I take it as a backhanded compliment that they were so happy to have beaten us they couldn't contain their emotion. When they scored the winner you'd have thought they'd won the league from their reaction. We must be a big scalp for them.
-
If it's a done deal where's he going? Without a source or a destination for Randolph I'm a bit sceptical about the whole thing.
-
They really are brain dead cretins. Pat Nevin commented on the bile that the Celtic fans were spouting during the first half of the cup final which I think was perfectly reasonable for a pundit to do. What I can't understand is why these balloons think he would he have any interest in or comment to make on what a relatively small group of Motherwell fans get up to behind closed doors in an orange hall 20 miles away from the stadium? It actually saddens me to think that there are morons like them roaming the streets completely oblivious to the fact that they are in fact the bigotted retards that they are so desperate to point the finger at.

When did he call the ref a cheat? All I read was that he reminded him there were 2 teams on the pitch and that goes on all the time in football at all levels without cards shown. I've also seen plenty of players swearing at officials without punishment so I fully agree with Jennings that it was harsh. At no point did I read that Jennings felt the card was deserved.
-
Not really. He said he felt the sending off was harsh and he only spoke to the referee the same way many other players speak to him.
-
The wording of the statement from the SFA could suggest that there are other matches down south or abroad that have also been looked into as part of the investigation.
-
I find it a bit strange that 9 other people have been arrested. Surely if Jennings was going to get involved in a potentially career threatening scam he'd keep it between him and as few people as possible? In my opinion it looked like a ridiculous sending off at the time and Jenno looked extremely p'd off with it. I'm not going to change my views on it until I hear that there is evidence to the contrary. However, it'll be interesting to see the club statement on it. 100% backing or carefully chosen words?

Judging by McCall's comment re "one poor performance" he's admitting that he's discounting the games against the OF. I do that as a fan as we've been pathetic against them for a while now but to hear the manager basically writing them off is a disgrace as he should be sending out a team to take something out of every single game. Season ticket holders should ask for a refund for the OF games if that's the attitude.
-
Sounds like a sore one today but we normally bounce back after a poor result (I'm discounting last weeks result as we don't seem to compete against the OF away from home any more). The game against Hibs is a big one now as the good start to the season will soon be forgotten if we put in another poor performance.

Tried to send a PM but don't think it worked. I'll be there at 6.30pm, black jacket, black trousers and black shoes. Possibly in a dark red Mondeo if cars are still allowed up that street at 6.30pm. Cheers, Graham
-
I'll take the ticket if you still have it. I can pick it up at whatever time suits you from 5.45pm onwards.
-
IMHO Mark Reynolds is never a left midfielder. Possibly a holding midfielder or a left back but never in a million years a left midfielder.

Nice to see "one of McGhee's biggest fans" admitting Shovelpuss was only in it to preserve his own reputation and that hes wasn't confident in his ability to carry out the job he was contracted to do. Thanks for confirming what the majority of us already knew.
-
I'm really not too bothered about Quinn leaving if we got the reported £300,000 plus for him. I'd love to be proved wrong but I really can't see him getting a regular game for Cardiff.
-
If Colin Calderwood got the job it could be the shortest reign in professional football history as the backlash would be phenominal.
-
Clarkson (like him or not) is an international player. A lot of people have stated that Paul Quinn is a winner and they like his attitude on the pitch but for me Clarkson has that same grit and determination but channels it better than Quinn and will win us more points. Out of Clarkson, Quinn and Reynolds I'd rather we kept Clarkson and lost the other two rather than the other way around.
-
I have no inside information but would be very surprised if more than one of Clarkson, Quinn or Reynolds were sold. We have lost the perceived highest earners (Malcolm, Buzz, Hughes and possibly Klmpl) through the end of their contracts and received a fee for Porter, McGhee and Leitch while also getting their wages to play with. Surely that would cover a reasonable number of Bosman signings?
-
Has Sanchez not distanced himself from the job? I've not seen anything official to say that he has but a couple of posters on here have stated it. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing who gets it and as long as it's not some ex-SPL diddy or lower league manager (Blobby Williamson, John Robertson, Gordon Chisolm etc) they'll get my support. Even if it is one of them they'll get my support initially but I'll be far quicker to let them know if I think they're shite!
-
Surely that depends on a suitable fee being agreed as he is under contract? I'm not overly fussed if he leaves as long as we get a decent fee for him as the fee and his wages can go to the new manager to bring in a couple of players.
-
I know for a fact that Scott Leitch used to go to Ibrox and suppoorted Rangers.
-
This years top 6 effort was certainly soild due to the fact that McGhee mad a total arse of the St Mirren game and we missed out.
-
Why would they not deny it if it isn't true?
-
Leitch will regret this move when Muttonley inevitably dumps him to further his own career.
-
I'd definitely take Nijholt with an assistant who has experience of Scottish football over anybody else I've seen linked with the job so far.
-
That's not really the point. I don't know where you work but I'd be surprised if your job was in any way similar to being manager of an SPL football team. If you pissed your customers about you'd probably get sacked with one months pay. It seems that football managers can do it all they want and then fuck off to another team or expect the rest of their contract to be paid up if they're sacked.
