i don't even know where to start.

me and my brother are staying in a 15 quid a night hostel we're there for four nights so anything better would have bankrupted me.

is this not a myth? there's nothing in the accounts that shows boyle lending us money while porter was here and the wage figure paid out by the club went up significantly. i also think that clubs in england have been punished for paying players through outside sources as it's against the rules down there and probably is up here. to say we don't have money isn't true. the wages of o'brien, ruddy, jutkiewicz and coke and maybe reynolds are there from last seasons budget.

unfortunately the way i look at it. 1. a guy who has been playing what equates to regional non league football in spain. 2. a 21 year old who had never played for his club and was only part of their b team but for some reason they seem to think he's going to command a transfer fee at some point down the line. 3. if the young guys are being signed to flesh out the u19s then that's fine but we have quinn, haslam, meechan, innes, pollock, mckinnon, smith, mchugh and page who are too old for the u19s and need to try and make an impression on the first team at some point over the next two seasons. i don't think we need many more young players.

what we're being linked with certainly seems to be the bottom of the barrel. part time spaniards with dubious cv's, freed cypriots with mysterious sell on clauses and airdrie players. i thought the plan would have been to go for 2 or 3 quality signings with our own youngsters adding the depth. right now i'm starting to think we might be downsizing again.

you need plenty of centre midfielders if you sign mccormack because he's guaranteed to be suspended 2 or 3 times in a season. cracking player who gave us 100% in his time here and a couple of cracking goals but i don't think we need him just now though a 3 man midfield of him, jennings and lasley would be a scary sight for the opposition. since money seems to be tight funds should be going towards a keeper, winger and striker. a few quality players makes a big, big difference in this league.

we're seeded in the third round so we if we beat the icelanders we can't meet liverpool.

it wasn't exactly a glamour match when we played them in 2007. belter of a day out though.

i saw humphrey cuttting about in a pair of mfc trackies this afternoon. does anyone know if we're back in training or was it washing day?

there's 15 possible ties that would be a "team A or team B" and 25 possibles that would be a definite team. i'm hoping we get one of the 25 so there's as much time as possible to sort it out.

there's at least 3 and a half weeks between the draw and the first match.

when we drew nancy i had the flights for every team in our pot with the home and away dates all in different windows on the pc so when the draw was made i had the flight booked immiediately and for 30 quid return. so it clearly is useful.

he's an absolute arsehole of a boy and someone we should stay clear off.

the east stand will still be there in 1000 years time, it's the 11th wonder of the world.

you've got to remember that the fixtures aren't as simple as they seem. rangers and celtic and hibs and hearts can't play at home on the same weekend and they try to avoid it with us and accies which reduces the options. this double header isn't too bad. we should get a crowd and an atmosphere for the boxing day game at fir park and going to the paedodome 3 days later will be difficult but it's probably our most difficult fixture of the season so it's best to get it out the way on that awkward fixture day. it's quite handy we've got our two nearest away games around new year.

ict away on my birthday, i'm a certainty to get lifted good games over xmas as well. the h**s on boxing day will be a cracking atmosphere and it's good to get our only trip to shitty douglas park out the way on nyd.

how come i can't find the post saying what teams we might get, did it turn out to be nonsense? looking at it there are 15 ties we could get that are an either/or scenario and we'd have to wait a few weeks to book up and 25 ties that would be a definite team and it could get booked from monday. obviously it'd be cheaper to get the flights earlier so i'm hoping we end up with one of the 25.
