Good post London_Irish. There are far more deserving people in society than soldiers of schemes such as this. However not just the most commonly cited one's like police officers and firemen, but also the more hidden, less championed people such as carers. I'd also argue that people who are running youth clubs for disadvantaged/disabled kids (largley out of their own pocket) would be more deserving of initiatives such as this.

Shut the fuck up. Some of these soldiers have participated in an illegal war and have killed innocent civillians in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I did not clap them, they are not doing anything to enhance my level of security, nobody should be forced to applaud. Jog on.

If it wasn't for John Ruddy we'd be fucked. I fear the day he leaves us. So many times this season he's turned a defeat into a draw (Like today) and on the rare occasion a draw into a win.

Granted. However in terms of relative quality of player and manager we are far better than the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts, and on par, or slightly better than Dundee United. Therefore we are not punching above our weight. You can do well/make the most of the resources available to you, but it dosen't necessarily mean that we aren't justified in our league position. Just because the other city clubs have access to better resources dosen't mean that they will use them effectively; there is no righteous position any club outside the old firm should be sustaining.

What was the penalty for? Match reports claiming a hand ball (which I cannot see). I thought it would have been for the Jim O'Brien incident. My St Mirren supporting mate is adamant that it wasnt a penalty and that Hugh Murray got the ball, but, to be honest you cannot categorically say it was or wasn't. There is a very quick clip from a single angle, and the ref is also in the way. Only the ref knows if it was or wasn't.

Tuesdays inevitabily gonna be a damp squib now. I'm more optomistic of a result though.
