first leg show the game at fir park.

i don't forsee any problems with tickets but what's everyone's estimates for our support next week? i thought originally we would be doing well to get 500 but other people i've talked to think it'll be a fair bit more. hopefully the tickets will be on sale by sunday so everyone can get sorted at the hibs game.
