  1. They couldn't afford O'Halloran. They need loans to make it to the end of the season and they haven't even paid for him yet.
  2. Even with both of them away they're still not close to breaking even. They also need to minimise their losses for the rest of the season as they'll need special dispensation from UEFA to be allowed to compete in Europe (if they qualify) as they don't meet the FFP criteria.
  3. I don't think they can afford to bring in a number of players unless they offload some first. They need loans to make it to the end of the season as it is.
  4. Everybody should know how to play against them now. Press them high up the park and they will give you chances. No reason why we can't win this.
  5. I've been through most of the listings (although it's listed as Motherwell v Hearts) and there don't seem to be any streams available. On Alba at 10pm so I'll avoid the score until then.
  6. "Thought the Scott Brown booking was a strange decision I thought. I don't think he touched Cadden, and Cadden has tried to con the ref Kyle laugherty style, but the ref has booked Brown, so presume he does think brown has stuck his head into him. I've never seen a booking for that, always a red card. Shat it? Moult should have probably gone too mind you." I thought it was more that Brown stuck the ball in Cadden's face as Cadden was trying to prevent a quick throw.
  7. Is that Boyd's real voice or is he putting that on for a laugh?
  8. Crouch was 19 when he was on loan in Norway. There's a huge difference between 16 and 19 and a huge difference between Tottenham sending players out on loan and Motherwell sending players out on loan.
  9. Goal was definitely offside. Penalty shout hit his arm but it was by his side and didn't look intentional.
  10. Felt we were ok in the first half and Hearts would have been the happier team getting in at 0-0. 3 bad mistakes for the goal with the worst one probably from Lasley.

    Left Backs

Was Roddie not McLeish's brother-in-law or something?
  12. Adam Cummins is also a PT at Puregym in Motherwell.
  13. When did UEFA decide this? I don't think they will get a share.
  14. He would also cost about £5 million to buy and at 32 wouldn't have any resale value. Hope they get him.
  15. Richard Tait posted a picture of Clay in the dressing room with Motherwell training gear on.
  16. My take on McDonald is that he had the option of leaving or extending his contract. He was told we didn't want him/couldn't afford him so it would be best if he found another club. McDonald agreed a deal with Hibs which fell through at the last minute so he exercised his option to re-sign with us. Looks like he's still available to other clubs and we'd be happy to rip up the contract to free up his wage. May be way off the mark though...
  17. It was poor finishing that cost us. We should have been out of sight by half-time.
  18. Hammell is overweight at the start of every season and after every injury lay-off. He needs to be training and playing to keep his weight down.
  19. I think it's pretty obvious who he means. Not that I agree.
  20. Constructive dismissal and wrongful dismissal are 2 entirely different things.
  21. Did McGhee not just say Samson will start the season as number 1? That doesn't necessarily mean he'll remain so.
  22. I agree that it should have meant something to the players but Celtic were always going to be more up for it. They needed a win like that or their title party was going to go down like a lead balloon. Let the Celtic fans think they're world beaters, we beat them when it mattered. It's also good management. No point risking having to pay a win or goal bonus for a meaningless game
  23. Of course it means something to Celtic. That's why the score is what it is. Take Hammell and Lasley out the team and we're capable of taking a doing off any team in the league.
