Crouch was 19 when he was on loan in Norway. There's a huge difference between 16 and 19 and a huge difference between Tottenham sending players out on loan and Motherwell sending players out on loan.

Goal was definitely offside. Penalty shout hit his arm but it was by his side and didn't look intentional.

My take on McDonald is that he had the option of leaving or extending his contract. He was told we didn't want him/couldn't afford him so it would be best if he found another club. McDonald agreed a deal with Hibs which fell through at the last minute so he exercised his option to re-sign with us. Looks like he's still available to other clubs and we'd be happy to rip up the contract to free up his wage. May be way off the mark though...

It was poor finishing that cost us. We should have been out of sight by half-time.

Hammell is overweight at the start of every season and after every injury lay-off. He needs to be training and playing to keep his weight down.

I agree that it should have meant something to the players but Celtic were always going to be more up for it. They needed a win like that or their title party was going to go down like a lead balloon. Let the Celtic fans think they're world beaters, we beat them when it mattered.It's also good management. No point risking having to pay a win or goal bonus for a meaningless game

Of course it means something to Celtic. That's why the score is what it is. Take Hammell and Lasley out the team and we're capable of taking a doing off any team in the league.

When the only team that's up for the game is the one with better quality and more experience a doing is also on the cards. Celtic can afford to take risks on the hunt for more goals so it could get worse. Last time we played them at Parkhead when both teams were up for it we won. That helped us get top six and at least an extra couple of hundred thousand so I'm happy with that. This game means nothing.

You couldn't be more wrong. I made one comment and then replied to a couple of responses to what I had said. What's desperate about that? I'm not in the slightest bit worried about Alan Burrows being GM or the job he is doing. By all accounts he's Motherwell to the core and is putting his heart and soul into the job and I applaud that. That's my first comment on the job he is doing so what is the story I am trying to make?It's people like yourself who seem desperate to keep something going by quoting me and talking crap which will always get a response.
