  1. does anyone have an all time appearance list that shows where the kaiser (and hammell and craggs) stand in terms of games played.
  2. i thought reynolds was superb today. i saw craig levien outside the ground prematch so he's hopefully gave him something to think about.
  3. the answer is that other people have opinions that differ to yours. shouting for a thread to be shut because you don't agree with the sentiment expressed in it is childish.
  4. no because st johnstone can do whatever they want, we're visitors and and if we want to see the game there then we'll have to go along with what they deem neccesary. fir park is our ground controlled by our club who only exist because of loyal support of a small group of fans. as gretna showed no fans = no club = no jobs for players and staff. for this sole reason the club should (and imo has to) show a bit more consideration towards the views of the fans. on saturday we had absolutely hopeless searches carried out by impolite stewards which anyone with half a brain could smuggled anything smaller than a telly through. added to that the stewards who were actually working rather than standing about looking glaikit were only letting one person for each turnstyle through at a time so there was constantly a lag between people going through the gates which caused hold ups. as other people have pointed out all the things chucked on the park recently have been been bought inside the ground. add to the fact that coins and lighters are the most common thing to see thrown and you can take them in anyway. if it's to stop booze coming in then i doubt how many people actually bring in booze in to scoop during the game and i'd say it's pretty much impossible to stop anyone who wants to do it anyway as they try far hard at music festivals and have very little success. it's understandable that you have to agree to be searched going on a plane or even into a nightclub. for fans to be told after x years of coming to fir park with no real problems that now we have to consent to be searched to gain access to the ground is a joke. the fact that it's an ineffective search carried out in an impolite manner makes it even harder to take and gives the impression that the club doesn't give a toss about the fans. also it's says on the season ticket that any person entering the ground may be searched by the police, not by the scrotes who were doing it on saturday.
  5. you don't really understand the point of a forum do you?
  6. when would we have to tell them we can't play? we knew on the 30th of december that we'd no game until the 23rd of january, having the park playable wasn't an issue. it looks like we had covers and the ush on for a fortnight for no reason and that's what done for the park.
  7. that's probably right, corrigan would have came in handy when the bold quinn got his jaw broke as well. things worked out for the best that season anyway so there's not too much point in doing the what ifs. corrigan was nowhere near the same player after the second injury. i think he's probably done a few what ifs in his head, did his injury not happen making a surge into the box trying to get on the end of a cross in a shitey last day of the season game.
  8. i think scottish would just about survive without you.
  9. the credit has to go to the back seven. ruddy, the four defenders and jenno and las in front of them. it's been a great run and i can see it going on for a while. i'm sure someone said it'd be impossible for us to keep a clean sheet

    Game Off

you are a shit for brains retard
  11. there was a notice up above the gate i went in on the day of the game saying that they were on the look out for forgeries and that notes would be scanned. there's something fishy about this
  12. aye and i think we've addressed the problems we had there. we were too fair before, the first time we played hibs the fouls were 3-21 this weekend it was 12-14. hibs and dundee united want to commit loads of fouls in every game and the best way to combat that is to force the ref to get his cards out. i think just now we've got the right balance of fair play and street wiseness.
  13. i've said this before but red bull salzburg's artificial pitch is quality.
  14. there are things which i see as holding us back but i don't think it's particularly things that the sfa can fix. i think the reason we're miles behind england is the lack of money available to be invested in infrastructure, the small population (with little immigration) and to a lesser extent the weather. we've all got complaints about referees but they're just as bad down south. i can't really see what the sfa can do, nothing except from a barrel load of money to spend on pitches and coaches is going to drastically improve scottish fitba. fatcalf - i agree about the foul play thing but it seems whenever a ref actually applies the rules (conroy in the kilie - h**s game this year and whoever reffed our game vs united in november) they get slated in the press by journos, fans and managers.
  15. as i said earlier we're heading for a hibs meltdown. the two morrocans and riordan have always terrorised us. today nae benji, nae deek and zemmana who ripped us in the first two games only got 15 minutes. yogi hughes's pet gowser played the 90 and was pish as ever and yogi was getting wound up in the post match interview, they've by far the most talent but i can easily see them blowing third. quality performance today from the 'well. we missed the juke but murphy added a bit of magic, big sutty led the line as well as he could, las and jeno owned the midfield and the back five were solid as ever (why was it 16/01/10 before they even played together)
  16. i quite his enjoyed his rudyard kipling quotation the other week. we wouldn't have got that if we had appointed tango and sash.
  17. i think this could be the start of a hibs meltdown. hughes was coming out with all the same shite he used to say after falkirk got beat questioning the player's commitment and i think another couple of bad results and he'll be ranting and raving again. alan gow starting in front of riordan on saturday was a strange decision as well, with the amount of attitude in that dressing room i could see them going off the rails. i'll say two nil to the well this week. the main thing is to compete with them physically, the stats for fouls in the first two games were something like 21-4 and 24-6. both stats are a total joke and a major reason as why we got beat in both games.
  18. i think everyone believes the drainage problems that were ruining the pitch have been sorted. in true motherwell fashion we seem to have an entirely different problem now. from everything i've heard it seems like the groundsman have tried to use labour saving methods like USH/covers/tractors rather than shovelling snow off the pitch and applying any food by hand.

    John Ruddy

turns out it was barry nicholson then. still some save at a vital moment. edit - turns out the save at pittodrie was from nicholson as well.

    John Ruddy

ruddy is a better keeper than buzz but buzz gets nowhere near the level of credit he deserves. he contributed as much as anyone to getting third. about two years ago this week he made the best save no one has ever seen up at pittodrie from a darren mackie volley when we were one nil down (we went on to equalise) then on the saturday he made 3 one on one saves at falkirk. if we lost both these games there's no way we would have got third imo. he was motm in the lappin game at parkhead and in the game we qualified for europe he made an incredible save clawing out a shot from aluko at 1-1. add in that he played his way into the scotland squad in his first season and that he was nearly flawless and in most top 3s for player of the year last season then we had a pretty good four years out of him.
  21. quite right spock, that point was highly illogical.
  22. we looked tired after wednesday and never really got going, it was just one of those nothing games that you get every so often and i'm just glad we escaped with a point. i was hoping we'd step it up a bit in the 2nd half but the double substitution killed any momentum we had and after that it was all accies. i'm definitely not liking john sutton's rebirth as a flying left winger.
  23. i always thought be against a plastic pitch but after watching red bull salzburg vs lazio i think they could the way forward. if we could get something equivalent to that i'd be quite happy.
  24. forbes knows he's onside, he came from behind the ball and two h**s, so he's doing the right thing by making 100% sure. are players supposed to start second guessing officials now?
