  1. What, or who were the alternatives?
  2. Definitely worth the gamble as I imagine it was probably Louis or nothing at the stage when he was signed. Very low risk gamble as far as I can see.
  3. Shields is a shitebag, that’s 2 challenges with McGregor he’s pulled out of.
  4. Seems like reaching the crossbar not part of Kelly’s game either.
  5. Yes, there was one where Spittal aimed for a guy in row Z. That one worked.
  6. Collecting a cross on the six yard line should be part of any goalkeepers game.
  7. Kelly really needs to be coming for that ball.
  8. Game’s off: Our match with St Mirren has been cancelled due to extensive stadium damage and flooding caused by recent cold weather.
  9. No, because if you look at the language used there is no required distance in the second part. A player is choosing to take a quick free kick to gain an advantage without the referee getting involved in moving anyone back so they’re taking their chances of the free kick legitimately being blocked by someone a few yards away.
  10. In the first part the referee has asked the players to move back the required distance and the play restarts with the referees whistle. If an opposition player has moved forward, within 10 yards of the ball before the kick is taken it’s an offence and a retake. In the second example the team has taken a quick free kick, in which case the referee has not asked anybody to move back the required distance (so how do the players know what 10 yards is?) and the play restarts without the referees whistle. As soon as the kick is taken it’s fair game for the opposition to intercept.
  11. I thought it was more that his knee jot jarred in the collision with Mooy. Looked as if his foot was planted and he took the impact hyper extended his knee. However, I didn’t see what the physio was treating so it may have been his ankle.
  12. The linesman doesn’t make the call, the referee does. Even if the linesman puts his flag up the play doesn’t stop until the whistle goes. Did Clancy blow before the penalty claim?
  13. It doesn’t matter whether it was a clear goalscoring opportunity or not - if Gordon goes for the ball and fouls Moult (like what happened today) the worst that can happen is a penalty and yellow card. A straight red doesn’t come into the equation any more.
  14. VAR would never get involved in a second yellow like that - only straight red offences.
  15. Goss definitely looked inside to me. Should have been checked and if inside the penalty claim should have been checked.
  16. IMO the red card was correct. Watt’s reaction showed he knew he was in trouble as soon as he did it, he took the red card without complaint and gave a wee nod to Lamie (I think) on the way off as if acknowledging it was a bad tackle.
  17. Hopefully someone from the media will bring this up at the next pre-match interview and Hammell can provide an update.
  18. Common sense, lol. Since when did that ever come into the equation? There could be (and no doubt will be) goals scored from incorrectly awarded corners, free kicks and throw-ins but afaik there’s no mechanism to do anything about it.
  19. At a goal from a corner they would just go back to the corner being taken. Anything before that wouldn’t be looked at.
  20. Saw that as well. The officials have made a total arse of it.
  21. How do you know he is a soft touch? Have you been in the dressing room?
  22. We need more from McKinstry. He’s weak on the ball and looks like he’s moving in slow motion.
