it's still obviously early, early days but i'm starting to get a worried about who we're going to end up with. so far we've signed one guy that 99% of well fans will be hoping they never see they play and a young centrehalf who was freed by a cypriot club, not exactly promising. obviously what matters is who's here on the 14th of august and the 1st of september but i'd be a bit more optimistic if i we could see some evidence of proactive signings. names like jack ross, dueuchar, moore and mcglinchey give me nightmares.

i'm one of the people who don't consider a goalkeeper being the 4th choice that much different to a goalkeeper being 3rd choice. things that matter to me. the fact that i've seen ruddy being consistent over a season for us. the fact that i've seen him pull off amazing saves. the fact that he's got a rapport with the fans and the club. the fact that i've met him a number of times and he's top guy and he seems to have been quite settled living up here. it's real life, not football manager.

this would be funny if it wasn't you posting it.

good news. i think the three year deal probably means he got the money he wanted with us getting a long enough contract so that we can hopefully get some of it back. now we just need a striker, a left winger a right back and a goalie!
-
was the game in 2004 not away to celtic? i'm sure it was a dull as fuck game on a sunday.
-
i honestly think mchugh will be giving us 10-15 goals a season by the time this contract ends. his touch and movement are superb, he just needs more game time and he'll be banging them in.
-
i heard he wanted the same as the top earners at the club, which right now i'd imagine would be jennings and reynolds. maybe his nightmare end to the season will have made him a bit more realistic.

i've kind of given up on coke and hateley. i heard a while ago coke's family didn't settle up here and he'd be off, combine that with the interest from down south and that he hasn't actually signed (and as of yesterday isn't being paid be anymore) and you have to say it doesn't look good. tom hateley was apparently making some ridiculous demands to the club. i think his da and his agent think he's worth a lot more than he is and are probably looking elsewhere. i'd be happy to see him signed for next season but if he's not at the first day of training we should tell him not bother.
-
considering we've only got 9 players aged over 21 (and that's including reynolds) i think it's safe to assume we'll see a few youngsters.
-
we did well but the weather and a week's training was the difference between getting beat one nil and winning eight one which highlights how big a facor it is.
-
i think that's too late to come back to be honest, if we get sent somewhere warm after only a fortnight's training we could end up taking a doing. i also don't buy into the theory that they need so much time off. guys like danny alves and xavi have been playing 60+ top class games a season for 11 months of the year for the past 3 years without too much trouble. other sports that are much more physically intensive such as tennis and pro cycling only tend to take a month off each year. 4 or 5 weeks off is more than enough imo.

toure maman, i think. his brother played for livi. he looked to be a decent passer of the ball but i don't think he'd have handled the pace of the spl or our pitch very well. i think there were some doubts about his age as well. those two guys have to have been the most over rated players ever. the centrehalf looked like he weighed about 15 stone and turned like the qe2 but plenty of people seemed to think he was the new beckenbaurer because he did a shimmy against bradford.

while it would be handy to have someone who can score penalties this isn't a move i'd be keen on. we've got a perfectly good left back and i don't think having a player/coach is a particularly good idea in general. brown's had a great start to his time here but he's got to prove he can cut it in the transfer market this summer. the attempt to get craig moore was a bad sign and micheal mcglinchey was a total waste of time and money who did the square root of fuck all on the park except take up minutes that could have been given to mchugh or pollock. for me davidson would be another backwards looking move, we should be trying to get guys who's best days are ahead of them.
-
does anyone know any details about when the squad will be back training and how long brown is away in qatar for? last year i think we had 10 days training before the llanelli game and it definitely wasn't enough.

your son's probably been paid more in the last 12 months than 90% of the people on this board and all he's done is play 70 minutes of fitba. his job exists because we're passionate about our team and we use this website to talk about every aspect of it, if that upsets you don't come on. marc fitzpatrick has made a relative fortune via the contracts mfc have given him. that's money that comes straight from the pockets of posters on here via season tickets, merchandise and license fees and tv subscpritions. posters have every right to question whether he's worth a new contract or not.

rule number one of the internet. if you're going to pull someone up about spelling/grammar make sure your own spelling/grammar is 100% correct while doing so. FAIL!

better watch what your doing or someone from the club shop will torch your motor.

scotland have been papped out the u19 qualifiers so there's no chance of a club versus country debate in july.
-
since we're talking about our younger players just now mchugh and saunders played in a 4-0 win for scotland u19s against montenegro today. boab scored the opener. scotland play belguim on friday and croatia on sunday to try and qualify for the euro finals. looks like there's quite a bit of depth at that level as the squad is missing wilson, fleck, slane, craig thompson, fyfvie, pawlett and tom cairney but is obviously still quite strong.
-
delighted to see this. as others have said there's loads more to come from jamie. he's only 20 just and has plenty of time, you only have to look at the improvements of scott mcdonald and david clarkson between the ages of 20 and 23 to see how a striker can come on.

dempster definitely comes from the h*n side of the equation. and whoever went out with her must have made some impression
-
apparently shes a h*n. there was a family of four absolute scumbags sitting just in front of her that never even flinched when the well goals went in.
